[Q] Thunderbolt Car Blue Tooth Issue it Connects but... - Thunderbolt General

Hi all, Great forum and thanks to everyone who participates and contributes so that people like me can learn.
Quickly, my issue w/ the blue tooth is this:
My thunderbolt did, after many attempts, connect to my subaru car blue tooth kit and i am able to use it for phone calls etc. What I am NOT able to do is use the car speakers as a blue tooth speaker for playing my music or any audio from the phone unless a call is in session.
I was able to do this with my OG Droid in the same car but the thunderbolt won't work.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a similar issue! I have a pioneer car stereo that I can connect via the phone, but when I try to connect the stereo speaker option I get an Error on the car receiver screen.

Microphone issue with headphone adapter

Hello all. I got my TP two days ago and I love it. Problem is, I have a 3.5 mm headphone adapter w/ charging USB on it and no one can hear me when it is plugged in. I use this to listen to my music to/from work in my car (my car stereo has a Aux-In). I have a dashboard mount that I put the TP in to keep it steady. When I answer a call, obviously I can hear them, but they can't hear me. However, this used to work when I had the Vogue...Instant speaker phone. This would be such a pain if HTC decided to somehow disable the phone microphone with this adapter plugged in.
Any suggestions?
I've got the same problem. Is it possible to ensure mobile calls go thru bluetooth?

Bluetooth calling issue w/ Droid 2 & car stereo

Hi guys,
I recently installed a third-party head unit in my car in order to get a number of modern features including aux input and bluetooth capability. (The stereo is the JVC XR810.) I also recently purchased a Droid 2, which is actually a casemod using a Droid 1 body with the Droid 2 internals shoved into it. Rooted, running a custom ROM, etc. It's great, I love it.
Everything seems to work great between the phone and the stereo—I can listen to Pandora or MP3s from the phone, and dialing out works properly, even voice dialing. The call audio is piped through the car speakers and I use the head unit's mic to talk. Wonderful.
The only problem is, when I receive a call while the phone is hooked up to the stereo via bluetooth, the call audio comes out of the phone speaker rather than the car speakers. The music that's playing over bluetooth pauses, the call comes up on the phone, but the sound comes out of the phone itself. This has only happened once (I don't get a lot of calls), but it sounded like it was coming out of the earpiece on the front of the phone rather than the speakerphone speaker on the rear of the phone. (I do plan to do some more extensive testing this evening using my gf's phone to call myself.)
I looked through the phone and car menus pretty exhaustively to try and find a setting that would cause this, but I can't seem to locate it.
Can anyone shed some light?
Bump bump bump!
Nobody, eh?

[Q] Desire Z Bluetooth Car Handsfree not working

Hi all.
Quick question. Topic kind of says all. But, every other bluetooth phone I've had has worked great with my bluetooth handsfree that came installed in my car (Ford Mondeo 2006 and earlier modem). Last phone I had was an Orange San Fran, and that worked great with android 2.1. Also, with the HTC Touch Pro 2, that worked great too. I know that's a WM phone, not android, but would imagine HTC wouldn't mess up something that bad?!
Anyway, with the z, I can connect perfect to the headset. It works in that when I call, radio/cd volume turns off, but the sound comes through the headset, not the speakers... all other phones work fine with volume through car headset speakers. Also, tried doing a test call to see whether the microphone is taken through the car microphone, or the handset microphone, and appears to be handset microphone. When I put the phone to my mouth to talk, it's much clearer and loader than if I put it down and speak in the car mic. So sounds like nothing is actually transferring to the bluetooth in the car...
Is there anything I cam do to ensure it's working perfecly.
Anyone else have any input of what I can do to get it to work?
Thanks alot

[Q] Car Bluetooth while Headphone is in?

Hi,
Do anyone else find it annoying that the Car Bluetooth wont work while the headphone jack is plugged in?
I drive an hour to work every day (and the same time back!) and love listening to Audiobooks, which I got hooked up to the car using a mini-jack to mini-jack cable.
Whenever I get a call, I have to unplug the phone to make the Car Bluetooth take over.
Really annoying.
Do anyone know of a patch that will let BT have higher priority than headphones and not the reverse as now...
Thanks,
I know there's a thread for the stock rom already:

I have the problem on all the roms i tested, old stock, new stock, two diff GB from here.

Car bluetooth speaker

Anyone recommend a good car blue tooth speaker? My work van does not have blue tooth and so I bought a Jabra speaker for about $40 last year and it is horrible. Just looking for some help finding a new one, thanks

Do you have an aux in that you can plug into? If so, I have the miccus mini jack rx and love it. It's small and if you use the usb power cable, it turns on and off with the vehicle (assuming your outlet turns on and off)

nope, no aux plug-in either. Good thought though
Might want to consider just replacing the headset/deck in the van.
Nevermind, I didn't see the word "work" before van. Why not just grab one of these?

The JBL flip bluetooth speaker is pretty impressive. Only thing I dont like about it is theres no forward and reverse button for changing tracks.
This won't help the OP, but along with the thought Kitsune was going to interject, if anyone is looking for a new head unit for their car that has BT hands-free calling & audio streaming, I can highly recommend the relatively new Kenwood KDC-X597 model. Just had one of these installed last week and it pairs & works with the Q nicely (even though you won't find it listed on the compatibility list on Kenwood's website). Easily the best stereo overall I've had in a vehicle.
