Hello everyone, I hope this is the right place for my post. I have T-Mobile HTC HD2, and I just flashed NAND Qaliza Desire Android 2.2. Everything went fine throughout installation. However, I am facing an issue when connecting to WiFi.
Turning on WiFi will show networks around, however, when I press connect, and after I enter the pass key nothing happened ... or just a busy dialogue that it is connecting but it never show WiFi icon on the top .... no web access.
What could this be?
Thanks.
I flashed different radio from 2.15.50 to 2.14.50; and it did not fix the problem!
Could it be the recovery partition size?
I got my answer; it is my Belkin router - I could not get it to connect my android. Other Wifi(s) work just fine.
Now, I am working to get around this, hopefully!

Hi guys, now something odd is going on with my MDA Compact IV (aka Touch Diamond). With the original T-Mobile ROM I could connect to Wi-Fi fine. When I upgraded to Dutty 2.6 ROM I could still connect fine but after a couple of weeks it stopped connecting for no reason I could see. When I mean it stopped connecting, basically, when I click the "Turn on Wi-Fi" option, the little spinny ball pops up to show you its trying to do something but then nothing - it stays unticked and there is NO error message. I have tried setting power mode to best performance and changing the wifi to connecting between "The Internet" and "Work" - the two options available (I think it used to work on the default Work settings) - but it still doesn't work. I just upgraded to Dutty 2.9 and it does exactly the same thing - no error message so I am not sure how I am supposed to diagnose the problem!
Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi,
I'm having the same issue with the same device.
I already reverted back to stock spl/rom/radio but the problem still remains in every rom i try.
The only solution is to get out the battery for at least 10 minutes and try again.
It should work until it stops again.
Thanks for the message, I just managed to fix it on mine about 5 minutes ago. In the end, I cleared my internal storage and hard reset it and it finally worked. That is after trying various ROMS/Radios. Lets see how long it lasts....
Hi,
I'm having the same issue now... It just started yesterday - And I have no clue - except, that I recently have used the device connecting my laptop using internet sharing...
Any clue someone? don't want to hard-reset...
Thanks!! J
Hi folks,
I got a problem with my LG x2 / P990 / Optimus Speed.
I was unsatisfied with the CM7 nightlys so I wanted to get the original ROM back no my device. I did it via smartflash and it worked pretty well, but the most important function isn't really working. Wi-fi.
So, when I acticate wi-fi and connect to my router, entering the password, everything works fine. The Wi-fi symbol is showing up on the status bar and its completely blue.
But now, when I stard the browser and enter a website, its loading and loading and nothing happens. Same with the android market etc.
I dont think its a problem with my router, cause before I flashed the phone and had CM7 on it, everything was alright, but right after the flash it didnt't worked anymore.
Sorry for my bad english skills, im from germany.
I hope someone out there could help me, I'm stuck with this problem since yesterday.
Thank you!
Thanks, problem solved, just had to restart my router.
Hi,
I need help installing the htc mango driver v3 because with the current version i cant connect to my home wlan network which is built on a ddwrt router, before i installed the update everything was working fine, i also tried it my gf's IPhone and with it i can connect without a problem. I cooked my own custom rom firmware but i really dont know how to put the new htc driver in it.
I saw that the htc mango driver v3 is avialable for Htc Hd7..
Config: WPA2 encryption, mac filter disabled, dhcp
tried: DFT rom, Ansar Rom and the one which i created myself
Phone: HTC Trophy with custom rom
I hope someone can help me (((
I was having the same issue so I am looking into it now.
Hi i tried to flash a custom rom and after installing a wifi hack i was a able to set the ip. I also found this solution if you already have a developer unlocked phone:

You can do that via the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\<YourAdapter>\Parms\TcpIp]
"EnableDHCP"=dword:0
"DefaultGateway"="192.168.1.1"
"UseZeroBroadcast"=dword:0
"IpAddress"="192.168.1.100"
"Subnetmask"="255.255.255.0"
4 example, <YourAdapter> for Samsung Focus is BCMSDDHD1
Of course, the "DefaultGateway" and "IpAddress" should fit your router settings (some routers configured to use 192.168.0.x subnet)

Hi there,
I have tried to figure out a solution for this problem for over a week, just today I thought I might fix it by installing the latest NextGen+ rom after taking pains to downgrade the spl.
But still no wifi... it seaches then shows "no networks found"...
My wildfire s.. picks up many. I have no MAC filtering, using DHCP and on channel 7.... tried everything.
I read someone called "thesmack" saying he fixed a similar issue by getting a "V3 Driver" update by HTC from XDA but I cant find it, and he didnt share any links.
Please if anyone knows the solution to this problem help me out, by having no wifi the phone is worth little.
I suggest you turn of wifi and then turn on bluetooth. reboot phone and turn on wifi. I had the same problem. but now is ok

Unfortunatly that didnt work. I flashed an old radio (nodo) to see if it would work, still nothing. But funnily this morning when I switched on the phone it showed the small "networks available" icon, yet when I went into wifi... it refused to let me see the page, then after a while of trying it came up and didnt detect anything.
This is SOME bug that its taken so long, with giants like MS and HTC unable to resolve it.
I own a HTC One S with stock vodafone (gb) rom, rooted, ICS 4.0.3, Touch 4.0. As I see a lot of people have similar issues as mine, however, I wasn't able to find a working solution. So the problem is that the phone stopped being able to connect to wifi networks - no matter if secured or free. I tried to change the settings from dhcp to static, stll nothing. It goes through connecting>obtaining ip address>authenticating>saved,secure... in whatever order, and the cycle repeats over and over... Sometimes bars appear, blink and disappear again. I had no wifi problems until last night, when I went to a place with free wifi, and for the first time I could not connect to it. After that the issue continued at home. Restarting the router/phone don't work. Has anybody found a working solution?

Not a good solution but you could try a factory reset if nothing else works.

I rebooted the phone a few times (waiting 6 mins when off) without fastboot on and on the third time it started working. I hope this doesn't happen again... As I searched through the forums I saw a lot of people having similar issues mainly with dhcp.. hope there's a fix for that...
Problem appeared again... This time reboot isn't solving anything. When I put it on static IP it connects to the network and disconnects over and over again. This s*** is driving me crazy...
are you running a custom kernel?
No. It's stock. Recovery is CWM, phone is rooted via this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577831
it could be the boot.img causing your issue. i rooted via this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427 and have never had a problem with wifi unless i had flashed a custom kernel
Well.. I don't know, because I haven't flashed a custom ROM.. Just rooted the stock one... Btw it started working again after like 10 reboots with no fastboot on, but experience tells me that it'll go crazy again...
you could also try flashing a custom rom, it might fix the issue
Hey guys,
I have this annoying problem where my WiFi isn't working the way it should. It's especially annoying when I'm watching YouTube videos. The internet connection just stops at one point without the WiFi logo indicating it. It just doesn't load anything for some time. After a couple of seconds it works again for several minutes.
In YouTube videos the problem is that the video stops loading and doesn't continue loading again when the connection is back.
I didn't have the problem on stock ROM. After I S-OFF'd my device, unbranded it and flash PA the problem came up.
Now I'm on Bruce's ROM and still the same issue.
Another problem I'm having is the selection of mobile networks. I live on the border to Switzerland so the signal of switzern operators is sometimes better than the German ones so the device automatically switches the operator. The thing is that when I want to set the operator manually I get an error saying "Error while searching for networks" and I haven't had this issue on stock ROM.

I'll make a video today demonstrating the problem. I hope someone can help me then.

WiFi problem seems to be fixed. I flashed the new update of bruce's ROM from the 5.11 and it's working again. But the operator issue is still present. http://youtu.be/OJxXcDSLgXM
