[Q] Lots of FC's using XDA forum app - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm really getting a LOT of FC's when I'm using the XDA forum app...is anyone getting these?

Yes I had them too, I stopped using it.

It's because they havent updated the free version. The paid version has been upgraded and doesnt FC. Tapatalk is better though as it lets you use other forums as well, although not as cheap.

I do have tapatalk...but the only reason that I don't like it is that I can't figure out a way to go right to the XDA forum...I usually have to search, then choose it...etc...
?
anyway to get a direct click to XDA?

Yes, many of them are. But most of them (myself included) are simply exhausted of seeing the same 5 questions asked over and over and over and over and over when a quick 10 second search would have revealed the answer.
Not to stick up for anyone, but the search on the xda app it sucks something fierce. I searched MIUI theme and got one result for that and the rest was roms. It'd be nice if they/whoever maintains this app could update the search and maybe add the ability to search within threads.

There are more places that offer search services than XDA App and the built-in forum search.

When I saw that, I was kind of outraged. In my head, I was thinking 'Why the hell would they release their main (& popular) browser for only ICS?'. The lack of easy upgrades on different phones really annoy the **** out of me about Android.

Did you think that a browser WOULDN'T need access to the internet, your web history, or what you are typing in?

Well Chrome for mac or pc always has their own build of flash, so maybe they're still developing it to be built in also.

Any advantage to using this over the free XDA app? I tried the beta and it seemed a lot more steps to just get to the forum I wanted, since I only use for XDA.

If you use only xda i don't think it worth to buy it, one difference is that in tapatalk you can use thanks button unlimited
I'm not a fan of the beta. I'm also not in the mood to give tapatalk anymore money for an app with several bugs.
Bought it, but somethings wrong with the subscriptions..
Buy it if you like hitting the thanks button because it lets you go pass 8 thanks.

Let me guess, when someone posted a thread somewhere it lets you know and you sit there wondering why I care lol.
hehe, still trying to connect to xda forums, which doesn't work. Can't create shortcuts either...
Will go back to v2, else there is no thanks button to hit, mate. lol

Tapatalk XDA posting SOLVED THANKS

Hi folks,
Anyone else having this problem? Posting is fine across other forums. I've opened a thread on the Tapatalk forums, but no one's there
I'm having that problem to.. I can't post on xda with Tapatalk or even read my private messages. Something is broken.
but I can not see the threads subscribed to the dedicated tab
Bingo. Been getting the same error message since yesterday. You don't have permission to access this page. When I attempt to post using Tapatalk.

Ditto here for XDA SMH! That's the main app that I use Tapa for like most of you I'm sure. It's a pain to type out an entire reply just for the app to say you don't have permission. The "no results" in my subscribed threads list had gotta be the most frustrating issue.
Perhaps XDAs database is too large for Tapa. All other forums I go to load everything rather fast. The few things that I currently can get to load via Tapa on XDA take a dramatical longer time to load up. I hope that I can even post this reply *fingers crossed*....
NOPE! Had to open the trust Chrome browser to even post this.

My thoughts exactly. I'm no it sure what a site has to do to maintain Tapatalk functionality but it's probably easier for site devs to focus on less platforms.

Make sense, but Tapatalk is much better than xda app.. I hope that's something temporarily.
