Pretty sick live wally. I think it's a buck on the market.
http://www.androidzoom.com/android_themes/wallpapers/droid-incredible-eye-live-wall_gwor.html
have you tried it? does it look like the one in the Incredible commercial that just launched or is it like the one on the Moto Droid?
Its the Incredible Eye but the image is low res at 200% which is the only size that looks decent in opinion. The animation is perfect but once you set the eye to 100% it is tiny and doesnt live up to its full potential. If the dev increases the default eye size to that how it looks at 200% I will gladly repurchase.
I just gave it a go and I agree with Elite... Pretty cool though!
The tablet arrived yesterday. I dropped, of coarse, everything I was doing and opened the box. First thing I though when I had it in my hand was ‘it’s heavy’. I don’t know why I thought it would be lighter. It weighs 811gr or 28.6oz or 1.78lb.
Turned it on and started to look around. No dead pixels on the screen. Found the WiFi icon and connected it, no problem. Soon it asked me to update and I let it do it. Once back up and running I started to play Angry Birds. This game should be outlawed. It’s to highly addictive. My thumb is hurting today.
I charged the batteries until the green light came on.
After a few hours of playing around and exploring it was time to mod it. First came ClockWorkMod. I had read for days all that I could about moding, bricking and recovering and was ready. Next came VEGAn 5.1 and then the upgrade and last I installed the Clemsyn’s kernel. Try as I can, I couldn’t brick it. It all went smooth. I guess those who brick it just don’t read the instructions. It really was no problem at all.
By the time I was finished with all this my hands were tired from holding the weight of the tablet and I got to see why people complain about the screen. You just can not hold the unit constantly in front of you. It’s too heavy and when you slack, you drop it a bit and the viewing angle changes and you don’t see as well. I most definitely will upgrade the screen if a new screen comes out, like they are talking about in a thread or two in this forum.
Once VEGAn was running I tried to connect to the net but it wouldn’t. I saw no WiFi icon, like in the original software. After looking around for a while, getting frustrated about not being able to connect to the net, I found the icon in ‘setting’ and connected to the net again.
I kept the unit active for a few hours, playing around with it. After about 6 or 6.5 hours the batteries where down to about 8%. It was advertised as having eight to ten hours battery life. I’m not happy with this short fall.
To sum it all up I have three caveat with this unit. The weight, the screen and the short battery life. Still, I’m content with the unit. Couldn’t have done better for this price.
I agree on the screen but the weight doesn't seem to bother me too much and I'm getting awesome battery life on TnT lite 4.4. You may want to let it charge fully and then run it down a couple of times to see of that helps. If those modders can replace the gtab screen fairly easily and it's not too expensive, I might think about making a change too. In the mean time, I just remind myself that I got a really good deal on some decent hardware overall.

I took mine to work today, playing with it off and on over the course of an 8 hour work day, connected to my Evo's hotspot, and I had around 40% when I got home. I guess it all depends on what you're doing with it.
And the screen ... yeah, the angles are horrid, but I've gotten used to it. When it's good, it's really good though -- showed the gf her competition for the first time tonight, and she marveled at how bright and clear the screen was. She didn't even notice the angles until I demoed that aspect for her.
So far, the angles are the only complaint I have left. Can't believe I got this for $300, especially since I was days away from buying a Xoom for twice that.
Another wooter's impression....
My tablet arrived on time, in perfect condition and no dead pixels. My research between buying and getting the tablet, paid off, I CWM ed it and installed TNT Lite 4.4 on it. Was a tossup between Vegan and TNT Lite, chose the latter due to Roebeet's putting in the CWM to stock recovery switching scripts in TNT Lite 4.4. This is just in case Viewsonic releases a stable HoneyComb based ROM in the next few weeks. The performance is better than I expected, battery life is great, and have relatively very few FCs.
It does seem a bit too heavy to hold for extended periods, so ordered a compact stand for it. Regarding the screen, inverting the tablet does seem to get better horizontal screen quality, especially when lying flat on the table, so I am using it a good bit inverted. Softkeys in the wrong position, but can get used to that.
One thing I miss is the notification LED colors, for different mail apps which I have on my phone running Cyanogen Mod 6.0. Also cannot seem to play flash from Dolphin or Firefox (needs plugins??). So am using the stock browser for now. Maybe it is time to look at the app forums
Overall, pretty happy with the unit, thanks to all the help from XDAers.
Got my tablet today too. While I did hit a snag using NvFlash, I was able to resolved it and now running TnT lite 4.4. Hah, love the honeycomb boot screen on this one. LOL.
Anyway, it's no secret the screen sucks, and the one I got also suck. At least it has more "pop" than my xoom. The screen resolution also too small for the size of the tablet. I tried beautiful widget tablet edition, and the things covers the whole screen. Compare that to my xoom, the widget (4x1) only covers about 1/3 of my screen, which is perfect.
I don't mind the weight, especially compare to my xoom, and even to my iPad with cover, the Gtab feels lighter.
I still haven't get the chance to test the battery. I didn't even wait for it to charge fully before doing the rooting/flashing. I just plug in the power cord, and started flashing. Something I'm too afraid to do with the xoom. LOL.
The screen is both good and bad for me. I think my neck might be stiff from looking at the screen. However, I love it that no one but me can see the screen when I'm at work.
The weight is fine. I expected it to be thick as well, and it doesn't really feel that thick.
The battery life is a bit sucky. I might have a slight lemon, but it's still very useable.
I like the UI in tnt, so I'm spending more time in TNT lite.
Having android market is a must:-D
USB port is awesome!
I tried to stick my microsd card from my BB into the slot and it wouldn't take it without reformating, so I'm still without a microsd.
This forum is absolutely the best. Thanks guys!
That's my observation for the week.
rooted and flashed with newest version of TnT yesterday, everything worked perfectly... for about 24 hours. I booted it up this morning and now I was getting a force close message saying "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." This popped up about every 5 secs and the keyboard wouldn't work, most of the Apps wouldn't work, market wouldnt work, and you couldn't access the "settings" to do a factory reset. I did EVERYTHING exactly as I was supposed to for the Root and Rom flash and didn't skip a thing.
Ended up reflashing the Vanilla Rom, reflashing TnT, rebooting a dozen times, trying to wipe the unit, NONE of that fixed it. After spending my entire day searching on how to basically "unbrick" my brand new Gtab, turns out it wasn't anything I did wrong. If you have any unnamed contacts in your contacts list, for some reason the file becomes corrupted while trying to sync. With the file corrupted it causes a FC, and tries again, every few seconds. Link below to how I fixed it.

Mine came this week and my 12 year old called every 15 minutes...
asking when I was coming home.
Day 1 - recharged it...green light went on about 10:30 pm and my 12 year old jumped out a bed and we started playing around with the machine. Got wireless working and messed around for 20 minutes or so and then quit for the night.
Day 2 - I came home from work early and we got out three sets of instructions and cross compared and with a little help from Steve...started the process, mostly following this VEGAN process.
http://www.blendblog.net/Default.aspx?tabid=36&EntryID=67
Worked like a charm! Best thing that I wasn't expecting...it looks just like my DROID phone. Even the market works the same and...to my surprise...all of the software I had purchased on my DROID phone was still listed as PURCHASED on my TAB and cost nothing to install. WHOOHOO!
After a couple hours we decided to clean it off and put on the Skinomi screen protector. Wish I had one to practice with and one to put on for good. :/
Didn't put enough solution on it and it kept sticking and I had to pull it off...finally put some more solution on it, tried to clean off the dried stuff on the screen and reapply...worked like a charm. Didn't keep sticking and I was able to move it into position just like I wanted and then let it dry. Unfortunately, I was a bit impatient thinking I was ruining it and didn't clean the screen the best the second time. I have a couple tiny peices of green lint from my "lint free" cloth under the screen and one little fingerprint smear. Not perfect, but worked great once I knew what I was doing. The screen definitely is a finger print magnet and a screen protector is really necessary.
Got up this morning and my three youngest played games while I got ready and then I stole it back to bring to work.
Next up - figuring how to add swype! Oh yeah, and waiting for my CLIP to arrive!

I've noticed too that the screen looks better upside down. I'll try using it upside down and see how it works. I don't mind the soft keys since I'm not that much used to it yet, what with it being new and me having it only one day.
Got mine Thurs. morning. Played with stock for a few hours, then switched to TnT lite. An already fast machine got faster!
I own a Motorola Droid, which was my introduction to Android and os hacking, and a Pandigital Novel which was my introduction to cheap tablets. This is definitely a fantastic piece of hardware for under 300.
*note: When we say the sucks, please understand that it's bright and sharp- as long as you look at it head-on. Whether or not that will be an issue is a matter of personal preference. It's not a dealbreaker for me and I think the issue is a bit overblown.

I thought I was getting great battery life, until I realized that TNTlite has a bug where the power meter is pegged at 100% no matter how much actual life is in it.
Overall, I'm very happy with it. Any frustratons I'm having are more adjusting to the form factor than anything about this tab specifically.
I agree with the assessments so far. I didn't bother with swype and decided to buy ultra keyboard which works well. Also bought case with USB keyboard and that makes a huge difference when trying to do productive stuff like emails. The biggest surprise for me was that it runs MLB.TV without too much trouble. I think I might be able to use my Evo hotspot and location faker and watch blacked out games. So far I'm really happy and will be selling my nook color on the bay.

If you use ADW Launcher or the paid version of Launcher Pro, you can resize widgets. Both also allow you to change the numbers of rows and columns to give you a larger grid to work with.
Or check out the new tablet-centric launcher that's being developed in the themes and apps subforum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1017451 Looks really good -- I'd use it if I wasn't so addicted to LP's widgets.
You can easily bend this puppy to suit your needs
That's why you fully charge the battery FIRST...I have been using it for 5 hours and still have 60 percent left.

Nice! Thanks for the link. Looks like I'm playing the Gtab for a while. Sorry, kids. LOL.
I don't mind the screen at all in landscape, but the screen is basically unusable for me in portrait because the viewing angles are so narrow that the left eye sees a very different image from the right eye, which create a weird shimmering effect that makes it very uncomfortable to read.
Mine arrived yesterday. I charged it overnight and saw how weak the stock ROM was. After some mistakes and sweating, I got CWM to properly work and installed TnT. Awesome!

Zeam Launcher is free and will also allow you to resize your widgets. I've tried the other launchers, but Zeam seems to be the best for my G-Tab so far.
Wooter here also. Mine arrived on Wednesday so I've been play a lot with it.
I followed this guide and was able to install ClockWorkMod and TNT 4.4.
As said before, I'm not sure why Viewsonic used this screen with horrible viewing angles. The portrait/vertical mode is also bad as the brightness is a little whacked and hurts your eyes looking at it. The only way to view it perfectly is 90 degree and center in landscape/horizontal mode. The front facing camera is also pretty awful, but that's not an important feature to me. It also sucks that the soft key buttons aren't lit up, its hard to see them when in low light.
But the reason I went with this tablet over the iPad is not only because of the price, but adobe flash support. And after installing the Dolphin Browser HD, which took a while to find and install, flash is running well. I don't consider a full web browsing experience is possible unless there's flash support. And this android tablet does it very well.
Overall, I think this is a decent tablet for the price. I hope future android updates will make it even better, like supporting both cores of Tegra2. And hopefully, there will be a lot more tablet apps as many android apps currently don't work well in tablets.
I've had mine for a few days, and after playing around with the stock ROM became convinced it stunk on ice.
I'm a relative noob (have an Epic and a Galaxy Tab, but never rooted either), but went ahead and with the excellent tutorials made a run at it. Yeah, I made mistakes as well, but now CWM and TNT 4.4 are up and running. Wow! Smooth and soooo much faster than the Viewsonic crapware.
Love the size, the brilliance of the screen, and I have found if I prop the thing on a pillow, the angle of view is just fine.
Thanks, XDA devs!
So my Wife needed a new phone, and get out of T-Mobile, and on to a good family plan. Since I was with Sprint already the last year with my EVO 4G, I said get the Nexus-S this weekend, will be a great little phone compared to her old school MyTouch 3G.
So we went to the Sprint store my buddy is a Mngr at, and I got the bug and also picked up a Nexus-S 4G, and set us up on a killer family plan.
- What I like about the Nexus-S;
Lightweight and fits in pocket easily
Screen is beautiful
Battery life is longer than rooted EVO
Pure "vanilla" Google OS, clean with no bloatware
2.3.4 Video Chat for the Wife and kids
- What I don't like;
Miss the "Sense UI"
4" curved screen, makes it feel much smaller than the EVO's 4.3" flat tablet like display.
No Sprint Visual Voicemail
My EVO 4G was rooted with Myn's RS 5, and I LOVED it, but the phone felt a little too thick and bulky at times, and heavy in the pocket, especially with Summer now, the phone does not fit in a short sleeve pocket like the Nexus easily does. And even with netarchy kernel and all battery life still was crappy compared to rooted Nexus-S.
But I seem to really miss the "Sense UI" the most, just a bit of a shock getting used to vanilla Android. I liked the Sense e-mail app, for non gmail accounts. The dialer and contacts was nice. The keyboard was sweet with arrows keys. Stock Visual Voicemail was great.
Not too sure what to do now ? Keep the Nexus-S and wait for CM 7.1 ROM that supports 2.3.4 and see how I like that ? I was a big fan of Cyanogen back on my Nexus-One, but then got turned onto Sense. Or go back to EVO and upgrade to EVO 3D next month and wait for Myn's ROM on that beast ?
i went from an evo to the nexus s and am loving it. i really wanted that pure google and once i got it rooted, some useless apps removed it was even better.
for me, an overall better experience than the evo.
apreichner is in the process of porting sense to the NS, so there is a big chance we'll be seeing a fully functional sense port. Just have patience, the NS is a great phone

I am getting much more comfortable with my Nexus-S 4G today, after a full work day of use. Loving the feel of it in the palm of my hand, rests so nicely, and the screen is gorgeous. The battery life on the Nexus is amazing so far, being unplugged for 6+ hours, and not even half drained yet, at 60% now, and that's with tons of phone calls and plenty of texting as well as web browsing. And still not even rooted yet, so no custom ROM's or kernels, can only imagine the battery life with a good netarchy
The EVO to me is borderline tablet big, not just the 4.3" screen, but was also very thick and heavy. Not a fun phone to carry around in light shorts in the Summer. But sometimes that was nice, making it feel like a mini laptop, with lots of space to work with, and the Sense e-mail and contacts were very well designed.
But the more I am with the Nexus-S, the more I like it. yeah I misses the Sense UI, but getting used to vanilla is nice too Just waiting for CM 7.1 to come out, and then this phone should really be amazing.
Zorachus, I would suggest that you wait another 15 days or so before making a decision to switch back to the EVO if you so choose to.
I believe within that time frame you could either have a working sense port running on your nexus S, OR EVEN perhaps you could try miui when the netarchy kernel for the nexus 4G comes out.
To be honest Miui is just as full of a rom as Sense roms themselves. Lots of nice features and a lovely UI
Thanks for all the advice appreciated I am getting more comfortable with this the Nexus. Everyday.
Main thing I miss with Sense is the default email app blows the stock Android one out of the water. And the dialer on sense was much better too. Its just those two things really.
Battery life is night and day better on this nexus compared to my evo and this phones sots in my hand better and hides in pocket easily.

I just switched to the Nexus S 4G from the Evo. I picked it up last night. I was running CM 7 on the Evo so the switch wasn't that big of a deal. So far, I like the weight, the size (I agree with you on the size thing. I can handle this change) Battery life I'm not sure about but I got somewhere around 25 hours on the EVO, so we'll see how the this one handles.
I like the pure Google experience. I thought the EVO was going to be updated constantly from the manufacture but sadly its now left behind at least for now.
I'd rather have google push out my updates than rely on HTC.
and what about a desire hd? should i get ns over my dhd? really don't know.. =o\\
ok...another day with the Nexus-S, and it is growing on me finally Was having major EVO withdrawal, mainly missing a lot of the "Sense UI" stuff, but now with these new apps installed, am really starting to dig this sexy Nexy.
Here are several apps I needed to install to get rid of the lame stock ones.
- #1 was "Better Keyboard 8", a much improved keypad for texting, e-mails, etc...larger buttons, smarter layout of keys, and all black themed.
- #2 was "Go SMS", hands down the best text app, and with a cool black theme, blows away the boring stock Messaging, very customizable.
- #3 was "YouMail" Makes it just like the stock Sprint Visual Voicemail on my EVO.
- #4 was "Opera Mini" web browser, night and day faster than the stock internet, very smooth and no lagging.
- #5 was "On Call End" when done with a phone call, bring you back to home screen, instead of dialer.
- #6 was "TouchPal Dialer " shows the recent calls on top with keypad below, shows how long ago the call was made or missed, more like the "Sense UI" dialer.
- #7 was "Beautiful Widgets" a must have for the coolest clock/weather screen.
And several other apps, but these seven above were must haves, and make my Nexus-S much improved, and closer to the "Sense UI" stuff I missed from my EVO, and a lot of these apps have option for black theme which I really like on this phone.
But still the one MISSING app I can not find anywhere is a good default e-mail client for the non @gmail accounts. The default Sense UI e-mail on the EVO was ****ing spot on perfect, wish there was something in the Market to match that ?
K-9 mail?

waiting for your good news!

It's 19th on this side of the world. Guess we'll have to wait till they get some sun on their side.
Oh! the excitement is killing me.
im dying to see this phone and what its really capable of and get some reviews... regardless tho im still buying 1 on june 8th
SO its 9:02 at London, UK :O I am very interested in any information available ^_^
I am waiting for the first review/unboxing videos. I'd like to see a close up of the box to see the specifications on the device as shipped. If it supports the correct frequencies out of the box, I might import one from the UK instead of buying the Sensation 4G in the hopes of being able to continue using my t-zones data plan on T-mobile US.

Same here :O
france, sfr vodaphone not yet
still waiting to own one................ oooooooooh man where's our sensation. too hard to wait.
I work in a Vodafone store, so I got to have a ten minute play with a Sensation this afternoon. It kills me to say it, because I was hoping to upgrade to one from a Desire, but I wasn't impressed.
Most notably, the screen is nowhere near the standard of the Galaxy SII. By comparison it appears a little dull. This, however, isn't hugely important to me. I'm far more interested in how the phone actually performs...
There's no doubt it's an impressive phone, but there was something jarring about the way the phone runs. It's not smooth, there's too much judder, it felt unpolished and it lacked the intuitive WOW! you felt the first time you handled a Desire. I don't know how to phrase it, but it just didn't feel snappy to the touch the way the Desire does.
First I noticed was when I entered the wallpaper gallery and began to cycle through the pre-loaded ones. It only displays thumbnails for the four that are initially in view (they're stacked and they rotate round) - go past those and you're left with a loading image for 2-4 seconds whilst it generates the thumbnails. Scroll back to the first four, it does the same thing again, even though it had already loaded those previews once. Exactly the same in the gallery. Plus, they whiz round so quickly that it's very irritating trying to pinpoint one.
The keyboard lacks the punch I've come to expect from the HTC range. Both the vibration and visual feedback (popups) seem out of kilter with what you're typing. I couldn't take my eyes off it and type blindly like I can with all the other HTC Android phones.
Bring up your apps home, there's no smooth slide like on the Desire. It leaps up in three noticeably juddery steps. Cycling round the homescreens, the animation isn't smooth. This could just be a case of getting used to the size of the thing though.
Went to the skins section - the ones loaded on the Desire HD and Desire S (the brushed metal etc) are missing. Odd. Maybe they're obtainable from the HTC Hub? The ones currently there are, strangely, the same one with different wallpapers.
OK, I know these things are petty and probably not much of a concern to users here. I didn't have a good chance to really get to grips with the phone and explore, and it's possible that some of the lag could be alleviated by playing with settings. It's just that it was so noticeable that it grated on me and stopped me enjoying exploring the phone for the first time.
The new lock screen is very impressive though. But I think, overall, I'll be holding off to see if my experiences are echoed by early adopters and the professional reviewers.
Was it the first time you started it up? Were there a lot of widgets and apps refreshing? I cant imagine that its that slow!
For 400 buck I ain't complaining

Well that doesn't bode well. The thumbnail generation has always sucked on android but that sounds above and beyond sucky. Keyboard doesnt worry me because lets face it there are alternatives out the wingwang nowdays. The apps home thing is worrying but none of the other demos I saw have displayed this kind of judder. Was it possible you were syncing just a ****load of contacts etc from your gmail?
Probably the first time start up also 10 minutes is no where good enough. For an initial impression. The phone goes through a processes first usually. I hope your talking about a desire s cause you would think the original desire will be slower.

Well, the first five minutes were a play without a SIM card inserted. Make of that what you will. After the store demo SIM was put in, performance didn't change. The thumbnail generation issue was the most noticeable flaw - just because the gallery is set up in such a way that you expect to be able to scroll smoothly through the images, but that just didn't happen.
Maybe it didn't come across in my original post, but I must emphasise, I came at this phone from the viewpoint of wanting to upgrade from my original Desire. I previously owned an HTC Hero, and when I first laid hands on a Desire, I was instantly wowed by the difference in terms of the overall slickness of the UI - bear in mind, the UI didn't look hugely different from the Hero to the Desire. I didn't get the same feeling of 'I must have this phone NOW!' with the Sensation. That's not to say that it doesn't do everything we've come to expect very well. It's just that my initial impressions were hampered by, what I felt to be, lack of polish.
Also, when entering the camera, there was a noticeable distortion of the image. A kind of white haze moving quickly across the screen in vertical bars. I don't know whether this is a screen issue, a camera issue, or something to be expected though.
Of course, it is possible that it was a duff unit. I have come across Desires, and all other models of phone for that matter, in my time at Vodafone that just don't perform properly.
*perhaps distortion is the wrong word. It's just more of a subtle 'interference' with the picture that I haven't noticed before on HTC cameras.

Wow ok none of that sounds right. I know the camera was something they were really trumpeting as a selling point and it was demoed many times for lots of different people. I sure don't remember a white haze and distortion.
Grab another unit eh
PS: Thanks for the info

I will be having a much closer play with it over the next few days to see if I warm to it. The camera thing, I did only look once and I know from owning a Desire, that sometimes I open the camera, it behaves strangely, so I exit and go back, fixed. I'll check it out further
i have been hovering around the threads all day and i must say the 2 different reviews have me confused and then i had my cousin go to check out a demo version and they were none available so hmm... i really need a video review
Hi Guys and Girls,
I'm a store manager at a Phones 4u store in Woolwich, London. Just to let you know that the HTC Sensation will be released tomorrow (20/05/2011) I will have limited stock availability tomorrow.
This will be available on a 24 month contract on Vodafone only at £35 per month and on 18 months at £45 per month, again only on Vodafone. There may be other tariffs but I will not know until tomorrow.
If anyone is local and is desperate to get your hands on this device please contact the store on 0208 316 2638.
Unfortunately as much as I am a huge fan of XDA Developers and love the support from everyone that posts I am unable to offer any special discount.
The only thing I will do is give a free case (An official HTC one worth £19.99) with your phone if you mention that you got this message from XDA Developers.
Thanks,
I'm not trying to post ads here but I'm sure there are people who are just as excited as I am to get this phone so I thought I'd give all you a heads up
received my atrix 2 yesterday afternoon, and i thought i'd share my thoughts/experiences with it so far.
first impression was that it was a nice looking phone, a little big for my taste, but manageable. screen is beautiful, however, the size makes one handed navigating difficult. if i try to use one hand-thumb, i have to shuffle the phone up and down in my palm. i constantly feel like i am going to drop this thing.
software wise, i'm not very impressed. i read that the atrix 2 was as close to vanilla as motorola has gotten, but, wow, it's nothing like a vanilla GB rom. i had a lot of email whoes, but finally finding where moto has hidden all the settings seems to have fixed my problems. not to mention i never would have thought that messaging would contain the email apps. this rom is also the heaviest i have ever seen, weighing in at almost 400mb. the blur aspect adds a ton of services, the moto gallery reminds me of sony's mediascape.
other than some of the moto apps, i like the UI. the launcher is unbelievably similar to the new ice cream sandwich launcher (grid pattern pop up, horizontally paginated app drawer with market link, calendar widget is the same as ICS's). the email and contact apps also have a lot of similar framework as ICS's.
i do not like the stock ringtones and notifications, but this is easily remedied.
camera is great, on par with most other devices.
sound quality has been good, however, i can hear myself on the ear piece, which i do not like. signal has been good. i get 3.5 down and about 1 up vs 2 down and 1 up i get on my nexus s.
had motorola gone with a more tradition email app and did not molest the settings and left some of the blur options out, this phone would be the best i've used so far. i can't really draw an honest opinion yet though since it has been less than 24 hours. haven't really had enough time for things to either really impress me, or really annoy me, lol.
i am however, pulling the rom apart. should have a custom rom to flash by the time cwm is working fully. looking at stripping the blur stuff out, going with a more vanilla rom.
I too am not a fan of the Blur items, but I must say, with my experience with previous Moto Roms, this is the least Blurred Moto Rom I've used. Most of the blur items are just apps and you can easily use alternatives and freeze (or remove) the old. The setting are shuffled a little but I think they are still close to stock. The email app is not the best, so I simply don't use it. As for the size, a lot of that is the Webtop, it's not the Blur bloat. IMHO this Rom is more stock than most other manufacturers stock Roms.
Thanks in advance for your work on the Rom, we all look forward to seeing some dev goodness on the awesome device.
I agree. the least blurred phone ive used.
A stripped rom would be nice though.
I'd be more than happy to test it out and give feedback, count me in!
It's the least Blurred because it's NOT a Blur phone.
Although it does have a few of blurs features and adjustments...

It was only 18 hours.
However, to add yo my original post....
The display is great. Large, bright and extremely clear.
The physical design is good my only complaints are the usb on the side, which makes using while plugged in difficult and the sheer size, which the size is due to the screen size, so i let that pass. The screen is extremely smooth and pleasant to glide around on. The rubbery back is different to say the least, but offers a comfortable grip with a soft touch.
Battery has been decent so far for me. I have a lot of signal dead spots at work, these severely hinder my battery performance, but i still get more time off charger over my other devices.
Camera is still not as good as i would prefer. So I'm waiting on the update to see how they improve the camera.

I hope they do put up an update to improve the camera. The thing is, the Bionic and Razr seem to also share the same exact camera, with the same probs. Maybe once the Razr gets released for a bit they will push an update and it will trickle down to the Atrix 2, if they bothered to that is.

Many, myself included, are experiencing a noticeable cam performance using Camera Zoom FX
