That's a loaded question man... each device has it's pros and cons.
For Android I'd stick to a device which has a good community initiative, such as HTC Desire HD. There are lots of ROM cookers for this device. Sony Ericsson, for example, burnt it's community with the Xperia X10 by not providing Froyo, and that didn't help... the Arc is a nice phone but once again will Sony provide decent updates, plus the interface isn't that good.
I'm currently on the HTC Desire HD, and I'm gonna move to the HTC Sensation when it comes out.... it'll be a killer phone, super specs, and I'm sure it'll be popular amongst the cookers too.
Good luck.

Hi, my upgrade is in 3 months and I'm stuck at what to get, the phone i have at the moment is a HTC desire hd, so am used to sense UI, basically I'm stuck between 2 handsets either HTC sensation or xperia arc??
I like to put custom roms on my device and play around with it a lot, but the sensation bootloader is locked and I've also looked through arc dev forum on here and didn't find much by way of roms.
So am really stuck between the 2??
Just wondered if anyone could give some advice as to which one to possibly go for, if they got experience with the handset or just what they've general heard or know?
Thanks in advance to anyone that could help

I would stick with the DHD. its an really good device. C:
Otherthan would i take the arc since the screen of the sensation is crappy in my eyes.
Would the dual core play a major part to getting the sensation over the arc??
I don't really know much about dual core and wondered how much better it would be over a single core?

Hello,
I'm from Czech Republic so sorry for my english . Can you help me which mobile to buy ? I decide between SE xperia Arc and HTC Sensation.
Mobile phone use on the web, sometimes photos, music and sometimes to games.
I heard that HTC have bad battery and camera. But SE Arc is a older model.
So which would you recommend
Thank you
Someone know ? Because I seriously can't decide
Don't know about the HTC and I guess it comes down to what your providers offer at what price. I do know one thing though, I would go for a samsung over a sony. I have one and my dad has the other.
Cheers,
Mike.
I'd go for a sensation anytime
Try HTC EVO 3D - longer battery life even with stock ROM .. it's my 2nd night my battery still 62% .. hell yeah!

I am a fan of HTC.

I got the Sentation and I have never had any regrets. My GF has a SE (xperia 10 mini pro) and I just hate the user interface, it's so limited.
Of course you can get a custom rom for it.
I don't know about the camera but I don't use it that much. Other hardware I think Sensation rules the SE.

A month ago, I my HTC desire z spoiled and I went on to buy a lumia 710 for temporary use. I LOVED windows phones user interface but the lack of apps just makes me wanna move back to android. My desire z came back from repair and I was thinking of selling that and my lumia to get a sensation or atrix. Looking at the specs, the atrix and sensation should have about the same performance. Should i get the attrix since its alot cheaper? Or the sensation? Or use both my lumia and Desire Z?
Sensation

yeah sensation but you not planning to wait and see the galaxy s3?
Get the Atrix 2 as opposed to the original.

Why the sensation? I have no $$ for the SGS3. They dont sell atrix 2 in singapore, unfortunately.
Get the desire s,good price for ICS version of android

The sensation XE version is also very good for the extra $$$ with big bass on the stock earphones, but again battery drains fast, and galaxy s2 is around same price...consider it also.

I think sensation is more popular eg More Roms I guess
I'm an audiophile, so no beats for me. I think I will get the sensation, if I can one thats within my budget. I might as well just stick with my DZ if I was thinking of getting the Desire S.
But am I gonna get the beautiful animations and fluidity of WP if I buy the sensation and cm on it?
With the sensation, definitely. Sense is awesome. Get it in white if you can

custom launcher?
SPB Shell is my favorite. Super slick and goes deep in your phone and changes everything.

Are there any apps in particular that you're missing on the Lumia or are you brainwashed into thinking that a jillion apps is what makes an OS? Your day-to-day interface with your phone is what will determine which route you take. To paraphrase Shakespeare, "to thine own self be true".
Sensation, better get a beast phone than 2 choppy ones and customization with Android is limitless

Hi,
I am thinking of upgrading my phone to another phone namely the HTC One X or the Sony Xperia T.I needed to ask a few things before making my purchase.
1)which one of these is more easier to root and flash a custom Rom on?
2)which one has the most active development forum?
3)which one of these is more futureproof in your opinion namely in gaming performance?
All types of advice is appreciated

HTC ONE X has more options, better, reliable, speed and is under active development. It has greater RAM and CPU power than Xperia T so it has better gaming performance.

HTC build quality is excellent...
but the S4 is more popular therefore there will be more accesories for it, plus is running the latest android version 4.2.2 the HTC ONE is not.
