I apologize in advance for being such a NOOB but I've rooted all of my Android devices, just having trouble with this one. Also, sorry but I can't post in the root thread because <10 posts...
Anyways, I did the one-click root program found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011196
The problem is that my device will reboot RANDOMLY now... the rooting process seemed to go ok but now can't be used because it shuts off on average once every 25 minutes...
What happened?!?! I would seriously be sooo grateful to anyone willing to help me out.

Hey everyone,
I need some help. I need some help with rooting and upgrading to Froyo on my girlfriend's LG C710h. There isn't a specific section of the forum for this phone so I thought I would post here. I was also hoping some one could help me with doing some data2ext on this phone as well. The internal storage this phone has is just weak and I was hoping I could fix that. None of these guides have to be for noobs as I have a rooted and hacked Desire. Thanks for your help
Scratch needing help rooting, I was able to successfully root the phone using z4root. But if someone could help me with Froyo and data2ext that would be great.
Update question
Hi there, having some troubles updating this phone -- says will not connect / sync to PC suite. It's my friend's phone and she's looked though all through the settings and can't find any way to change it, and with all my internet searching, neither can I (we're not together at the moment, she just called me and asked for help)
Can you help us out? How do we change this setting? Rookie question, I know
Hey everyone, first time post, long time reader.
I'll apologize in advance for asking, and I have looked through the forums so if I missed it please point me in the correct direction.
I just spent the last 8 hours doing the one click root for my HTC Inspire ( I wish I was joking), and seems I was successful. However, I fail to understand what steps to take next to get the overclock from CWM to work.
If anyone could please give me a step by step process after the rooting process I just completed, assuming I know nothing, and going into detail on this I would be greatly appreciative.
Thank you very much!

If the kernel you have supports it, you download SetCPU from the market to OC it.
I have downloaded Set Cpu.
I also downloaded the root checker, and it says busy box installed, phone not rooted!
WHat could I have done wrong? Anyone else having this issue with Once Click Root for the Inspire?
Greetings!
I'm new to all this so I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place. Please forgive me if I am.
I've spent the last hour searching all over these forums and the web in general for the answer to my question, but I haven't seen a resolution.
I have now tried the SuperOneClick root for my Nexus One about a dozen times, and it keeps freezing on "Running psneuter..." and never ever goes any further.
I have tried this on two different computers, I installed the USB drivers from the Android SDK, and I have USB debugging turned on. I've followed those instructions for what happens when you get in the loop, even though they don't seem to apply to this exact situation.
There have been a few other threads here that seem to be about this topic, but they simply die out with no apparent resolution.
Please help! I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Any ideas? I'd really like to root my phone, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...
Yeah, USB debugging on is fine..
Have you tried the gingerbreak APK?

I apologize for being such a noob to all this, but I'm not familiar with what that was. All anyone talks about in the "blogosphere" is SuperOneClick.
Does the gingerbreak APK simply root the phone and not mod it? For the moment I really just need to root. Eventually I want to MOD too, but first I want to get Titanium Backup Pro on there so I can save some game data before I MOD.
Again, sorry for being such a newbie. I haven't done rooting/modding since my G1 about 18 months ago, and things have changed since that...
I have to admit, I'm surprised how many posts I've seen with the exact problem I'm having, yet nobody has responded with an answer to this issue. There are dozens of comments on the Shortfuse site from other people who are stuck at "Running psneuter," and there are no fixes or even responses, really.
There seem to be many smart people on these forums, so it's strange that this hasn't been worked out or even addressed...
Exact same problem as above.. Locks at "running psneuter"
Pulling the usb then goes to ***IF IT KEEPS LOOPING.. Etc *** and then killing ADP server..
Nexus one
2.3.4
GRJ22
From what little I've been able to get out of others here, it seems that the problem is there's no exploit for 2.3.4 yet.
However, I found a guide to rooting here: http://goo.gl/oCWvR
It requires you to have an unlocked bootloader, a process that basically wipes your phone, so be aware of that. But I'm all rooted now so it's definitely possible to do.
Good luck!
I used the exact same guide.. went to post it to a thread here but as I have low post count I cant post links..
Bootloader was already unlocked.
Heh, well, once you get to SIX posts like I have, you're clearly a big-shot poster But yeah, that's a very good guide.
In the end, though, it wasn't what did it for me. I was still having issues with it, but it got fastboot on my system and got me started. I then followed the instructions on Cyanogen's site and put a different recovery on there in order to get CM7 installed on my phone.
How to root my Motorola XT860 running 2.3.5? I have tried all of the Oneclick programs I could get my hands on. Also, I am unable to downgrade to 2.3.4.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Help Rooting An XT860 too...?
Hi, new to the site. Really liked the video I had to watch before signing up, it put a smile on my face.
So I'm trying to root my bone stock Canadian Bell Motorola XT860 and have been searching the web high and low. I've tried Petes One Click with no results and can been seen in the pics below. I see that others have been able to root this phone but I haven't found where anyone has done it recently and I'm wondering if the recent updates have made it unrootable. If anyone can help me get this thing rooted it would be greatly appreciated! Here is what I'm running into...
I'm trying to do it on my Win7 Starter net book...
Let me know if you need anymore info....
Thanks!
Edit: I tried to post screen shots but I'm to new to do that here is the error messge I'm getting....
SEARCHING FOR THE PHONE (connect it now if you haven't yet)... found!
Running exploit step 1 of 3 (setting up symlink)... done!
Rebooting your phone... done!
Running exploit step 2 of 3 (modifying local.prop)... done!
Rebooting your phone... done!
Running exploit step 3 of 3 (adding su, busybox, and superuser.apk)... FAIL!
ERROR: adb could not be granted root access via local.prop method
Try again from the start, but if the problem continues, check your version
of Gingerbread -- hopefully you don't have a version where this exploit
was fixed.
OK I'm not sure if the op will see this or not but thanks to another member pointing me to this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582
I now have my XT860 rooted! One freaking click!
Hope this helps others.
