Esurance Android app!!

I have been with Esurance for a long time, I was just thinking the other day how nice it would be to have an app. I just received an email from Esurance that they now have an android app!!

Yeah it's not bad, I've been running it over a month now. I dunno why the email sent today acted like it just debuted today? I suggest people give them a shot for a quote. My wife and I have been with them for about 6-7 years. Best rates I have ever had and with a daughter about ready to drive, I'm crying over what the rates will go to! Lol

I had Esurance for a while, rates were great when I just needed liability. When I bought a new car and needed to add comprehensive and collision, the rates they wanted to charge me were absolutely insane. They told me it was because my car (Hyundai Tiburon) is expensive to repair. I now have Progressive and pay half of what Esurance wanted to charge me.

Yeah insurance rates can vary widely among carriers. I was an Ins Broker at one time and the difference between one company to the next could be crazy. Gotta go for what fits your budget, but also be aware of the service you receive.

Got mine at Target yesterday !

They are on sale as of today. Verizon is authorizing the stores to sell them today instead of waiting. I won't be able to get out until tomorrow.

I just came back from my local Verizon store...they had them in back and had to check their email to see if they could even demo the phone...
Nice and bright screen, that's for sure. It took about 4 minutes before it would sign on to 4G, but when it did, everything really flew!
I wish the $300 smackers didn't put me off...I think I'll wait a bit and see if Costco has a great deal in the near future. In the meantime, I guess it wouldn't hurt to wait until after Sunday when the AT&T HTC Infuse releases so I have another data point to compare...though in my area AT&T 4G stinks and VZ 4G rocks!

HTC Watch

Hey S4G owners
I've had my phone for 2 weeks and I absolutely love it.. I'd downloaded 4 movies from watch, the first 2 played fined until it got towards the end when it said "buffering" and the movie ended. Restarted the movie again and the same thing. I downloaded another movie last night and the first 4 minutes posted and then it said"buffering" again. Is any one having problems with their HTC WATCH?

Not sure. Does HTC Watch have free movies?

No, the lowest is $8.99 & the highest is $14.99. You can also rent some movies too

yeah, i use netflix quite often too. but is that 4.99 to rent or to buy?
well, still i wouldn't use watch but just curious

Same exact thing here two, I just bought a movie over the weekend and it got to the end and said buffering. So I deleted the downloaded copy then downloaded it again and still got the buffering just at a different location.

Is this app legal how it gets the movies? Its just I don't want to be buying it only for it to get shut down and Android don't exactly check apps to see if they are legit. Only want to be sure. It sounds too good to true at that price but if its legit I'm having it

I had the same issue (watching true grit) and it wouldn't let me fast forward to the spot where I had the buffering issue. I learned buy lesson it is a rip off.

I had a similar problem with the first movie I downloaded. It got corrupted somehow (probably during download). I deleted and re-downloaded and it was fine.
I always leave HTC Watch in the foreground and let it download without interruption, as I think the problem may be related to pausing and resuming a download.
On another note, do you find the image very dark in HTC Watch, especially in dark scenes and on black faces? I actually have to angle the screen to artificially increase the brightness, taking advantage of the poor viewing angles! I opened a support ticket with HTC yesterday, but I'm curious if the problem is widespread.

exactly. "to me" this is a wasted feature. i always load up in what i want to see and keep moving.

Anything I should know about this phone?

I might buy this phone tomorrow, ive looked at some reviews most of em say the same thing and it seems like a good phone. Hopefully MIUI will get ported, But I want to hear from you guys is there anything I should worry with this phone? It isnt gonna crap out on me like my HD2 is starting too. Any other stuff would be nice too.

this phone is too good,
honestly ive had no serious problems besides a little screen bleeding on the top corner. no resets, no shut down. i love it.
Miui is coming around next week too, a beta is out!

I went to buy the phone today and they didnt have any in stock :S

Great phone I love mine. Hope your local store gets it back in stock soon. It's worth the waait.

Aside from your standard checking of new electronics (malfunctioning anything really, eg. dead pixels...), no worries. I love my G2X .

The G2x is faster than the sensation and the evo 3d hands down. I sell mobile phones for a living and when I get a potential customer I whip my phone out, connect it to the instore 55' HDTV and fire up either angry birds, YouTube or The 40 year old virgin. SOLD.

if you are trying to buy any cell phones i would recommend looking at newegg before you purchase it. i got mine for $99 and free activation because they matched a newegg offer. unfortunately now it is $179.99 + free activation.

At&t system is down

I went to the store today to get a new phone but their computers are down. Anyone else have this going on today?

It's down here in Arizona as well. They took my info and are holding one for me...very irritating. Horrible launch by AT&T standards.

same here i went to the att store in glendale ca and they said all systems are down so i called a few more stores and they also confirmed systems are down so i went to order online and it too is down o'well i guess i stick with my ip5.

Down is So Cal as well..
I returned a HTC One for the S4 and they did it manually for me..

No kidding, I planned my day around this as I live 45 minutes away from my closest store. Figured I'd pick up the phone have lunch and watch a movie....this was starting at 10am.
I know it's a computer thing not a local employee's fault, but I will be asking for a free accessory or a discount as this whole launch was a horribly executed from start to finish.

I am willing to bet AT&T's response would be "soon". That seems to be their response on all issues these days. Well, honestly I didn't answer your question but AT&T is really starting to pi*s me off at this point. And maybe it's a bit of the conspiracy theorists coming out of me, but I find it odd that AT&T suffers such a large computer failure on the day of a launch that they have pretty much screwed up all of the way to this point. Something just doesn't smell right here.

well the AT&T chat rep didn't know what I was talking about, so I gave her the link to this thread. She read it and found it interesting and sent it up but asked me to call the customer svc number which I didn't bother calling. (after hrs anyway).

I hung around all day, went out for lunch, went to a movie, went shopping, had dinner, but by 6:45pm their systems were still down. Keep in mind I had a10am store appointment. How could this launch be any worse?!?!

same thing happened to me in socal. no upgrades available because of some system-wide error. so pissed. i hope it is ready tomorrow...

I went in around 12, and they told me the systems were down. Went to Target, and they said the phone was ready to buy, so I agreed. The man came after 15 minutes and said the systems were down. After calling all day, they said hopefully by the morning they would have it ready. I asked them why the system was down, and they said it had to do with the East Coast launch, and mentioned that it, "messed the systems up." AT&T really needs to get their **** together.

Well, it couldn't have been anything too high up the chain. I manage an at&t authorized retailer and we experienced no issues whatsoever at any of our 10 stores. If the switch was backed up, that would have affected all channels' activations. You guys should check out your local dealers if they're still having issues tomorrow.
