HTC Homescreen not customizable???

Just upgraded to Dutty's Official 6.1 rom and i can not customize my HTC Homescreen at all. I got these new glass icons i want to install and im out of luck. I searched almost everywhere but no luck. I know im supposed to make a folder for the new icons and put it in the HTC Homescreen/icons folder than a reset. As u can see nothing changes. Anyone got a solution for this? Thank u very much in advance...

Move the folder HTCHome to windows/program/ (cut and paste) and reset your device. Then you will be able to change the icon or even use HHC.

Disable flip clock initial animation

Hi, guys.
I was using a cab from this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584415 - or a manila file (5fa4d4b7_manila - it's the same thing) to disable the flip clock initial animation (turn of 1h 2min) on official ROMs 1.43 and 1.46 but unfortunately this doesn't work on the official 1.66 ROM. It even blocks the clock to display 0:00 until copying again the original manila file.
Does anybody have a solution for this?

I am not on the original 1.66 ROM but on kwbr's topix ROM which is also based on the 1.66 ROM and I have no problems using the attached manila file. Don't know if it is a different one.
But maybe it works for you also?
BTW: Which manila version are you using? Mine is: 2.5.19211619.0.

Manila version is exactly the same - 2.5.19211619.0. With your file you do not have the initial flip clock animation?
If so, I'll back up the original file and try yours. Thank you.

I do not have the initial flip clock animation with that file. It is working fine for me.
Make sure to disable manila before copying and overwriting the original file using resco explorer (or total commander).

Cheers for the manila file, that annimation has been annoying me for weeks!

I have an Italian ROM, 1.48.408.1 with manila 2.5.19211679.0
And I hate that awful animation as well.
What shuold I do?
Download the JayVee disable initial clock flip animation.cab and install it in my mobile? Is it simple like that?
Should I backup something?
And if that's the case, how do I do it?
I'm sorry if I'm so clueless, I'm really new to these kind of things.

Since no one answered me, and I was simply too curious, I downloaded and installed JayVee disable initial clock flip animation.cab and it worked smoothly, so that I finally got rid of the infamous animation.

+1, It worked on my wife's HD2 v11 Miri.
I will also definitely use it when I go back to Miri's Sense versions.

Ultimately, if you are unhappy with this... somewhere down the line, you can simply uninstall this modification. However, if you don't mind me asking... others who may have installed this as well... DOES THIS PERMANENTLY SILENCE THE ANIMATION? Or does it only void the animation once the home tabs are refreshed?

I can not install HDwalls on my HD2. My Rom version is 2.10.82076,Manila is 2.5.20121412.1. Can anybody help.

HD wall is not a pocket PC application... you must install it on your PC.

He actually stated he had installed HDWalls<---with a 's' which you need for HDWall to take effect i believe...
Same here mate, tried to get it working with no joy, tried the patches, ect.. gave up in the end. Settled on the Dusk theme.
Have you read up on the HDwall thread?

HDWallS isn't actually needed if you don't need to preview a folder full of CAB wallpapers. If you know which one you want you can just run/install the CAB without the program.

I discovered that as well... The app is fantastic and the readme thread is comprehensive, but it really should just say in big letters: JUST RUN THE CAB!
There's a thread on here which is just cab after cab of great looking wallpapers. Sorry, would link but at work!

my problem is nearly the same. I´ve installed the HDWallpaper Patch, after this the HDWall Cab. Now i just see the hdwall on the top and on the buttom. Central there is just another wall.
The next idea was that my Manila is so up2date that i don´t need the HQ Patch and uninstalled it. The Result was the as with Patch.
Please Help me I´m going crazy

Try installing the wallpaper cab one more time or 2. Sometimes it's a bit picky and doesn't overwrite a file it should, even if it's usually the opposite, wallpaper works but not the top/bottom bars. Note you need the correct HQWallpaper patch for your manila version.

So, i tried it 2 more times. It doesn´t work. Do you now where i can find a patch for my manila version?

Agh Ok, this is not working for me and I installed everything, step by step (including the correct patch!) I just uninstalled everything. Will try to just load the .cabs on there without HDWallS.

Hi all,
I've tried different cabs to get my calendar and clock transparent. Now I'm stuck with a cab that I can't uninstall. I need the original calendar-file. Can anyone post this?
I also want the clock to become 100% transparent (no outline border). Can someone post a link to this? I've searched in many threads, but all links are outdated

Or a cab-file? Sorry for the bump.

Try to re-install the cab that won't uninstall. I've noticed that this may cause the cab to actually be removed.

[Q]Looking for semi-transparent GenieWidget

As the title says I am looking for a semi transparent GenieWidget. I don't know that is matters but I am running Wolfbreaks 2.3.3 rom. I have found the stock version and a fully opaque version that I can post if anyone wants.

I think you can't install it as a normal apk,
you need to push it to /system/app and set the correct permissions
(rw-rw-rw-).
