[Q] how to know my SNS is i9023 or i9020

I want to root my SNS, it seems it's different between 9020 and 9023.
Yesterday I received OTA to upgrade to 2.3.4, but it's failed with ERROR STAUTS 7, I think the cause is I have rooted 2.3.3 before, so I download the a14a2dd09749.signed-soju-GRJ22-from-GRI40.a14a2dd0.zip (94.5M) to upgrade to 2.3.4. it successed, Then I checked the settings->about phone->Baseband version
shows I9023XXKD1,
but in FASTBOOT MODE(Volume up + power), it shows:
PROUCT NAME - HERRING
HW VERSION - REV 51
BOOTLOADER VERSION - I9020XXKA3
BASEBAND VERSION - I9020XXKD1
SERIAL NUMBER - 32341ECFD88B00EC
so can anyone tell me my device is i9020A, i9020T or i9023.

Can't you check your box from a phone? There is a small leaflet, there will be you model number.

It's a i9023. I have one, and for some reason, the bootloader says it's a i9020 too.

Need Modem.bin -- or some way to fix my Baseband

I wrote in a few days ago regarding my phone not being able to detect the SIM card.
From further studies, I found that the issue is likely my baseband. Here's my Tablet's info:

I am not sure if that's normal but I gather baseband unknown is not good. I'm trying to go for a fix and maybe reflash my modem file.
However I have two other complications:
* My broadband is down, I'm typing from a USB Dongle
* My tablet can't be detected by Windows. The issue started sametime the Sim coulnd't be found, I tried connecting the tablet to 3 different PCs and it couldn't be detected at all -- I can't even install USB drivers as the PC doesnt even recognize the phone. So I can't update via USB.
I can still connect via WiFi, might go to a place with WiFi and try "Software Update" to see if I can get a software update via the air.
But it seems my only other option is to flash via MicroSD in recovery mode.
Can I fix the baseband by flashing from MicroSD in recovery mode?

I think I screwed up, I flashed using Mobile Odin the 4.0.4 firmware found in one of the threads here for Hong Kong (can't find it anymore). The ICS here flashed my device to a P6200L --> And now Mobile Odin won't work with it! The baseband is still broken. So looks like I lost the ability to flash my device altogether now. I'll try KIES and hope I can do something in KIES, because the new firmware didn't fix the problem.

Updating The Captivate??

Ok i have tried updating this phone several times it is on the
- Firmware version 2.1-update1
-Baseband Version I897UCJH7
-Kernel Version 2.6.29
-Build Number ECLAIR.UCJH7
-Model # SAMSUNG-SGH-I897
I tried to use Samsung kies mini. It didnt work.
I was wondering if there is another program that can upgrade the phone to 2.3 easily and quickly. It is rooted and sim unlocked.

GT-I8262 Network problem

Hello guys.
A friend of mine gave me this phone. He has no idea where it came from (which country) . It came with custom kitkat rom so i cant find the original firmware of the phone (or i dont know how). So i installed lollicop rom on this phone .It worked great until i realized i had no radio signal.

This is my phone info (taken from EFS Professional). I installed shortcut master and went in radio settings. It says GSM service : Emergency calls only. I tried hard reseting / apn change / mobile network automatic and manuall search but nothing shows. Changed from GSM to all i had in radio settings ( like GSM only / GSM auto PRL / etc etc) and nothing happened. I dont know what is wrong with this phone. IMEI is the same as the back cover.
Any suggestion please is highly appriciated

Try to reinstall stock firmware using KIES.
There is no fear for wrong firmware download since download perform by KIES.
However in my case, KIES2 asking S/N, not IMEI. On video he is using KIES3. Of course, you need active internet connection.

Huawei E5336 No Service

I want to help me in my problem
I have huawei mifi (E5336Bs-2) and permanent locked
I've installed firmware and usbloader (using boot pin method )on it to unlock
Then I wrote the imei using (AT^CIMEI="your imei here") and I wrote serial number using (AT^NVWR=6,16,HEX (with Spaces))
after this the modem unlock but always say “no service”
please can help me to solve this problem
