Does anyone know of a folder widget that will give me either a 4x1 folder or a 4x2 folder that I can drop apps into. Something like what SPB Shell 3D has.
Want to switch back to Launcher Pro but still want the folder wigdet that SPB Shell has
I tried Simi Folder but it's not really what I'm looking for....doesn't give 4x2 widget.

I went through the same thing just a few days ago. Tried a few options, including Simi and Folder Organizer. But I also found Application Folder and liked that one best (Let's you do either the pop-up widget or folder widget)

Hey guys
I try to make my homescreen look more "personal" if you understand what I mean
So I made some pictures for the apps and folders.
The apps I easily replaced with a shortcut, but for the folders i couldn't find a good solution, because I don't like the labels of Folder Organizer.
Is there any possibility with Folder Organizer to create a folder (with my own icon) which is like the stock-folders? With drag & drop apps into it.
Or is there another App which can do that?

short answer is yes.
with folder organizer you can import icons and type in your own nanes

Why?? How can i do that. You see my white background... i can't read the widget. Only normal apps' fonts are readable...
is it possible to have folders on your homescreen like the iphone does? instead of having a plain boring folder icon, can we have an icon that shows all the icons inside of the folder?
I use Apps Organizer. Doesn't do exactly what u want, but does provide u with the ability to select ur own icon. Perhaps look into Folder Organizer. Seems like I have seen a screenshot showing what u r describing. Both of these apps are available in the market.

Go launcher has this feature in app drawer though, not sure if this feature is available in homescreen...
Ok so you know how you can add a folder to your main screens, and then put other app icons in there. Well the folder is a stock manilla folder and i was wondering how we can change that icon to a folder icon of my choice. If anyone know how please let me know. Thanks
I know it's possible with ADW Ex, I'm not sure about other home replacement apps, but I don't think LauncherPro allows this.
You can also use something like Simi Folder or Folder Organizer to premake folders with custom icons and then add them to your homescreen as a widget or shortcut.

Launcher Pro Plus allows it, I don't know if the free version does. Go Launcher allows it too.
Folder Organizer lite is wonderful. App Organizer too.

Title says it all really?
It's not possible to create a folder within a folder and (I assume) Android organises all apps into an 'all apps' folder, but there's very limited organisational capabilities within the all apps folder.
What I'm looking for is the capability to organise the contents of my all apps folder into different folders, but I can't find a way to do this. Does anyone have any suggestions to apps etc, which could accomplish this, or is it still impossible?

Try Folder Organizer, Simi Folder (pro version allows folders in folders), All Apps Organizer, etc. These all have features that you're asking for, but nothing can change the default Android folder structure or app drawer.

Is anyone aware of an app that provides just the folder functions in the same method that SPB does? I really like being able to create folders, and then see the icons of what apps I place in each.

I haven't used spb but u know simi folder lets you make folders and even allows you to use custom icons for them. It's free in the market so it's worth checking out
