Hi,
I got my Desire S last week and i flashed it on Endimyon 1.0 i had no network problem at all (3g nearly everywhere...) but it wasn't that good.
I upgraded to Endimyon v2.1 and now i'm on Runnymede S 3.3 with the latest radio 20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04
(I wiped before flashing those roms)
Does anyone noticed a weaker network signal with this radio or Roms? Now i don't have 3g (for example) where before i had on my Motorola Defy.. I never have full 3g signal whereever I am... When i'm in a house, i only get Edge signal...
Is that a physical problem?
Cheers
Been running build #44 for about a week now and it is AWESOME. I've been running over WiFi at home and came to my office this week. It was the first test of connecting to LTE and I seem to have an issue. Under stock Honeycomb, I had very strong bars and constant 4G connectivity. With this ROM, I get low signal strength and it bounces between 3G and 4G.
Just installed Team EOS 1.0.0 - same deal (although Iexpected this since nothing in change logs)
Anyone else experiencing this?
I updated from LiquidSmooth version 2.1 (Android JB 4.2.2) to the newest 2.5 version (JB 4.2.2). After updating I notice I no longer get decent WiFi signal throughout my house. Now I have to be in the same room as the router to get WiFi signal where as before I could be anywhere in the house and my S3 would get decent WiFi signal. Right now where I'm sitting it's jumping between 0 "bars" and 1 "bar" of signal strength on the indicator. When trying to use anything with this signal strength the apps tell me that it has no connect to the network. I can confirm other devices (3 laptops and my father's DROID RAZR M) connect to the WiFi network just fine at this distance. Is there any known fix to this on the LiquidSmooth ROM or some tweak I can do myself to increase my WiFi signal strength? Do others using the latest version of LiquidSmooth have these issues as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Device Details:
Model: SCH-I535
Kernel: 3.4.47-leanKernal-vzw_aosp_43-6.1-+ (Sunday May 26, 2013)
ROM: Liquid-JB-v2.5-OFFICIAL
Just purchased my M8 and moving over from an iphone 5s. It seems as though there reception is noticeably worse with the m8 versus my iphone. I have updated to the current version of the radios (baseband version 1.09.20.0702). Are there any other tweaks out there that can improve reception on the phone. I am rooted and s-off, but on the stock 4.4.3
Thanks
What is the signal strength ? Can you compare with a different phone at the same location. Did you upgrade the firmware or only the radios?
Are you also only going by just signal bars or looking at the rssi values

I am going by the fact that my iphone was solid on 4g and the m8 is flip flopping from 3g to 4g. It is killing the battery when I am at home. I will have to check the actual signal strength tonight. Also, I am on the latest firmware, I think (2.21.605.2)

Allegedly the new radios are supposed to help maintain better lte connections
I have a serious issue after upgrading to lollipop. After flashing the CM12 nightlies and a custom lollipop rom. I could not get LTE signal and my data connection will keep switching between H and H+ with frequent disconnections and loss of signal (exclamation mark).
However when I flashed the O5Q kitkat modem + proximity sensor fix, my LTE signal came back stable with no more disconnections or loss of signal.
Weird issue I must say. It seems like the network I'm using isn't compatible with the CM12 nightlies modems.
Anyone else encounter this issue?
