Update: imoseyon has released a new kernel that fixes the camera issue you can find it on jcases gingerjane thread under camera fix.
I see in the three gingerbread threads questions about changes so I thought Id do a quick write up so this info is easy to find.
Notification Pulldown: Now has a Quick settings Tab which gives you toggles for : wifi, wifi hotspot, mobile network, bluetooth, and gps. and a shortcut to all settings. HTC loves to be redundant
People App:On the bottom Slider there is a webcam icon , when selected it shows Video call at the top and the window says No recipient available for video call?
Dock Mode: Visually stunning LOL... This has a small flip clock and rotates different wallpapers. displays the weather and rotates through your friendstream updates. also has gallery music and calendar at the bottom and a button to adjust the brightness.
Friendstream widget now displays a thumbnail of uploaded photos instead of just a photo icon.
App drawer: one downer for me is you cant fling to the bottom of the app drawer it goes page by page. The drawer now has a slider on the bottom that has ALL, Frequent, and Downloaded
While in a call there is a pulldown to show something from friendstream also not sure what content it was trying to show it was a brief conversation.
Thats all Ive noticed so far .. Have you found anything else?
Also I have downloaded from the evo forum the sense 3.0 lockscreen . it will show the music widget, and alarm widget. and displays a huge mms icon when you receive a message.

Can't wait.

There's a new trends widget too.

This sounds interesting, can you explain it further? Is this when your phone is plugged in and charging? Or is it something else... Is there a video out there showing this feature (couldn't find one)?
I want gingerbread so bad, but that broken camera is the dealbreaker.

The camera doesn't seem broken to badly. With included kernel preview works but doesn't save and with the test kernel it saves but preview is broken lol

Is the main menu (when you hit menu on the soft keys) inverted, where it's a black background with white/gray letters, like CM7, or is that only an AOSP thing? Just curious, thanks.
I could deal with a wonky camera but gimped 4G is a dealbreaker for me

Just to be clear... these changes are all Sense 2.1, not gingerbread per se. (Not sure about the dock mode though).
The battery usage screen is new also, it shows graphs for each processes being used.

There is an actual app in the app drawer called Dock Mode, when you click it, it will launch it. The other cool thing I noticed about the dock mode is that you can edit what photos are showed as the walpaper (it is a slideshow) it will allow you to select one photo, a group of photos, a whole folder, or all photos...

Just made a quick video of some off the new features. It's made with shootme so quality isn't top notch. 4g speed isn't that bad for me..around 6mps. I can deal with that it still streams hd content without buffering.
As you can see my battery is running around what I've been used to.

Camera does work but previews don't work with Imoseyeons GB kernel in his kernel threads.
Adrenalyn , butch and team released bamf 1.7 alpha. it includes the 3.0 lockscreen and mms. Gotta say all this 3.0 stuff looks polished. can't wait for more goodies!

Looking for a contacts widget similar to People in Sense UI. Of course, understand we won't get scrollable widget due to lack of Rosie, but just a static 3x3 or greater widget would be awesome.
Found "Artis Contacts Widget" in the market which looks to be a good start but it's not customizable, doesn't support Facebook contact pics and seems to be low res.
Any thoughts, or devs up to the challenge?

@EkostonS Its working just fine on froyo for me...so not sure why it wouldnt work for you
I just got the ADW.Launcher and it has been the best home replacement app so far.
You have the nexus one like app drawer and shortcut dock, and you can adjust the speed the pages flick, page bounce back (like the iphone) and set the number of pages you want to have.
Fully supports all widgets, and really fast (no lag at all like open home or a home)
the best thing is i've used my x10 for 5 hours straight and its only gone down to 95% battery left.
give it a try!
Am using it. Love the Sense Preview, although it could be less choppy (but they fixed most of that in the latest version). Also like the dock bar, and applications drawer.
it great, however, before on one of main screen I had option to turn wifi, bluetooth, phone and gps on the fly by tapping on it. Now after I installed ADW, it is gone, does anybody know how to get it back or something alternative?

Yeah, it should be a widget. I believe it is called quick settings.
Easily the best homescreen replacements. Tried a few Home++ for example and this one is a keeper... havent tried GDE yet....maybe in a while but for now ill stick with this
where can i get this?

Awesome
These widgets look great!!!! OMG I have been waiting for this, especially the inbox one.
Running SR2.5.2 Vanilla with LP.
Thanks+1
Time to rip some stuff out of the dump
CM6 RC3
Wow, this is great.
By the way, if anyone is using Launcher Pro, this widget resizes horizontally very well.
When resized vertically the contact picture gets larger so it takes up more room. The voicemail message is given only 3 lines, no matter how large you make it. I will attach screenshots.
Thanks for this!!!
Anyone know if this is intended to bring VOIP calling to Android devices? Also is there anyway to resize this widget so it takes up 1x4 instead of 1x3?
Oh my goodness I love your dock background!
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
The only way I know of to resize the widget would be with something like launcher pro plus or you can do it by default if you're running CyanogenMod

By default he means with ADW Launcher. Cyanogen includes it in the rom but it is available for download. It is free in the market.
Thanks OP for posting the link. I saw this when it first came out on the G2 forum section but I couldn't get anyone to post at least a picture and I didn't want to go through all the trouble just to extract the new GV app(I'll let someone else do that). I just wish Google would put the voicemail feedback section in their mobile app that way i don't have to get on my computer to give feedback.
Awesome, thanks for the link. Loving the.widgets.

Anyone tried this with 2.1? Anyone with an Incredible in this forum even still on 2.1? ha
Thanks for the heads-up lou! Can't wait to see if any other new gapps fall out of that dump. BTW Widgets are great. Makes sending text with gvoice much more streamlined.
I was wondering if there is an app that allows you to create system settings profiles for 1 click set...
Something like:
Profile:
Office
WiFi-on
Bluetooth-off
GPS-off
Driving
WiFi-off
Bluetooth-on
GPS-on
Home
WiFi-on
Bluetooth-off
GPS-off
Etc...

This is a shot in the dark here because I've never used it, and have deleted it from my ROM, but there is a widget that comes with the stock ROM called the Profile widget.... Maybe that is what it is for?
If that's not it, there must be something in the market or perhaps elsewhere in the ROM?
I've tried the profiles widget, it just changes your sound profile...
I've checked the market, however I might not be using the right search criteria...

Ah ok, I found an app in the market called Quick Profiles... Maybe that will work for ya? Other than that, I'm not sure.
I think I remember that the Epic 4G had a similar feature, where you could turn on different modes that would auto-switch you to different homescreens that you could customize for the situation (work, home, school etc.) It's probably been retained in the latest versions of Touchwiz, as it seemed pretty cool.
I would imagine there's a widget on the market somewhere with what youre looking for. if not, you could just use extended controls so as to quickly change all your settings, since you can customized its widget to control virtually anything.

So i just found that apparently, 2.3 introduced a security feature that blocks apps and widget from turning on the GPS. i am not pleased witht his, as it makes extended controls and anti theft apps (Lookout, Seekdroid etc.) far less useful. bad move, Google. Why u remove features?
I found that the app o installed does not allow to toggle GPS, must be due to that 'feature'

you have 2 options. One is called One More Clock Widget, looks just like it but the clocks are don't flip when u swipe them and don't show missed calls and texts like the motorola one. Option 2 is installing the Razr M launcher and it all works great, but scrolling left to the quick settings screen has a little lag. Its here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1900190
The first one worked great. Bought instantly. Thanks!

I downloaded the necessary apks from this thread (parts of a system dump I provided when I used to have the Razr M - returned it for the S3).
I'm on codename 3.6.0 and I don't notice any lag at all. I think it's a great widget and the launcher is better than trebuchet IMO.
