[Resolved] Need help re-flashing my phone. - Verizon Droid Charge

This is my first Android phone and I've already managed to screw it up. Yay!
I get an infinite loop of FC on twlauncher on boot. I can't access any menus or anything. I suspect I need to reflash, but I have no clue where to get the ROM from. Or how to do it, to be honest. Though if someone has another solution I would be grateful.
EDIT:
Well, I've got it into "Downloading mode". That doesn't require a working OS. Gonna google around to find a ROM and instructions...
EDIT2:
So I have access to another Charge. But no easy access to a Linux box, so I can't create a flash-able Odin image. Sigh.
EDIT3:
Fixed. There was about 3 seconds in between the phone booting and the FC of twlauncher. In that time, I was able to get into the settings app. When twlauncher crashed, it didn't kick me out, as I was hoping. Then, I did a hard reset and everything works again. I'm an atheist, but hallelujah praise the lord.

[Q] I need some help with my sidekick

Ok so I'm not a noob around here. I'm pretty good with the android stuff, but this one has got me stumped. I have a perfectly working sidekick 4g with B2b 2.5 on here. All of a sudden it forces itself into a repeated reboot. It shows me the white sidekick/samsung screen, and about 3 seconds later reboot into the same thing. And it does this over, and over, and over again. At some point it stops and functions normally, but only for a few minutes, then repeats the process. I've already changed roms, back to glorious overdose. It will even reboot in CWM. The only time it stays stable is when it's in download mode. Another problem there. ODIN doesn't recognize when the sidekick is plugged in through USB. So even if I wanted to ODIN, I can't. I tried booting without my sd card, and my sim card. No avail. and i disabled lagfix, still reboots. I take the battery out, and when I put it back in, it turns itself on just so it can continue restarting. There's nothing stopping this phone. Please help if you can. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
first, enable voodoo. i tried disabling voodoo once and it just kept rebooting. i pulled the battery, put it back in, enabled voodoo, and it booted normally. however, in your case, i would run fix permissions before trying to reboot. to run fix permissions, while in recovery mode go to advanced. select fix permissions, wait for it to say done, hit the back button, and reboot. see if that helps. if not, you may want to ask someone more experienced.
Thanks for your reply. I found out that my windows(8) didn't correctly install my sidekick drivers. tried it on my xp machine and bam, ODIN worked like a charm. Unfortunantly, the problem persisted. So i know it's not a software problem. I contacted samsung yesterday and sent in my phone today. I ODINed back to stock then updated to kj1 through kies. I read up on it a little more and people said it was maybe a loose connection on the phone. I'm still in warranty, so I'll let samsung deal with that.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S CWM Application Question

Hello everyone,
I searched the forums for awhile but could not find a satifying answer for my question. So i am hoping you guys will have an answer for me.
First of all i would like to point out that i am not looking for an answer for how to unbrick the phone. There are several guides and hopefully when i get home i will be able to fix the problem. *Fingers crossed*
I did not have my Galaxy S for long. After getting it and installing KIES and updating my firmware the battery life what terrible so I rooted the phone and then installed Gingerbread 2.3.6 JVU. it worked like a charm.
Yesterday when I was playing with the CWM application, I decided that i was going to back up the phone and backed it up using the application. This morning one of my programs was acting weird and I decided to restore the backup I have done yesterday.
Upon going into applications and CWM, I chose the restore option and started the process. Everything was going smoothly, the phone was plugged in to the charger as well.
When the phone rebooted after the initial process I am stuck at logo screen. i can go into download mode (That is why I am hoping that I will be able to unbrick it) however that is as far as the phone goes. When I try to go into CWM Recovery mode, I am once again welcomed by the phone getting stuck at logo screen.
Does anyone have any idea as to why this might have happened? To avoid future problems is there any extra steps I should have taken before using the CWM restore function?
Thanks for the help.

Maybe your backup was corrupted somehow. You could have tried wiping the dalvik cache after restoring your backup (before rebooting), but its too late now. Since you can get into download mode, you can easily fix the problem (your device is just soft bricked - nothing to worry too much about).

The phone rebooted automatically. Did not give me the chance to do anything beforehand.
As you said the phone was soft bricked so when i got home that day i just fixed it. No problem. However I am really really into getting to find out how a 1 day old back up can get corrupted.

[Q] PLEASE HELP, Stuck in bootloop and no way out!

I have a p5113 and it is running 4.2.2 it is a friends. It turns on all the way to the homescreen for about 30 seconds. Then it reboots. I have gotten into recovery and it lets me wipe data factory reset. Then when I go to reboot it shows an error below the android and there has been no data wipe when it reboots. and reboots and reboots.........It also says NO COMMAND when booting recovery below the android. OH, I also tried flashing another stock recovery. Did not fix issue with recovery.
I have gotten into download mode and tried to cf root. Doesnt work, no recovery. Still same as above just goes to stock with no command written at bottom then error when you go to reboot it. Tried both versions of CWM and TWRP Odin files. DONT WORK. Tried to flash recovery by zip and get signature verification failure.
I figured oh, I will do what I always do to tablets try and reinstall the firmware. Which is the 4.2.2 firmware I go ahead and odin it, everything looks fine, it did take way too long like an hour and half. Passes, reboots, same operating system same data didnt change a thing! Still rebooting still recovery errors. Tried to downgrade to ICS and it passed after an hour and a half of slow odining NOTHING again same story as JB didnt change anything.
I have noticed that there is an avg in apps. I never get enough time to uninstall it. It always reboots before I can get to it. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

not a brick and I am on stock if you would have read the OP you would know that. I have had a brick before the definition of a brick is a device that does not turn on. I have flashed many tabs with stock and customs. Thanks for the great advice but I am a member of XDA and I like to do things myself or with the help of others in my community. I REFUSE TO TAKE ANY ANDROID DEVICE TO CUSTOMER CARE THAT STILL TURNS ON>

i like your confidence brother but i was just helping you
also with your threads title in thought you were still having bootloop
also boot loop mainly happens when system files interfere with each other and result in instability during boot and crashes also it is not always necessary that in boot loop device would not turn on as you said earlier
i have seen boot loop on my tab even during charging animation as it was off it was due to use of flashing scripts that conflicted with each other

[Q] I think my XOOM is possessed, HELP!

I want to start out stating that i am very familiar with android's but have never experienced anything like this.
The first thing I tried was to oem unlock it from fastboot, which it claimed to do however i am skeptical as nothing else seems to stick, attempted to install cwm and TWRP neither with any success, even though it says the action was performed successfully.
The strangest thing is that i deleted all the apps on the device from settings/app, but when i rebooted my device they all came back!
All i wanted to do was do a factory reset, which also claims to finish successfully but after rebooting from recovery mode, i am back where i started.
App Updates also do not work as every time the tablet reboots, the apps have to be re-updated.
Its like the tablet is stuck in a read only state and when it reboots all changes are lost.
Like i said, this thing is acting weird and i have no idea where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
[Update: Tried RSDLite, same results, Result is PASS however after system reboot everything is the same.]
Another update, tried downloading HWI69 which is the stock rom, tried to fastboot each image but nothing sticks even though it seems to say it writes it to the system. I'm starting to think the NAND memory is locked up and cannot be written to anymore if that's even a possibility.
BUMP

[Q] Help! I tried to root my tablet and now I seem to have broken it -- it won't boot

Alright, so yesterday I tried to root my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Wifi) yesterday by installing TWRP and then loading the Superuser zip found in their link in the play store. It worked fine--I had root access and all was going fairly well. I then tried to make a small tweak to the build.prop file by changing ro.build.version.codename from REL to L.
When I rebooted to apply that change, I could not start up, so I did a factory reset (not a big deal, no essential files on there). It then booted fine, but when I reinstalled/updated all my apps, the Google services were crashing like mad. So I reverted the build.prop file back to REL and again it would reboot, so I did another factory reset and all was good; the Google apps were fine.
Well I was still rooted and I wanted to take advantage of all that time I spent doing it, so I downloaded the bootanimation zip found on this thread and replaced my bootanimation.zip that was already on there. I restarted to see the animation, and this is when the real nightmare started happening. I could not boot now at all.
I did another factory reset, and still it wouldn't boot. I then used TWRP to do a full reset, and still nothing. I did an advanced reset and somehow managed to delete the operating system files (I have no idea how), causing TWRP to say that no operating system was installed. I still couldn't boot, of course.
Finally, I decided I had had enough of this rooting ****. I searched all over the internet looking for a North American version of my stock ROM, and finally found one posted on this forum post. I wouldn't normally trust any random file, but I was getting desperate here. I used Odin to flash that ROM, and there were no errors. Now when I go into recovery, it gives me stock and not TWRP, so I know that was probably successful.
However, I still cannot boot. I get stuck on the screen that says Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, which sometimes goes away and then comes back. I can't send it in for warranty, because it still says "custom" in the recovery mode. How can I fix this? any ideas?
I really want my tablet back :crying:
