[THEME] WM6.5 New Send End Keys - TG01 Themes and Apps

Insert some life into the boring softbar with these Android Send and End keys!
Pictured Mirom8 cfc beta, a taskbar i am working on based on tsowens 6.5 taskbar and the new send end keys.
There isn't much scope for what can be done, softbar uses 32x32 images like the taskbar.
Enjoy

I will have a look at doing the send end keys for you in plain white, no problem. The taskbar is probably beyond my ability, having contrast problems with my monitors, cannot see faint differences in colour that occurs with transparency on what monitors and lcds i have available.
Just finished the slightly longer version of the bootscreen, will test later then when thats finished i will see what i can do. Very pleased with Mirom8 cfc beta as you know, great stuff.

Mr T's Send End Keys
Found some real nice send end keys originally posted at Modaco
I have just edited the cab to remove some uneeded registry values and renamed it as it had a strange filename.
This is the reworked version by Kevinpwhite, cabbed for easy installation

An excellent additional option - many thanks
I have attached a tweaked version of the .bmp which retains the transparency of the original stock file as illustrated on my curent ROM..

Thanks, i will update the cab and replace the one i uploaded.

Updated SendEnd Keys - Round and Square
Further to the previous posts, I have reworked and improved the round buttons and also created a pair of square ones in a similar style to the Taskbar icons as an alternative. Rename the .bmp, removing the _Round or _Square as appropriate and copy to /windows using Resco, Total Commander or equivalent.
Best regards,
Kevin

Could you rework another version to remove everything but the phone symbols?
Also are you able to rework the symbols in the first post? So they are more tidy and also an option in plain white?
These 2 have been cabbed in this post
I also have other images but seem to be having problems editing them.

Links should now be OK - was having issues with XDA upload for some reason.
By all measn add to a .cab - thank you
I am sure the phone symbols could be provided independently - will have a look at that for you.
Regards,
Kevin

Attached are other images that could be used, i am having trouble editing images due to my monitors here, so i have attached the png files.

Plain Phone Buttons
OK - here are the plain image buttons and the new plain round and square ones.
Should be OK on top of any colour background, though dark probably best.
A bit problematic getting these to upload but hopefully OK now...

Thanks for that, main problem i had with the 2 sets of pngs i attached are when i place them on the phone as SendEndKey.bmp, the telephone symbols turn black as in your 2nd picture, how to get the telephone symbols to be white?

Pure white (255,255,255) is the 'transparency' colour for the softbar - in the versions I've attached in my last post, the square images (your latest) have been doctored to use an 'off-white' colour which renders correctly. Hope that works OK for you ? The round one in similar style could be done the same way.

Kevin

Yes, 6.1 and 6.5 can use the bitmap but not 6.5.x, but that is simply because 6.5.x has a completely overhalled taskbar and bottom bar, for a start, the start button is at the bottom, as is ok and close keys...

They aren't the ones I was originally talking about, it was a single ball, about twice the size of yours, cant really tell you any more as you can understand, i passed it only glancing. Wish i had made a note...

These page indicators were made by k8sh and were in a cab file in this thread. The on page indicator in the cab is blue. I just modified it using a free graphics program called Gimp. I've made several colors to use depending on the backgrounds I'm using. The ones I've modified I haven't cabbed up though. I find it easier to just drop them in the windows folder. If you are going to use these, you might want to backup the CHT default ones before you over write them. The file names are CHT_page_on.png and CHT_page_off.png. Since I have different color on files with different names, you will have to rename them to the correct name before dropping the files into the /windows folder.
Let me know how it turns out.
Sweet dude!

You want these clock numbers?
I have manila 2.5.2012 on my stock ROM + CHT 1.8.5 so I don't know if there is a difference with 2.5.2016. You can try them if you want.
Edit: Now that I've thought about it for a while, I think you mean you want to change the text on your home tab to a different color, right? You have to use Co0kie's Home Tab Editor and go into the miscellaneous settings. Go down and tap Main text color and enter the RGB code for the color you want. I found a website that shows the RGB codes for all the colors you could want here.
Hope that helps.
Also, if you go back to the Co0kies Home Tab thread, there is a fix for the location and temperature text that doesn't change Just go down to the "Known Issues" section at the bottom of the first post and download the fix. [Manila Mod][19-Jun-2010] Co0kie's Home Tab v1.8.5

[CAB] B&W % Circular Battery Icon

First of all thanks to Fightspit from the Android section of the forums for the original icons and smaberg for the use of his % CAB.
This is the second revision of this CAB as I wanted to make the battery icons larger and remove grey segments. They're only slightly larger after all my retouching/cropping/resizing lol but I can live with them now .

Even though the icons have been retouched, on anything but a black taskbar, artifacts may be noticed. As the original icons had some sort of shadow effect, which I couldn't clean without having an adverse affect on the shape of the segments.
Install 'SdkCerts.CAB' first (if you don't already have it installed) and then soft reset.
Then install the '% Circular Battery Mod.CAB' to device memory and then soft reset. CAB is uninstallable.
The CAB works on ROM 1.66, I don't know if it'll work on anything else.
I've also uploaded the original icon set, so if anyone wants to mod further, feel free .
Update: added V2 CAB (grey segments not removed in this CAB)
Another Update: Thanks to TheLynxy for the super smooth icons. Due to the excellent design and clarity of this set, these icons will look good regardless of the colour of your taskbar (no artifacts). V3 CAB added.
My personal favorite is still the first set and they took the longest to do
Update: added V4 CAB - all original icons done by me , colour taskbar friendly (no artifacts).
Another Update : BT&Headset.zip uploaded. In my quest to improve the quality of the stock icons, I've uploaded some improved BT+Headset icons. Just extract then copy them into the Windows directory with Resco Explorer or Total Commander.
Yet another update. V5 uploaded, 6.5.X friendly. (thanks to MykeChester for the screen )
I would also like this. =)

Update: I've found the icons I need (in fact I've found two styles), to be fair I still don't know who originally created them as everyone I messaged said they didn't make them .
It's just a long job of resizing them all and then hopefully someone will give me a hand (hint, hint ) putting the new files into something like Touch X's Battery % CAB.
Just give me the files and the size they need to be resized to and I can see what I can do. Maybe we split up so it´s going to be faster.

Thanks for the offer but I have completed the resizing and am a quarter of the way through putting them into the DLL file.
There is one last hurdle though, the DLL needs to be signed before I can put it back into the CAB. The last time I did such stupid things was when I had a Diamond and it wasn't problem resigning DLL files as the cert was in date.
I last tried to create my own battery icons around January for the HD2 and wasn't able to resolve the signing problem so abandoned it but I do believe a new signer/cert is available now but am unfamiliar with the new process. So a crash course in what's needed would be good. Failing that I'll just upload the modded DLL and/or the ICO's and see if anyone can complete the CAB.
Sorry can´t help with certifying the dll but I would love to have the png/ico files anyway! Is there a chance to send them to me? I would appreciate that.
And of course I´m waiting for the wonderful battery icon. The stock one is crap.
Count me in on that
I would also like this one.
Really looking forward. Hopefully someone could provide a cab asap.
SL bb
Just a quick update, finished it all including CAB . However I've done it wrong lol, the icons needed to be cropped first not just resized and the icons themselves don't look good as the greyed out segments can still clearly be seen (dam transparency filter!!!!).
I personally wanted just a black & white battery icons, so I have just finished retouching every single icon to clean them up. I will just need to now actually resize them (have typically found a much faster way of doing this now ) and then finally re-CAB them. Which I will do when I get some free time during the week.
Here's what the first attempt looked like: (you'll see the greyed out segments and that it looks too small and weird in my opinion LOL)
wow that looks awesome! I like that the greyed out segments are still visible! Don´t change that please. Or maybe you can provide 2 versions?
Maybe I can help. And is there a chance of making the circle a little bigger?
lookin' forward to
Hmmm, ya it does seem a little small. I do kinda the visible greyed out segments, but I think I'll wait and see how it looks without them.
EDIT: Hahaha horstborsch, one minute before me. Having two versions sounds like a good idea.
LOL, @horstborsch & @Bluey Thunder. The reason it looks small is because I messed it up by just resizing the original icons, these original icons didn't use the full area of the icon frame and hence once resized they got a little too small for my liking. I've addressed this by cropping the originals and then resizing to the required size, mental as it sounds it should produce a bigger icon .
Regarding doing a version with the grey segments included, that should be easy enough to do after I've completed the clean (bigger) ones I'm doing right now. Hopefully I'll be able to complete the clean version today after I've finished breakfast .
this will be a great battery indicator mod for stock icons... will keep an eye on this thread...
First post updated with CAB's and original icons.
Thanks man
love your work
[THUMBS UP]
Awesome work! Installed it and everything seems to be working perfectly. Much more informative than the old 5 (or so) bars.
Oh and thanks for also posting the original icons too, I'm sure someone will appreciate it.

CHT TEXTBattery Widget (progression)

I have been working on a couple of new battery widgets for CHT 2.0 and here is the first one. It is based on Poyensa's original text battery kitchen but with quite a bit of modification.
There are four layouts each giving a different text formatting option - UPPERlower, lowerUPPER, UPPERUPPER, lowerlower.
There is also the option to hide the 'percent' string, and to specify the color for each line of text through registry changes. The 'percent' string is enabled by default. To hide it use your registry editor and change HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.Percent.Visible to 0
The font used is named specifically for the widget so it is easy to substitute the font for your own and it won't affect anything else - just rename your font to duncTextBatteryFont.ttf and copy/overwrite to \Windows.
You can also specify colors for each line of text through reg edit. Default is white for each line. To change edit the following registry keys:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.ValueColor
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.PercentColor
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.ChargingColor
Values are RGB and need to be in this format - 255,255,255 - with no spaces.
If anyone is interested the colour code I used for the percent string in the screenshots is 0,185,255.
The widget background is dynamic so it will change height depending on how many lines of text are visible. If you want to remove the background then just install the 'Remove TextBattery background' cab or use CFCGUI to replace the background image with a transparency of your choosing (13d93430_manila)
There is also specific behaviour built in that dictates what lines of text show when fully charged, so if battery is at 100% and on charge all that will display is 'FULLYcharged' (percent hidden even if normally there), but if at 100% and not on charge then ONEhundred will show (with percent string if not hidden by reg edit).
Resizeable and pinnable.
Pressing on the widget will take you straight to the Battery & Backlight options screen.
Any questions please ask!
For those of you having an issue with the widget displaying as a white box I apologise - this is caused by the qtc image file not conforming to a recognised size. I have amended the qtc now and updated the widget cab and the Remove Background cab, but for anyone who has already installed the widget and has this issue just download and install the White Box Fix cab and restart Sense - should be OK then.
2/2/11 Charging color fix - the first and second versions of the widget cab had an issue where the Charging text color did not change regardless of the value set in the registry. This was due to one typo in the lua script (Tect instead of Text!). The widget cab now attached has the fix included, however if you have already installed then simply download and install the Charging Color Fix cab. Might need a Sense restart for the fix to take effect.
For anyone who wants them I have also attached the files for the Comm Switches (cab) and the softkeys used in the screenshots. In the softkey zip you'll find the ones I use as pngs to copy/paste into windows, the manila file for the menu background to do the same, and the psd template in case you want to make any of your own.
The icons down the left side of the screen are the page switch links and notification icons (mail and messages) that I made for BLUE SK-i. You can download the switch links cab and the BLUE SK-i skin for them in THIS post, but unfortunately I can't find the skin shown above for them anywhere (must have deleted them by mistake) so you'll need to use the psd template from there to remake them if you want this look.

a) New stripe profiles replacing original ones -
Android theme beta 3 in progress (profile 1)
Theme 2: Windows Phone 7 themed shades of blue beta 3 in progress (profile 2)
Next release will come with METRO UI icons and more skinning
b) New stripe profiles in addition to original ones - in progress....
c) Allowing more addition of thumbnails per category in progress....
d) Increasing category stripes (currently 8)
e) Eye candy - graphics, icons - bigger, fresher, better
f) AOB
I will be more than happy if anyone wants to contribute/help/suggest/test.
My TG01 is suffering from severe hardware malfunctioning. It will be great help if anyone is happy to 'beta-test' this. As always, please install cabs at your own risk.
Thanks miro for your help and encouragement.
DOWNLOADS:
ANDROID THEME BETA 2
Installation instructions:

Following Mirolg's brilliant effort in extracting the files and making a cab for 'TG01 Stripes' I tested it and it works well.
However, default stripes come with limitations.

I will be willing to help test this
One suggestion, a more colourful Information panel with coloured icons would be good.
i think better is if the icons are bigger but only in white and in WIN7 MetroLook! without names over the icons

Thanks for supporting guys!
That's a good suggestion.. hadn't though of changing information panel because I though dark background will go with every thing.. but yes 'coloured icons' on their way.. soon..

For readability yes, high contrast is good, but adding some colour to the icons wouldn't hurt, but keep the transparent curtain.
Congrats on the project so far drupad! looks promising! it's a shame you never got your device fixed, i hope it all works out well for you mate. Good luck!
I seem to be having a few problems with getting it to display correctly. I have attached 2 screenshots for you. No matter what theme i choose i get this in the first screenshot, and the second is the error i get if i choose customise
i will report feedback too !

Hi!
Is this after soft reset?
I forgot to mention - best way to install this would be 'unticking' all the today items and install followed by soft reset.
See if that works..
I one I uploaded is beta1, I will ask miro to upload the alpha version too from which the screenshots are posted.
Thanks for the feedback

If this does look good to you, it will be really good if you could help with graphics..as I know your graphic skills are awesome
I am not that good when it comes to designing icons, but am trying.

I am sorry about that. Please give me a day or so and will get it back on the track for you. I will re-pack the files and make another cab. May be it's assembly error. I apologize again.

1st attempt
Hi Bro's...
My 1st attempt is quite long...
But result give me more interest for this UI !
• Remove Stripe effect... only when you move...
• Added a clean stripe header for my theme
• Remove background for all Shortcut... (yes i found solution)
Issue :
• with my background method, you can't move stripes to arrange like you want !
• It appear XML and registry Info are false for Stripe color, only valid for Stripe Thumbnail and Stripe Icon header...
Now Result :
Don't Forget... LeSScro is the best !

dreamTeam SimClock Skins Thread - Post Your Own

Hi Guys,
because of many PMs of how to mod the SimClock Widget even more than through the Menu, I opened this Thread to tell you how to change stuff, the name and the dimensions of the images and some other stuff.
Also I would very much like to see the costumizations you come up with
OK. We tried to make the SimClock as easy to costumize as possible. So we didnt work that much with manila files, but rather png image files:
There are now 47 files that can be edited.
I now will make a list with the name of the files and what they are used for. I have also included all the standard Icons in a .rar file at the end of this post.
Toggle Switches:
SimClock_BT_Off
SimClock_BT_On
SimClock_Data_Off
SimClock_Data_On
SimClock_FlightMode_Off
SimClock_FlightMode_On
SimClock_Phone_Off
SimClock_Phone_On
SimClock_Wifi_Off
SimClock_Wifi_On
SimClock_Flashlight
SimClock_Silent
SimClock_Vibrate
SimClock_Normal
There are always 2 pictures for each toggle switch. Everyone with the dimensions of 128x128 pixels and a png file. One will be displayed when the Switch state is off and the other one will be displayed when the switch is on. Using 2 images for each switch you can easily apply stunning effects. The last three Switches are for the phones profile. One of them will be displayed depending on your current profile
The Quick Link Icons:
SimClock_Alarm
SimClock_Clock
SimClock_Contacts
SimClock_Calendar
SimClock_Tasks
SimClock_Explorer
These are the Icon names for the 6 Quicklink Panel Icons. Everyone with the dimensions of 128x128 pixels and a png file.
The small Icons:
SimClock_Settings
SimClock_SmallAlarm
SimClock_SmallBattery
SimClock_SmallCharging
Those are the small Icons for the settings menu, then the small Alarm Icon beeing displayed, when you have an Alarm set, the text Battery Icon and the charging Icon for the text Battery. Everyone with the dimensions of 64x64 pixels and a png file.
Now the Circle Battery Icons:
SimClockCB_5
SimClockCB_10
SimClockCB_15
.
.
.
.
SimClockCB_95
SimClockCB_100
SimClockCB_FullyCharged
These are the files you can edit to change the Circle Battery integrated within the SimClock. Everyone with the dimensions of 128x128 pixels and a png file.
Now the last thing you can edit are the Panels. We are currently working on a little improvement concerning the Panels so this will be updated in a few hours
What I state out now will not be right for the v2 SimClock. Plz be patient for the next few hours and I will update this part
Ok thats for the image files. I have uploaded the original PSDs for the SimClock v2 so if you are using Photoshop or a similar program that can open PSDs, then you can directly overwork our files
If you have the images ready, just copy them into your windows directory and you are done
It would be nice, if you could post Cabs so that everyone can easily enjoy your costumizations
I hope you guys can fill this thread with many good costumizations
The DreamTeam
Reserved.....
Well its only fair, if I present my little costumization first
This is my Honeycomb mod for the Simclock v2. I attached the Cab too

Hi!
That is cool that you spend a thread where people can post the own modes and styles! I think it will be very full here.
Thank you for the thread! But the big thanky goes to you and your dream team for all your work!
i think that this is great idea..but i think that we could post color values too

Beautiful mod. The dreamteam sets the bar higher each time.
Can you post the modded image files separately also and not just as a cab.

Just use cab2oem and you can easily take the cab apart by dragging it on top of cab2oem.exe. A directory with the same name as the cab will be created and all contents will be in that directory (along with 3 or 4 extra files for cooking that you won't need).
edit - guess I was too slow zipping it up , but at least now you'll know how to do it in the future.

Yes completely right I am currently on it. The Taskbar will have a tiny little bug, which I am still working on, but which doesnt really show and does not irritate that much
