Do you have a PC? You could use IPshield or similar to give the impression you are in another country. Or a paid for VPN service (I use UKiVPN & recommend it. It's fast, cheap & reliable). Once you can access Market on PC you can transfer aps to device. Good luck!

I mean no disrespect, but I wish people on these forums would stop being so cryptic with their "I know something you don't know mentality" & assuming everybody else is as clever as them. That's why forums get bloated with crap & make it hard work to find what you're looking for.
Just get to the point. No more half-answers please!

Vogie,
I'm not sure on the exact method to connect PC to your device but I guess it's similar to mine... I just connect USB cable and select PC data mode on Galaxy Tab. The SD card and internal storage are then visible as external disks on PC. You can copy any downloaded APK files (google is your friend) onto your sd card this way, or just plug your sd card into your PC. Once you have the APK file for the app you need install them. There are many app installer aps available for this but I guess your problem is you are not able to download one from the market in the first place!! Catch 22... Maybe best to do as the other posters have suggested and visit one of the alternative markets (google your friend) on your device.

Rom Manager and it's permissions

Why does rom manager need access to your Goole account. What does it do with it.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
From the app description:
Why does ROM Manager ask for account permissions?
Web Connect only needs to access your Google account to connect it to your google account. It can't any private data or passwords.

Not to sound mean but I can read. I have already read that. That is why I was asking it on here. I was looking for a reason to why it needs to connect to your google account. What is it using it for?
No worries about sounding sarcastic. I'm perfectly fine dishing out or taking the snark
Basically, it's because the Web Connect feature in ROM Manager allows you to link ROM Manager to your Google account. This way you can click on a link on a forum and have it automatically download to your phone, much in the way the web browser app market does.
From the ROM Manager dev site:
Some people really prefer to browse a forum and learn about a ROM before downloading it. And some developers don't want to go through the trouble of maintaining a ROM Manifest.
What if you could click a link on a forum, in your computer's browser, and it started downloading the ROM... on your phone? Introducing ROM Manager's latest and greatest Premium feature: Web Connect.

[Q] How to repurchase a app?

So I guess this is the right section, correct me if i am wrong.
I've installed a craked version of Beautiful Widgets (shame on me) so I could try it for some time. Now I want to buy the application and I cant! Somehow the android market thinks i've purchased the app.
Does any one know a way to fix that?
Tks
Have you tried uninstalling the cracked version first? That should in theory let you buy it. If you already did that then I have no idea lol.

I've flashed the new GB, so the app is not at my phone anymore /=
Try clearing data for the market. Go to settings > applications > manage applications, then select the "all" tab. Scroll down until you find the market app and select it. Select the "clear data" button. If that doesn't clear the cache - it should - clear that as well. Then open the market and search for Beautiful Widgets. Hopefully you'll be able to purchase it before it repopulates your list of apps.
I've noticed this with apps that I got for free from Amazon. If you cannot get that to work, wait until there's an update to BW. Once you see the "update" button and select it, you'll be given an option to buy it. I thought that somehow the Market integrated with Amazon (yeah right), but unfortunately not.
I think pirating apps is sleazy, especially considering that they're usually only $1-$3 and a one-time purchase. But thank you for actually purchasing the app after pirating it.

I´ve already tryed to clear the market data and no succes =/ Guess I will have to wait for the next update from Level Up.
I agree with you plainjane, the apps price are VERY reasonable, but I like to try the apps for some time before buying them and the new market refound system makes impossible to try the app for some time.
Any other suggestions?
Have you tried purchasing it from a computer? Go to the market website and try there. If you're able to purchase it there, the download should automatically start on your device if you're connected to the Internet.
Alternatively, you can reinstall the app and uninstall it from the market. You should then have the option to purchase it.
If you can't get anything to work, you can always contact Market support.

If you think you still have remains on your phone from the cracked version you can try the app in my signature "sd maid" to remove those remains.

Sadlly no. The web market (market.google) has a database for the purchased apps. So if you install a cracked version of an App google put a purchased flag on the database. But i think that the old market does not use this database that is why i was abble to buy the app using the old market.
When i say the old market i mean that one that came with the 2.2, with a green half circle on top.

thx for helping out, but problem not solved!
i have tried the following:
* update from cracked app
* uninstalled cracked app and then install from market
* uninstalled cracked app, installed demo version from market and then tried to upgrade to full version
all of these attempts failed!
it just says in the market that the app is purchased and when i try to install it (or update it), it says something like "download declined because app is not purchased"!
i guess a full wipe would be a solution, but i´d rather not do that, right now!
Full wipe won't help...at least it didn't in my case. I have done a few full wipes and even switched between android versions and still get to "download and install" before it tells me app is not purchased but there is no purchase option in market, only install...

I've asked the mods to move that to general as it's not phone specific. I've also added a method of doing it from the address bar, so you don't have to either use Chrome or figure out how to do the same in your browser of choice.

cant get to work
ive tried it and all i get is t-mobile stuff still. I'm running arhd 2.2.1 which is based on the leaked ics build i believe. I've changed it through the app to different providers and it doesn't do much.
this app looks almost exactly like this one: Market Enabler. From what I saw, the only difference was the icon. It has the exact same markets to choose from.
This is their webpage: Market Enabler webpage. It's minimal, and pretty bare bones.
Other useful information:
Wiki Mobile Network Codes. This gives a list of codes for carriers world wide which can be used in the "set custom"
If this is the same app, then key information to know:
Market Enabler said:
Do I need to donate to get this working?
No, definitly not.
A donate is an appriciation to the developer/s but it's not the same as buying a software.
In case of MarketEnabler, a donate will get you a donate key that removes ads from the application and adds some beta functions that are still in testing.
I donated trough PayPal but haven't received the donate key
Please look into your SPAM folder as it is an automated script that sends you the key.
If you don't get an answer after 24 hours, please email me at [email protected].
I only get "we have a problem houston "
Are you sure that you have a working su binary and busybox (or at least the killall command) installed and granted root rights to MarketEnabler when it got requested?
Preconditions
#1 root
To be able to change the systems runtime configuration (what MarketEnabler does) you will need access as a root user to the system.
MarketEnabler expects that you will have a file called "su" on your system (and in the global path) that will open a root shell.
#2 busybox
The commands that are used, are not always part of the Android system.
Most rooted phones have busybox on board as it's common to install it during the rooting process or included in most custom roms.
If you don't have busybox, I recommend using the busybox installer from stericson on the market.

Make sure you kill Google Play Store from "Manage Apps > All" first.
Alternatively, you can do it manually:
1. Kill Google Play Store from "Manage Apps > All".
2. Go to MarketEnabler, under "Set custom" tab, input that specific country market code you wanted to visit.
3. Select "Set to this values".
4. Go to Google Play Store.

I can see how it can come across as spam as I have 0 post history but it isn't - it actually works. Give it ago, nothing to lose.
This is the best tool of its kind and it really works. Thanks OP for this wonderful thing. Even there is a binary for windows on the website.
This looks rather interesting.
However, as you point out in your own website "you shouldn’t trust random binaries on the Internet and thus the C# source code is available if you wish to build it your self", it would be great to know how this works.
The C# app is just a wrapper for your web app. It doesn't show how it's done, so it doesn't allay any fears other than running the windows app. You still don't know anything about the apk that's downloaded.
Great idea though.
Exactly.
However I've downloaded a few small files and they match with the ones I already had.
I won't share how it's done but the APK is directly downloaded from the Play Store as if you were browsing it your self. Feel free to do MD5/SHA1 checksum comparisons of the apk from the play store and of the apk downloaded via this tool.
