Thanks,

If you download the app "root tools" from the market you can turn it off. Its not an option on the main screen, though. once in the app, hit the menu button on your phone, go to settings, and its at the bottom of the options list.
you can toggle it on and off!
::thanks?did this help?::

Ya I'm rooted,
I tried what you said but it won't let me rename / delete,

You need to remount the /system partition as read/write in order to rename or delete the sound file.

[Q] Set dialer as default...

I know on CM7 you can set the dialer tab to default by hitting menu while in the dialer. How do I do that on stock? Even when I hit the dialer icon, it goes to whatever tab I last placed a call from, which is very annoying. Any help to figure this out would be appreciated.

Phone call theming?

Is it possible to theme the screen that comes up when you are on a phone call? Not the dialer but the screen that comes up after.

It's possible it has been done on the vibrant before. You are talking about the screen with a cartoon person there instead of the cartoon android picture.

The screen is called the in call menu. The file you need to modify is phone.apk
located in /system/app/phone.apk the images will be in /res folder, look through all the drawable folders and you should find the current images, just change those out with what you would like.

Thanks Now when my phone is using void lock it looks like it is dead if someone tries to mess around on it.
What about an app that shuts it off permanently? When I put it to sleep and wake it back up... poof, lights are back on.

Password Protect on Lock screen on ICS

Anyone know of a way to have a pattern setup to lock the screen but only become active after 15 minutes of no activity? (I want the lock screen to stay enabled at all times, but only the pattern unlock to come up after the phone not being unlocked and used for X number of minute) The only thing I could find completely disables the lock screen until the time limit has been reached.
I had this option one of my Motorola and liked that function.

Download this app. Only thing is that it costs. Well worth it though.
It's in settings to set it up this way.

Heck no don't buy anything. Hey I restored LICS just for you. Ain't I a pal?
Settings-Security-Automatically Lock->
You can set it anything from 1 second to 30 minutes (after sleep).

That doesn't exactly act like what I was talking about. While you're waiting for the screen to lock automatically, all you have to do is unlock the screen (with power button) and you're on your screen so there is nothing that requires you to slide to unlock while the pin requirement hasn't timed out yet.
It's like the way a blackberry locks the screen and only requires a password after 15 minutes of not being used.

Samsung being sneaky trying to access facebook

So, I get this prompt in my notification menu that says, "Your login session has expired," and then it shows the facebook logo or something identifying it as facebook(I can't remember which.) So, I click it and log back in and it brings me to a screen saying that samsung would like to access my profile, so I click, "close," then the whole app just shuts down. Now maybe when an app tries to access your wall this is just the way facebook responds, but the whole thing just seems kind of shady. It acts as if you had been logged out and you need to log back in, then it just tries to get you press next the whole way through and allow samsung access to your facebook.
