Any suggestions? I tried the Market app but it won't work. Thanks!
Have you tried checking getprop for ril.MSL manually or using EPST and checking the logcat output?
I'm running CM7 and I don't know if this method will work for all roms or if you aren't rooted but here's how I found mine:
Download alogcat app from Market and open it. Press menu>filter and type msl in the filter.
Go to your dialer and enter *#*#DATA#*#* then when the menu comes up choose Edit.
When it asks for your msl, enter 6 random numbers and you will get a message that the code was incorrect.
Long press home and choose alogcat app. In the data, it shows what your msl is.

Yes. Do this. It worked for me. You don't even need EPST.
1. Plug your phone into your computer.
2. Open a command line (assuming you have installed the sdk and all that good stuff.)
3. Type
adb shell getprop
and adb will spit out a long list of information. Look through it for
ril.msl 123456
Of course yours won't say 123456 -it will have your 6 digit msl.
Or...
You should be able to download
Terminal Emulator for free from the market.
Open it.
Type in...
su
Hit enter. Type in...
getprop
Should do the same. I will test and see and report back.
Yep. This is definitely the easiest way. Just did it.

Just tried it, super simple. Just follow the above's instructions and look for ril.msl
I just use connectbot from the market.
open it and select local from the drop down menu in the bottom left and type whatever into the nickname field. I usually type pigpoptart.
then type su and hit enter
then type getprop ril.MSL and hit enter
your msl should be the 6 digit number underneath
make sure you capitalize the MSL part

We'll get right on it. NOT
You can do it for free. Run alogcat then type a dialer code that will require msl purposely type in the wrong msl. Then search the logcat for msl and you will find it.

Dis is a pretty simple process. Juss follow the instructions below.
Flash a sense rom. I used the ruu but its up to you which rom you use, just make sure its a SENSE one! And do a nandroid before you flash the sense you rom!!
download aLogcat from the market and run it once
exit it and then go to the dialer and type ##3282#
a popup should come up with 3 options
push view mode
now press and hold the home key and select aLogcat
Push menu and select filter
enter "msl" and push okay
Your 6 digit msl code will be there

Or just download MSL Reader from the Market for your rooted phone. Thanks for the info though!

That's what I was thinking. If you're already online, it's pretty much useless. If you're not online, activate your phone and Sprint's website will give it to you

Can someone confirm that ##3282# is the correct code to get into the phone internal setup? Not working on my Hero. Works on my wife's EVO Shift though.

Dialer codes like the one above only work with the device's default software. You'll have to revert to use them.

I spent hours trying to get my MSL. None of the methods I found really worked on the Motorola Triumph.
Eventually, I found my own method and it's way easier than any other method I've seen.
Download and install aLogcat (free) from the Android Market.
Run aLogcat and set it to filter for "sec_code"
Go to your Phone apk and dial ##33284#
When prompted for the MSL, type 000000.
Now, go to aLogcat. And it should have found a "sec_code:" line with your MSL code at the end of it. It's 6 digits.
Hope that helps.

ok, so by following this steps on topic :
- Install the app Nexus 5 Field Test mode
- Make sure you have the phone rooted
- Enable usb debugging
- Now you need to obtain your SPC code. For doing it open Nexus 5 Field Test Mode App, got to settings (view), then LTE, and click on edit. At the same time use logcat to get the SPC code
you should use it on "adb " and you will get the spc code
im in adb and when i type in fastboot oem get_identifier_token instead of getting the token, i get "waiting for any device". i followed the htc intructions and this is my result.
i downloaded the files from the htc dev page, and im using minimal adb and tools program. Ive always had success with unlocking previous phones, not sure what im doing wrong here or if im missing something.
you need drivers, what windows version you are on.

Windows 10
Easiest way would probably be to install HTC Sync Manager, after installed uninstall HTC SYNC. There is no need to know what version of windows you have. Minimal ADB & Fastboot up to date?
yeah, installed the latest last night. ill try your suggestion
also when in Download Mode connect phone and type fastboot devices. If your serial number shows up, you are good to go.

The serial number never showed up when I did that. However, after I opened htc sync manager, I was prompted to update it. So I followed thru with the update, opened the manager then proceeded with adb and I got the code. Only, I couldn't copy and cut the code out of the adb window I could highlight it but the copy or cut functions wouldn't work after highlighting the area and there was no way to highlight only the code. It wanted to highlight "bootloader" in front of each line. I don't have time to play around again until tonight but I might just try and type the code in by hand.

yes you have to delete all the extra spaces that you copy, a pain in the ass. or you could open the ADB & fastboot folder in Powershell.

Ok so after watching a YouTube video unlocking the HTC 10, I saw how to edit out the extras. Well, I did that after pasting it all in there and I get an error saying the token length is too long.
Ugh
So there's the possibility of having a space in front of each line as you delete the bootloader text. Even though the lines are stacked above one another those imaginary spaces have to be gone.
Success Finally!!

great! i was going to say at the end as well for all the extra spaces.
Just paste it to notepad first and it makes it so much simpler to format.

If you right click on the command window border, then go to properties and uncheck the box that says something like "enable text wrapping" It will allow you to only highlight the code you need to copy.

Hi! is there a way to do a rebbot on Head Unit Android 9 (PX6) ?
I know only the method pushing the small pinhole on the radio.
Maybe there is another way via interface in the settings?
thanks
I'd like to know too... without root (root is easy).
At the moment I use a terminal app and type 'reboot' but I'd like an easier method.

Just enter hctreboot in password for factory settings.

Slow down; not suggesting a terminal app at all, read the wiki - factory password codes for various utility commands, you might pick up a few other things than might then enable helping others, rather than a quick answer to get what you want and exit.
