Hi Guys,
because of many PMs of how to mod the SimClock Widget even more than through the Menu, I opened this Thread to tell you how to change stuff, the name and the dimensions of the images and some other stuff.
Also I would very much like to see the costumizations you come up with
OK. We tried to make the SimClock as easy to costumize as possible. So we didnt work that much with manila files, but rather png image files:
There are now 47 files that can be edited.
I now will make a list with the name of the files and what they are used for. I have also included all the standard Icons in a .rar file at the end of this post.
Toggle Switches:
SimClock_BT_Off
SimClock_BT_On
SimClock_Data_Off
SimClock_Data_On
SimClock_FlightMode_Off
SimClock_FlightMode_On
SimClock_Phone_Off
SimClock_Phone_On
SimClock_Wifi_Off
SimClock_Wifi_On
SimClock_Flashlight
SimClock_Silent
SimClock_Vibrate
SimClock_Normal
There are always 2 pictures for each toggle switch. Everyone with the dimensions of 128x128 pixels and a png file. One will be displayed when the Switch state is off and the other one will be displayed when the switch is on. Using 2 images for each switch you can easily apply stunning effects. The last three Switches are for the phones profile. One of them will be displayed depending on your current profile
The Quick Link Icons:
SimClock_Alarm
SimClock_Clock
SimClock_Contacts
SimClock_Calendar
SimClock_Tasks
SimClock_Explorer
These are the Icon names for the 6 Quicklink Panel Icons. Everyone with the dimensions of 128x128 pixels and a png file.
The small Icons:
SimClock_Settings
SimClock_SmallAlarm
SimClock_SmallBattery
SimClock_SmallCharging
Those are the small Icons for the settings menu, then the small Alarm Icon beeing displayed, when you have an Alarm set, the text Battery Icon and the charging Icon for the text Battery. Everyone with the dimensions of 64x64 pixels and a png file.
Now the Circle Battery Icons:
SimClockCB_5
SimClockCB_10
SimClockCB_15
.
.
.
.
SimClockCB_95
SimClockCB_100
SimClockCB_FullyCharged
These are the files you can edit to change the Circle Battery integrated within the SimClock. Everyone with the dimensions of 128x128 pixels and a png file.
Now the last thing you can edit are the Panels. We are currently working on a little improvement concerning the Panels so this will be updated in a few hours
What I state out now will not be right for the v2 SimClock. Plz be patient for the next few hours and I will update this part
Ok thats for the image files. I have uploaded the original PSDs for the SimClock v2 so if you are using Photoshop or a similar program that can open PSDs, then you can directly overwork our files
If you have the images ready, just copy them into your windows directory and you are done
It would be nice, if you could post Cabs so that everyone can easily enjoy your costumizations
I hope you guys can fill this thread with many good costumizations

Beautiful mod. The dreamteam sets the bar higher each time.
Can you post the modded image files separately also and not just as a cab.

Just use cab2oem and you can easily take the cab apart by dragging it on top of cab2oem.exe. A directory with the same name as the cab will be created and all contents will be in that directory (along with 3 or 4 extra files for cooking that you won't need).
edit - guess I was too slow zipping it up , but at least now you'll know how to do it in the future.

The last couple of days I have been busy creating a new taskbar theme, but that's not all. Since I'm not the first and hopefully not the last to do this, I created a .psd file so that you may all edit these icons yourself. I have created a basic theme, but I hope more will grow eventually.Don't worry I have created a .cab for those who are not interested in creating icons. The goal of this thread is not modifying the taskbar per se, but more about creating theme's using the photoshop source file as a basis. I hope others will post their modified or self-created source files as well. This is why the thread called taskbar art.
Since There is an excellent thread about modifying the taskbar (two actually) already, I'm not going to explain it all over again, just check it here.
Do read the other thread!!
About the cab file: Important, you do have to install the sdkcerts.cab posted below, otherwise my cab will mess up your system. Also install on your divice not on a storage card. For now the cab I made uses the shellres.192.dll taken from the ROMeOS ROM, which means the icons in the setting menu will be changed as well. Download the 12aon_Taskbar_Art V2.cab (XDA still won't let me upload the cab) and mirror. SCREEN SHOT:
Ok for those that like my new battery a lot I made an updated cab that contains these battery icons as well as the other ones. This is no update cab, it contains all the icons. And I name it: Taskbar Art V2.5
About the photoshop source file: I created all icons needed for a full taskbar makeover. I don't use the E, Ev and 1x Icons so they are not in my .cab but they are in the .psd file. It might miss a couple of small things, those either will be added by me or by you. The source file is 128x128 which can easily be resized to 32x32 needed for the taskbar icons. photoshop doesn't natively support icon creation, but a very good plugin can be downloaded here. The rest of the tools needed can be found in the other taskbar thread.
Everyone who created a theme or a (modified) source will get linked to from the first posts. I will not answer question about getting along with photoshop. Google is your friend. I simply don't have the time or the patience, I hope you'll understand.
For those that would like to play with the .dll files, try MSCEInf. You can use this to open any cab and extract the files that are in it.
I hope I can encourage you to play with it a bit, and am looking forward to your creativity. Love, respect and honesty 12

It makes the font size in my volume screen to be alot more big.
What can we do about it?
Besides that, the look is amazing. Im really happy with the change.
Its hard to find a total makeover in the other threads.
though i think it might be nice to have the precentage on the battery, since its so small

thanks for your hard work doing this.

I think it could fit well on your skin and make it even pretier if you add the ok/x images uploaded in the other post of the taskbar editing

Others have reported issues with that, I remember. Would you mind posting a screenshot, it helps me think. I think the problem is in the HTCVolumeControl.dll you could deleting/renaming mine, restart and edit the one in your rom with my icons. 12

First, here's the link for the ok/x buttons i told you..it still needs a little graphical changes to fit your taskbar makeover, but its surely a nice start.
about the volume, I dont have printscreen software installed, so here's a picture i found, at one of the 60 pages I just paged, for the first link =)

I guess they are located in the shellres.192.dll then? I really think the only option is to edit the HTCvolumeControl fom your rom. I'm short on time right now, so you can edit them yourself or upload the HTCVolumeControl and wait. 12
Ow and btw you link was invalid, but I managed to resurrect it (new link)

Just delete/rename the HTCVolumeControl.dll (to HTCVolumeControl2.dll for example). Then restart your device (the one from your ROM will be restored).

Awesome work man!!
Works fine for me!
how do i edit the standard manila slider? is thre a program or something else? i wanna to create a slider for my anastasia icon set
i wanna change all icons and the slider itself...
ah and by the way...im searching for a good .dll editor...i wannt to change some icons in some .dll.
Mate, about the slider you can download a complete slider mod (slider+tab icons), there are plenty of this , then extract the manila files from inside the *.cab. Once extracted the _manila files you can use Chainfire's CFCGui to extract and save all the cfc compressed manila files in *PNG format.
At this point I know that you can easily edit every single PNG.
The last step is to import into every _manila file the PNG you just edited, still using CFCGui. Now you can see that every PNG will be compressed and every manila file will show the new graphics you made.
At this point you have to make a CAB with the manila files for an easy installation.
Hope you understand me mate.
Anyway just ask
EDIT: sorry I forgotten ......I use Restorator 2007 to change icons inside the *.dll .
I found that ResHacker or PE Explorer are not as good as Restorator for icons. You can also use multiple instances of Restorator and just drag'n drop the icons from a *.dll to another one.

Just one more tip having been through this process myself (with Jaguaralani's great icons)...
Watch out for the calendar icon! Sense automatically overlays today's date over this icon, so if you want the date to appear in the right place, you need to design the icon around the date and not the other way around.
Also, there are two different positions for the icons within the image - one for the icons to the left and right of the current position of the slider and one (a few pixels higher) for the icons that appear to 'move' with the slider, if that explanation is not too confusing...
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...
Added: Looks like AntonioMistretta has beaten you to it with the slider - a bit naughty really, but he is one of the good guys around here, so I hope you won't be too hard on him! The slider icons themselves are the difficult part anyway... ;-}

Why?
I got tired of seeing my HD wallpapers blurred by manila, so I hit maranell0's HDWall.
There are various other threads containing HDWall cabs with some trully unique and wonderful contributions.
The thing that motivated me most to make my own cabs was that I found each poster has their own preferences; transparent taskbars, transparent softkeys, tweaked sliders etc.
For me, I wanted simply the HD wallpaper. I have customised softkeys and taskbars and I didn't want to mess with them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Testing
The attached HDWall cabs have been tested on a HD2 (T8585) with:
- Stock WWE ROM 1.66
- Manila v2.5.1921
- Co0kies HT 1.7.1
- [Manila Patch] High Quality Wallpaper for Home Tab & Manila Start Menu by Co0kieMonster
- BG4all
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
How?
There are two options for installing these cabs:
Option A - direct
Simply choose the cab you prefer and save it to your device.
Using your prefered file explorer, browse to the cab and click.
Option B - via HDWalls
Transfer the cab AND the associated '*-P.jpg' file to your nominated directory on your device where you store HDWall cabs.
Open HDWallS
Browse to the thumbnails until you find the new image.
Click and install.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes
Uninstall before installing
Before installing one of my cabs, be sure to uninstall any previous HDWall cab you may have installed.
BG4all
Co0kie recommends that you avoid using BG4all and HDWall together.
I have BG4all running smoothly with these cabs and have experienced no problems. The HD image is displayed on all tabs.
Please be conscious of this if you experience problems.
Images for lockscreen
Attached is a zip file of all original images should you wish to manually change your lockscreen pic to match your wallpaper.
Uninstalling
These cabs are all uninstallable.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Requests
Requests welcome!
If you would like a wallpaper made for you, please do not hesitate to ask. Simply post your preferred image and I will endeavour to create your ideal background.

Images are generally found online. I take no credit for the original images. Thank you to the talented people behind the camera.

You can get them Here
Nordpolcampers Softbar Collection
Well its 01:15 am and I finally finished my work. These are Softbars ported from Android devices. I think it was adw launcher etc, but nevermind. I hope you enjoy the Softbars. They come without Softkeys until now, because I am just to tired to make Softkeys for all these 6 bars. I will be uploading the softkeys I am using on the screenshots in about 10 hours, when I get out of my bed^^
For the Download look post 8. Everthing is there^^
Of course the credits go to the original creators^^
A Blue Droid Eye Version can be found Here^^
PAPER STYLE SOFTBAR COMPLETE
Well this is my first full Softbar. A friend of mine saw this Softbar on an Android device, so I copied it for us on the Winmo devices^^. Credit to the one who originally created the Softbar for Android.
The Cab File is up. Look post 10^^
MrBeOTP2 Style Softbar by Nordpolcamper
Well...Today I asked MrBeOTP2 if I were allowed to copy his new softbar, which he presented in some screenshots in this forum, because there was the rumor, that he would stop developing and sharing his themes. So I took on the task after he gave me the ok. By now the rumor proved to be wrong and he has released his new theme^^
But I already finished my work, so I will post it here. All the credits for the Softkeybar goes to MrBeOTP2, because he was the one who came up with the design. I only tried to copy it. I assure you, that these are not the original files of MrBeOTP2
CAB is UP!! Look post 10 to get them^^
NOW AVAILABLE: Pure Text v4
Well guys I had the time, so I made some new toys for you to play with. I hope you enjoy^^
CABS ARE UP!! Look post 10 to get them^^ uploaded all in one rar file, just extract and you will have all 5 cabs to choose from^^ Hope you enjoy
GINGERBREAD STYLE
CAB is UP look post 2
NORDPOLCAMPERS NEW SOFTBAR
CABS ARE UP!! LOOK SECOND POST
Of course you can change the arrangement of the softkeys, but I wouldnt recommend to do so, because the softkeys differ in hight. By rearranging them they will not perfectly fit. What you can change is softkey 1 - 5 and 2 - 4. Hope you enjoy this work of mine^^
I do have a question though, maybe someone knows the anwser. I know that the softkey Background file is stretched when you let the menu pop up, but does someone know at what pixel exactly the stretching starts ?
New Android Style Softkeybar V2
Well I reedit my Android Softkeybar, and this is what I came up with For download look post 2.
For the more transparent Version look here Here^^
GRAFFITI and BRAILLE Softkeys
As requested the new softkeys^^ For download look post 2
WHITE CIRCLE SOFTKEYS
PURE TEXT v3 with 7 Colors
I put all the files in one big folder in the attachments. Just copy the ones you like to the Windows directory. For those who cant do that, the Cab Files are up and can be found in the attachements (Pure Text v3 all Cabs.rar)^^
PURE TEXT v2 with 6 different Colors
ADROID SOFTKEYBAR^^
NEON-STYLE Softkeys
For those of you, who dont like the black background, here is text only
look post 2 for download On the secon picture, there are small colour rests under the softkey text. I removed them in the downloadable version^^
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I designed 5 Sets.
Each containing an icon for:
Cookies Menu
WinMenu
Phone
Web
Lock
Tabslider
More are to come.
Furthermore I added a Basic Black WinMenu key.
For more Stuff check post 2 and especially this whole thread, because there is way more coming^^
For installation of .rar files:
1) Use Winrar to extract the files
2) Copy attached .png-files to your storage card
3) You might want to backup your existing softkeys
4) Move the files via File Manager, Resco Explorer, etc to the Windows Folder of your device an replace the old files.
5) Restart Sense
For installation of .cab files:
1) Copy the .cab file to your storage card
2) Run the .cab file
3) Restart Sense
Thanks to steve0007 for the .cabs
I really hope, that you enjoy using these softkeys. If you have tipps for me to improve them, than that is even better
If you would like to have different colours than I provided you with, just request them, and I will get it done, if i am able to^^
EDIT
Adding Icons without the reflection:
Beacause I was asked to, I uploaded all the Pure Text Softkeys in one big Folder, so that you can interchange the colours more easy^^ Its the same with the Pure Text without reflection
Another Skin will be available later this day^^ Hope you enjoy
By the way, I have to thank rat_2665 for some tipps he gave me and MrBeOTP2 for the inspiration with his v2 windroid softkeys and the softkeyfont presented in the pictures. To get it, visit his Thread.
I do not mean to steal any content which any other Member might have posted, this softkeys were done by me and are, what I want my softkeys to look like. But nevertheless if there are already keys like that provided by some other Member I hereby say sorry. PM me for that concern plz.
More Softkeys for Pure Text v2 White can be found Here
New Speechbox-Softkeys + Further Attachments
Now Speechbox-Softkeys are up. Hope you like it
Up until now I just added black as the basic colour, but if you wish I can provide more colours. Furthermore I will put the Pure Text Softkeys all together into a single .rar file, so that you can easily combine the colours And in the next days I might get to design the whole softkeys Cookie provided. I mean the Cancel, OK, Up Arrow and Down Arrow and stuff^^
For Download look post 10
Speechbox Black
Tanks to the insight of 2 members of this awesome forum I got capable of editing the softkey background. I started simple, but more complex backgrounds will follow and can be requested if it doesntgo over my abilities^^
To install:
I uploaded one big folder with all the files because I cant have that much attachments . But dont worry, it is very easy to understand.
1) Expand the folder using winrar
2) Choose the background you want. For the sake of you not choosing the right one I attached a picture into every folder, so that you see what the file inside will do to your background.
3) Put the Manila file inside the folder of your choice into the windows folder of your device.
4) Restart Sense
Dont worry it sound more complicated, than it really is^^ just choose what you want to have and then copy the manila to windows
I hope you enjoy using these^^
Furthermore....not the whole image you see will be the background, only about the upper half of the pictures you see^^
The first to Bow Backgrounds are edited versions of MrBeOTP2s v2 Softkey Background, so the credit goes to him

I have been working on a couple of new battery widgets for CHT 2.0 and here is the first one. It is based on Poyensa's original text battery kitchen but with quite a bit of modification.
There are four layouts each giving a different text formatting option - UPPERlower, lowerUPPER, UPPERUPPER, lowerlower.
There is also the option to hide the 'percent' string, and to specify the color for each line of text through registry changes. The 'percent' string is enabled by default. To hide it use your registry editor and change HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.Percent.Visible to 0
The font used is named specifically for the widget so it is easy to substitute the font for your own and it won't affect anything else - just rename your font to duncTextBatteryFont.ttf and copy/overwrite to \Windows.
You can also specify colors for each line of text through reg edit. Default is white for each line. To change edit the following registry keys:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.ValueColor
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.PercentColor
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CHT.duncTextBattery.ChargingColor
Values are RGB and need to be in this format - 255,255,255 - with no spaces.
If anyone is interested the colour code I used for the percent string in the screenshots is 0,185,255.
The widget background is dynamic so it will change height depending on how many lines of text are visible. If you want to remove the background then just install the 'Remove TextBattery background' cab or use CFCGUI to replace the background image with a transparency of your choosing (13d93430_manila)
There is also specific behaviour built in that dictates what lines of text show when fully charged, so if battery is at 100% and on charge all that will display is 'FULLYcharged' (percent hidden even if normally there), but if at 100% and not on charge then ONEhundred will show (with percent string if not hidden by reg edit).
Resizeable and pinnable.
Pressing on the widget will take you straight to the Battery & Backlight options screen.
Any questions please ask!
For those of you having an issue with the widget displaying as a white box I apologise - this is caused by the qtc image file not conforming to a recognised size. I have amended the qtc now and updated the widget cab and the Remove Background cab, but for anyone who has already installed the widget and has this issue just download and install the White Box Fix cab and restart Sense - should be OK then.
2/2/11 Charging color fix - the first and second versions of the widget cab had an issue where the Charging text color did not change regardless of the value set in the registry. This was due to one typo in the lua script (Tect instead of Text!). The widget cab now attached has the fix included, however if you have already installed then simply download and install the Charging Color Fix cab. Might need a Sense restart for the fix to take effect.
For anyone who wants them I have also attached the files for the Comm Switches (cab) and the softkeys used in the screenshots. In the softkey zip you'll find the ones I use as pngs to copy/paste into windows, the manila file for the menu background to do the same, and the psd template in case you want to make any of your own.
The icons down the left side of the screen are the page switch links and notification icons (mail and messages) that I made for BLUE SK-i. You can download the switch links cab and the BLUE SK-i skin for them in THIS post, but unfortunately I can't find the skin shown above for them anywhere (must have deleted them by mistake) so you'll need to use the psd template from there to remake them if you want this look.
