I was one of the folks who got pushed the 20110509 build (came down this morning). Now, I have no dock at all. If I try to boot the machine with the dock attached, it stays stuck on the boot screen for minutes. If I boot without it and attach it, nothing happens for about a minute, then I get a battery icon with a question mark on it in the info window...that is it. It still is not registered with the system.
What...the...hell?
Were you rooted when you tried applying the new OTA ?
Negative. I've not rooted yet.
Sounds like you need to factory reset.
US version?
Yes, US version. Stuntdouble, is there no way to roll back an update? As in, reapply an older firmware file (20110423) that I have?

No I don't think so. Unless you root and re-flash with one of the roms from the dev section. Although now I've said that I'm not sure you can root from this new version yet.
Is it at least worth trying grabbing the correct downloadable firmware file from the Asus website and seeing if it will apply it ?
Yeah but only if a factory reset doesnt restore the unit to working with the dock first. I'm not a betting man but I reckon that will fix it.
Unfortunately, it didn't...I still have the same firmware (20110509) that I did before the wipe. I think the problem lies there, so I am going to need to figure out how to flash a prior firmware.
Thanks for the assistance thus far, guys.
I didnt expect it to wipe the firmware update but I did expect it to fix the connection problem. Good job I didnt bet. Anyways sorry you're having the problem. Probably a good idea to chat with those clever folks in the dev section to get it sorted though.
Thanks for the help. I was able to roll back the firmware of the device, but the dock issue remains. I am assuming that the dock itself has some kind of firmware, and that it is what got hosed.
Seams ro be plenty of people that are happy with the beta firmware. Try it one more time
Looks like the firmware push was a one-shot deal. I am not getting it offered to me again when I check for updates. As far as the dock goes, the power light is not even coming on when plugged in anymore. Friggin' weird.

Makes me scared to do the update that I requested from him. Looks like you were the one unlucky one of the batch according to the other dock update thread. Sucks!
This was a BETA firmware update so yeah once you download it it thats it.
Theres no real reason to discus it here any further, you need to contact the Asus dev thats been working with us on this and he'll work with you to get your dock working again. They did this beta release to make sure it worked before going with a full release. You signed up for a beta unverified release, that means there could be issues.
As you can see in the topics, most of us have had no issues. so just go talk to the asus dev and i'm sure he'll work with you to repair everything.
Already PM'd him. Will update with a response.

the fact he plugging it in has no light on sounds to me the dock is broken. factory reset wont help because that resets the tablet only. seem like a particular case here tho. i bet if you try a different dock itll work just fine. best of luck you find a fix soon.
mine installed the beta tablet firmware, then as soon as it booted it updated the dock firmware
did yours update the dock firmware on next reboot?
also... this may sound dumb, but does the dock have any battery life? Unplug your tablet from it, and plug the charger into it. See if the LED lights turn on...
No, it didn't. I got no notification at all about the dock getting updated (or needing to be updated). They were connected when I got the update, the unit restarted, and no more dock. If I try to restart with the dock in place, it just hangs on the second Asus boot logo. 2 seconds after I undock, I end up on the login screen.
I've spoken to Asus this morning, run through the normal wipe steps, and now waiting on a senior tech call. I doubt there is much that they can do, unless there is a magic key combo or other backdoor to refire the dock. It looks like I'm going to be RMA'ing back to NewEgg.
It's interesting that everyone else who has done this update has said that there is a 'part 2' to the update, which updates the dock. So the dock itself has firmware, this pretty much confirms.

Hey all,
I'm getting my G Tablet tomorrow and I'd just like to get some things clarified.
I know, the first thing some will say is USE SEARCH! Well, I did - and that's actually why I just want to get some things straight before I go down the path of modifying the device software. See, reading it all has managed to confuse me more than help me get a definitive instruction set for forging ahead.
I'm seeing the update "****s on CWM" according to a user...and then a 'fix' for that. Than I see that Gapps causes FCs for some, while it works for others. So...yeah, a little back and forth on what to do and who's instructions to follow.
Alright, so first thing's first....Should I flash the Clockwork Mod that I'm seeing available - 0.8? or is there something else I should consider or that I've missed? or maybe wait for a newer version? Should I even flash CWM if I get the newest (and I WILL be getting the newest) S/W version? Are there any downsides at all to flashing CWM on there in terms of messing with OTA updates, etc?
I read this:
"All the ROMS use a standard firmware updater that can be used by non-technical users. Here is an explanation on how it works:...."
Sooo, does that mean I can live without CWM? If an update doesn't work for some reason, will I be able to fix it or overwrite it somehow if I can't get into the tablet at all from the tablet itself? I read something about going into APX mode and putting things on through Windows, is this an infallible method?
Second of all, I read the FAQ thoroughly (I think and hope) but I'm still not 100% on what Gapps to DL or how to put a working Android Market on there especially with this new S/W update. I've seen how to 'fix' the Market to see missing apps, but not how to actually install it on the G Tablet. I may have missed that post somewhere on here.
I'm also unclear if I should get Gapps or not at all, as I've read that some have FCs on there while others do not - so what's the general consensus in light of this update that was just released as of Dec. 21, 2010?
Ultimately, here is what I'd like from my GTab:
I'd like to run the new official Tapn'Tap released recently first and foremost.
I'd like to have the official/unofficial (w/e) Google Market.
I'd like to run Google Apps (Gtalk, Gmail, etc.).
IF I don't like Tapn'Tap, and this is a worse case scenario situation, as in if I HATE TnT - I'd like to have the option to slap something else on there and I'd like to make sure I don't brick my Tablet. Whether that means storing an original official TnT ROM or whatever.
Point me in the right direction please, especially considering things may have changed as of the new S/W update.
Thanks much and sorry for all the questions. I assure you I used search and I attempted to put it together on my own. It's been a long time since I've modded (G1 was the last time) and I don't do it often. Also, apologies if I posted this in the wrong section....I considered posting it in Dev. section but this one seemed better suited.
Thanks again, XDA rocks.

I don't know how much direction pointing I can do but here goes..
Clockwork mod in my opinion is a necessity. Version 0.8 is the best one for most people because of how it deals with the memory locations. Yes, you can do things without it. The update process is as simple as putting an update.zip file, and a recovery folder with a command file in it on an sdcard and holding the vol + button while hitting power. It is easy. Clockwork has a lot of little features though that make life easier. You can make a complete system backup with it. You can install updates, and new firmware with it. You can completely lock up your tablet and using clockwork and your backup be back in business in about 3-4 minutes. You can load new roms and if you hate them you can go back to your old working stuff in minutes. Yes, there are ways to make one of these tablets work again when they get stuck. I don't think anyone has actually bricked one. Some may think they have, but I doubt it.
Unless you are dead set on wanting the stock TnT interface the easiest way to get what you want is to load one of the roms. Yes, there are ways to get most of it without loading a new rom. Most everyone that has gone the I have to stay stock but want all the mods has eventually just loaded a rom. TnT3.0 is based on the latest stock stuff. It has the market, flash, etc. already in it. VegaN is what I use mostly but they are both stable and fast.
Before you flash something brand new that just came out I would read about it and see what others have to say about issues. It usually only takes about 30 minutes until you can tell if it is going to be good or not.
All of the roms for this tablet have there own little quirks. The stock has gotten better with each update but it still is not as good as the ones I named.
Finally.. This tablet is very easy to play with. It is pretty much unbrickable. Anything you can possibly break one of us has probably already broken before and fixed. There are some people that seem to have problems doing every little thing. Most don't. So I wouldn't let any of it scare you off because none of it is that hard.
With a little bit of searching almost everything you may want it to do can be done. I really love mine, and when I got it almost 2 months ago I hated it...

"Sigh" of relief. Then I'm not too worried. As I said I've dabbled in modifying my G1 and it is mostly cake. But I've just been seeing conflicting posts on whether cwm works with the newest official tnt release or not so I wasn't sure what to do.
Thanks for your advice. And when I said pointers, I meant like this as well as pointing me to any posts I may have missed on how to do whatever. Though I THINK I found most of them.

The new release overwrites clockwork. But it is not hard to put back. Always a good idea to copy the clockwork backups folder to your pc, or somewhere they won't be lost. The custom roms typically leave the recovery image alone and can be installed with or without clockwork by either extracting the zip contents for stock recovery, or installing it as is in clockwork.

I can vouch for that. Erased system, boot, data and cache in preparation for a new ROM. Accidentally rebooted and couldn't get into recovery. Booted it into APX mode, flashed stock and was on my way.
I would just run ZRoot, then upload the TnTLite 3.0 recovery and update.zip and then do the recovery mode process. You should have a microsd handy just in case it doesn't work, but so far I haven't needed that.
This tablet is much easier to work with and very forgiving since VS never took the time to lock down the bootloader etc like Motorola did with my Droid X. You really shouldn't fear changing files out etc, provided you're getting a ROM from one of the people providing them here. If you can press and hold two buttons at once, you can make your gTab an awesome little tablet. It benchmarks about 1000 points higher than my Droid X on quadrant. Can't wait to see what these guys can do with Gingerbread.

It is also not hard to alter the update so that it does not overwrite clockwork.
Open update.zip
Find updater-script, Open in notepad++
Remove the line that references recovery.img
Flash update

The very first time I rooted, I used ZRoot and installed 2.4.0. I didn't change anything and used the exact same process of simply copying over the 3.0.0 files over to the root directory of the internal memory and did the recovery procedure (vol+ and pwr keys). It worked like a charm.

My device hasn't come yet (damn you FedEx!) but I'm eagerly awaiting it.
My plan:
Unbox, start it....do a factory reset from the getgo if it has enough juice.
Set it back up. Charge it to full. If whatever comes on it is as unbearable as I've seen in on Youtube - start modifications.
Will CWM install on it AFTER I do the update if it's available to me? I've seen that the update messes with it if it's already there - but noone's mentioned putting it on there after the fact. I may just go that route for simplicity sake.
Thanks for this!, and thank you all for chiming in with your experience. I feel much better about just getting my hands dirty in it all. I had wrote something to someone yesterday about jumping in and just doing it, but when it comes to dealing with it yourself it can be a daunting task - especially when it still has that new smell, lol. Anyway, thanks again. You guys really rock.
Will stop back later on after I've done my thing
I think they are both nice devices. There are trade off for both of them. I think the screen on the iPad is wonderful, where the gTab's is okay. But the gTab has a forward facing camera, you can print from it, and you can modify it fairly easily too.

Seriously though...trust the directions from the great devs like roebeet. Follow their instructions word for word. You can switch ROMs and then flash back if you want. No worries...
Off topic!
Well...disappointment! Fedex had my package out for delivery at 8am and at 8pm, they're not here. This is why I like UPS, they show up at my door on the day of delivery, no exceptions - they have shown up at almost 9pm before. The Archos 101 I got was sent out at 8am as well but got here at 1:30pm - I suppose that was before the holiday rush.
Checking the details of my tracking I'm seeing a "delivery exception" at 7:30pm (I guess it was time to get back to the facility so they can clock out by 8pm?) and upon calling them I get a somewhat stumbling but polite CS who tells me the delivery went out "late" - upon which I asked if 8am was considered late, especially from a distribution facility WITHIN the same zip code as I am, and all he could say was "Very sorry about this".
Aaaanyway....I guess it will be tomorrow before I can report my adventures.
Think I'll be able to get my $3.99 back from Amazon? I have Prime and with that the package would have come tomorrow anyway. Basically my $3.99 is wasted. Imagine if I didn't have Prime though? Whew.

If you can figure out how to brick it you will probably get an award.. It won't be a good award but probably one of those top ten dumb things people do awards. So far unless you plug the motherboard into a wall socket no one has bricked one. May think they have, but like I said before I doubt it..
And your right.. If it can be done, someone eventually will figure out how. And then we will all laugh at them.. At least I will
I finally got the G tablet tonight and...alright, don't flame me for this - but I don't see what all the complaints about the screen being horrendous or the device being molasses slow are about?
I don't know how people are trying to view it...but when looking at it or setting it on a stand to watch media, I'm not seeing any problem with the viewing angles. It's about the same as my laptop so I watch it the same way.
It's not even a 1/4 as slow as the stuff I've seen on Youtube or in some of the review videos I've seen around the net. I haven't gotten a single FC. Granted, I haven't put in a SD Card yet so maybe problems will start then?
I guess I should note, the very first thing I did was did a factory reset. Then I hooked it up to Wifi and got the 3053 update. I'm one of those who will be waiting for the 'official' update on the 24th.
I set up the time and date, restarted and everything works. I haven't installed flash yet (don't need it that much) and stuff that I DO want on there right now works fine (skype, pandora, fring, dropbox, evernote). I'm slowly figuring out a list of what I want/need from my Mytouch 4G to port to the VS GTab. Figure I don't really NEED Gtalk, Gmail on there because I have these on my phone AND PC - do I really want them making noises all around my home on 3 devices? I was concerned about getting the Google Apps on but now I'm finding I really don't need them. So it seems to me this will be a matter of learning to separate what I need on a tablet vs. my phone - I was of the mentality that I should just get whatever's on my phone on the tablet, this is something others apparently do as they seem to want everything that's on their phone, on their tablets as well.
I personally don't see the point in that. Had I had the Google Market, that would have escaped me as I'd have used Appbrain to just get my motherload of apps from the MT4G to the GTab. Not having it has slowed me, and now I get to re-evaluate before I do grab apps for it.
Now I just have to merge/convert my HTPC into a NAS device as well and find an app that will allow me to DLNA stream media from it and I'll be in mobile heaven.
I haven't had my wifi drop at all anywhere in my home and I've marched all over with it (I use full Wifi N, no G compat. so maybe my range is wider?). Tried email, etc. to replicate crashes and force closes but haven't so far. No surfing issues. I DID find that one app got 'stuck' being downloaded and I had to delete the file before the 'downloading' icon would go away, even after restart.
Maybe the trick to getting a workable GTab in the first place is to factory reset it before first use? Iunno. Things may change and issues may pop up the more I use it and as time passes - but so far, so good!
Again, I can't thank XDA enough for the advice and info. I've found and been given.

You can download it here http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-P3113
Just not sure if it's worth it, and what will happen since I am rooted. It's not a full upgrade to JB which I know I would need to do an FDR for, but just a minor update (which could be leading to JB later on down the road, there have been 2 updated in the last 30ish days, thats usually a good sign, from past device experiences at least lol).
Perhaps HDMI support and/or UMS support for the external sd card? I can dream, can't I...

I love your dreams, and I share those dreams with you too. Let me know if I should buy a lotto ticket, since it would be a nice lucky day.
If it where HDMI support I would suspect we would see an adapter available on Samsung's website for this tablet. Since there is none I'm guessing its something more mundane. However my tab is charging up now in preparation of the update and will let you know as soon as I can.
So I installed the update and right off the bat nothing jumped out at all lol. So I went through to find changes and kinda came up with nothing. I could probably do some more serious digging to find what has been changed. If you have anything you want me to test with it I will just let me know.

That would be the only thing I could want to see to be honest since nothing else has lol. I think it might be a primer update to go to JB in the next month or 2, which means I'll have to go back and update through since I am rooted and shouldn't try to update till unrooted.
Then again I could be 100% wrong, so don't pin hopes on my theory lol.
[Q] Error during boot-up after firmware upgrade: "No certificate to inject".
I updated my firmware to V10.4.2.17 WW manually. My tablet is not rooted or unlocked. The first thing I noticed was that my Transformer 300T now gives some sort of error message in the upper left corner (below the power button) during boot-up, the message is "No certificate to inject". It happens at every boot-up and doesn't seem to give any problems, but I'm curious if other people get it. Also I'm curious what it means exactly.
Any ideas?
Same issue here. I also cannot unlock bootloader or update vía OTA.
Help me too No certificate to inject, a new tablet
Same here, thanks for helping...
Same here:
I waited 2 weeks to see if I was getting it via OTA, ...but nothing, ...not even when manually asking for it via Settings -> Firmware update.
So I decided to go the manual way via the Micro SD card; all went fine BUT, now I have for 5 seconds, every time I boot, the same message:
No certificate to inject
Why ?
Thanks for your help !
Id like to add that I have the same issue with my new tf300t. Only did an update because I wanted to have the latest firmware but I kinda regret it. Has anyone found a solution?
Sent from my Samsung Epig 4G using Tapatalk Pro
Same problem
I have the US version and mine is brand new. The firmware update which was pushed to my tab VIA OTA has rendered it completely useless. I get the error, " no certificate to inject" and it does nothing but crash. If it goes to sleep or if I hit the power button to turn the screen off it will not wake up and I have to long press the power button to reboot. I can't even use it, it's basically a paper weight now. Does anyone have a clue how I can fix this? Should I try to flash the old firmware? If so can someone point me to a link on how to go about it.
I called Asus and they did not want to walk me through flashing firmware. They want to set up an RMA.
I've tried a cold boot, factory reset and data wipe.

Wow that really sucks. If its a paper weight and they offered to do an RMA why wouldnt you? Im still waiting on ASUS to reply to my email! lol. Look it's brand new and its basically a brick. Unless they can give you a solution thats easy i would just go through the return process.
edit: they emailed back saying that doesnt sound right and to do a factory reset. While i knew that wouldnt fix it i did it anyhow since i didn't have much data to lose. Long story short they want to RMA mine as well. Ugh.
RMA
So yep I sent it in for RMA, Very disappointing that and update did this to my brand new tab.

same here, dont feel so bad. It sucks.
So I got it back today from RMA and guess what? On the very first start up it still says no certificate to inject. Unreal, why didn't they correct this? It seems like the only thing they did was flash the old firmware back. Now my tablet is asking me to update and I don't want to because the last time it turned it into a pile of crap.

They want me to RMA it again. I wish I never bought this thing. It seems to be working fine, but I have a bad feeling about letting it do the firmware update.
Why didn't they fully update it when they had it? Also are they blind? It's completely obvious the error message is still there during boot up and I was very specific about it.

apparently they ARE blind. The message is quite easy to see when you turn it on. To be honest i wish i never did the firmware update when i first got it for Xmas. Thats when this all started for me. I'll let you know what happens with mine so you can either hate me or feel a little better knowing my predicament.
HAHAHA, I hope your doesn't have the error. Now I don't want to do the firmware update, because I know what happened last time. But on the other hand what am I supposed to do, never update my tablet ever again?
Would I even be able to skip the firmware update but still take any OS update they may push in the future?
The RMA is good for 30 days so I think I'm going to see what happens. It seems perfectly fine right now, no issues with it not waking back up.
Ok little update, it still has the error message, but is working very well. It's reading my SD card (which it didn't before) and no issues with it waking back up. I also ran the update and all seems fine. I'm going to mess around with it for the next few days and see if misbehaves. If it works perfectly fine and still has the message then so be it, I'm not going to send it back in.

Well i got it back shockingly no error message anymore but i also notice it wasn't factory restored. No problem i did that myself. Of course it downloaded the firmware update and wants to install which i chose NOT to. Not sure if and when i will decide to do it. lol. How annoying.

Well I ran the update, and it seems perfectly fine. I wish they had cleared up the error message, but I've been going at the thing all day and it seems perfect. They gave me a new RMA, but if it continues to run perfectly I'll just take that as a win.
I unfortunately am having the same problem..
I have gone through 2 tablets now at Best Buy.. The first one went from stock to .20 release and started getting the error.. So I get another one.
I figure that I'll be smart now and I have 2 other TF300's and the one that I had previoiusly all had no issues.. So I figure I will update to the previous release first..
Now I'm getting the message..
It did download the latest release but when it goes to install the OTA it fails.. EXTREMELY frustrating.. A TOTAL waste of my time.. I really want to kill myself right now.
Anyway... I'll manually update to the latest version and maybe pick a different Best buy..
I of course also put my Armor Shild on this one because I figured there was no way that I got two doing this in a row..
Yeah.. 40 bucks down the drain.. .I will call Asus and make some tech supports ears bleed tomorrow.. Yeah I know it's not his fault but.. well it's his fault.
Any new info on this?
Hello everyone, just got back into tech toys and having time to play around etc. Anyway got the same error after OTA update, also Keyboard spacebar does nothing anymore and the mouse pad doesn't work at all either. Looked online everywhere and figured if there was an answer for this it would be in these forums and haven't found one. Had to make a new account on here and haven't had the time to mess with anything in a while so it's all new to me again. Any help would be great, kinda scared to try anything after reading so many different ways to brick this thing- have an email in to asus, 3 acually, and no responses back on any of them and it's been months..thanks for any info - really want to unlock/root/recover and try some of these awesome looking ROMS but am stuck with this error and no response back from asus.
So today(5-15) I saw online that T-Mobile USA released the 5.1.1 OTA for there branded Galaxy S6/S6 Edge, so any info on when the Verizon branded version is coming out? I'm having multiply major bugs(wifi, memory, and lagging) across 3 different S6 devices(original device and 2 replacements) since launch day. Also, the Verizon Branded OTA that just came out brought me new bugs like with Google voice to text giving me 2 new bugs and making it unusable. Also, apps are freezing like crazy and ends up freezing the whole phone and when I try to lock the phone with the power button when an app is freezing it opens up the camera instead of locking the phone and most of the time I have to restart the phone when this happens and it happens quite often, but only started after the Verizon OTA. Also, from launch day(across all 3 devices) I been having memory issues with the phone, it tells me it has between 1GB-1.2GB of total memory on the phone and I only have 748MB total available with only very few apps on the phone at the moment, everything closed and all the bloatware gone off the phone. I herd that the Verizon OTA we just got was suppose to fix the memory issue, but apparently for me it did nothing at all with the memory on my phone. and lastly I'm having the major wifi bug a lot of us are having witch for me started on the 6th day after launch and never worked again even after I had 3 different devices and still the same thing is still ongoing, and in fact the Verizon OTA we just got made the wifi bug even worst then before.
So the 5.1.1 OTA is really needed for me to fix these ongoing and new bugs I'm having and after 2 months I'm getting sick and tired of waiting for patches to come out!
You probably should go into your system recovery and clear cache. That will probably help a majority of your bugs.

I already did that and nothing changed at all, and like I said I had 3 different devices and nothing changed at all. In fact the 3rd device I got which I still have was giving me problems from very first time I turned it on and during the initial setup as soon as I turned it on from the FedEx box and the keyboard was slow and not putting the letters I clicked in the box and to click next/skip, restart or power off I had to use my pointer finger and press multiple times and fast like a woodpecker would on a tree in order for those functions to respond, and before I can even finish the initial setup I had to already do a factory reset on the phone. Even typing right now in this box responding to you the phone is lagging just typing now.
Don't think Verizon has announced anything yet. The current G920VVRU1A0E2 works fine for me.
To help with keyboard lag - go into settings and make sure the proper language is intalled and updated. Have you tried different keyboards? Swiftkey?

Well 3 different phones since launch day have been giving me all different kinds of problems and never had a device with out a major problem in it and the new Verizon OTA that just came out in June made the phone even worst then before. The Build for the update is G920VVRU1A0E2, and in fact I even had problems getting the update on my phone because from launch day of the OTA-4days after it came out the OTA would not fully download and give me error code 503 and it wasn't until the 5th day that it worked and then when I finally got it installed on my phone it just brought more bugs to the phone like I talked about in the OP

Have you tried using Odin to flash back to stock with the full tar file instead of the update? If not go here and give it a shot. If you use the OE2 one you will have to factory data reset to wipe your phone clean either after or before you flash.

yea I tired that, but this started as soon as I turned on my phone for the very 1st time trying to do the initial set up, plus like I said even pressing next/skip, power off or reset in the initial setup was a hassle. I had to take my pointer finger and point it down and press fast and many times like a woodpecker in order for the buttons functions to work and I could not even finish the initial setup and had to already do a factory reset before the initial setup was even finished on the 3rd device I have now. The phone is so bad that even clicking the home button some of the apps, Google search and weather is not on screen right away and takes second or 2 to show up, its lagging to show up.

3 different devices and still the same exact major things plus new things on each device are going on with the phone. Switching out the device should fix it all, but I guess this is not the case here. Plus about the wifi issues I'm in a XDA forum 13 pages long about the phones wifi not working(I know it says edge, but it's the same problems with the S6 and S6 edge so no difference)

They already said that the new update(5.1.1) is taking away root
My 1st phone which arrived on Sat came with G920VVRU1A0E2 out of the box.
Other than normal setups, and uninstalling Google Play Services and Google Play it has not had any problems.
Perhaps you should go into a store and show them how it is not working?

I did on launch day, I went back to the same corporate store a few hours later and got into a fight with the sales rep who sold me the phone a few hours earlier and the store GM because they were Ignorant because my phone was hot as fuc k at 90F and hotter and they said nothing was wrong. On top of that they even lied to me about having the edge devices in stock on launch day and even pulled out the normal S6 trying to trick me and it was not until I said something did he say oh this is not an edge and then said there was no edge's in stock, but while I was waiting in line I asked him and 2 other reps and they all said they had the white 64GB edge in stock. They rather lie to there customers to make a sale then tell the truth(at least this corporate store location), and then when you have problems with the phone they don't care to help you at all. Even 611 said this was very wrong and made a complaint on mine and 611's behalf on the corporate store and the sales rep.

Here is an update, as of recently my phone is getting really really hot and temperatures of 120F+ and even Verizon technical support saw that through their diagnostic system as it was actually on those temperatures at that very moment when they were looking. Also, from me just being tech savvy and Verizon technical support confirming it as well this phone is also supposed to have a safeguard in the phone and if it gets too hot the device is upposed to power off on its own, but apparently the safeguard is not working because when the phone gets very hot the battery starts flashing and in the middle of the screen it tells me the phone is very hot and it only lets me click OK. If I'm charging the phone the battery flashes and say the same thing but just adds unable to charge, & I can unplug the charger and immediately plug it back in to the phone and it will start charging again and then a few minutes later it will give me the same message. When it's doing that its not supposed to tell me anything it's supposed to just shut off and its not doing so.
So there overheating policy states that I have to bring my phone too a corporate store and they're going to replace the device right on spot. So Sunday I went to the corporate store to do that, but for some reason their system wouldn't allow them to process this because it didn't have an option to do it and the general manager and the store representative we're booth trying together for at least 45 minutes. They ultimately ended up just sending me a replacement device via Fedex to my house and when the phone arrives today(7-2) I have to bring the overheating device that I currently have to the store so they can do what they need to do to send it back because by law I'm not allowed to send an overheating device back. Verizon corporate store processed my order on Sunday and I was supposed to get the device on Tuesday but I'm getting it today due to inclement weather at the FedEx Memphis Tennessee hub and so Fedex at the Memphis Tennessee hub was at a complete standstill and my package was part of it.
Once I get my 4th replacement device and start using it for a while I will let you know how it's working
Hi all
I have buy this Smartphone for a Month.
First time was all good.
Im a Truck driver, and I use this Phone via Hdmi cable with a 27" Monitor. This 'Ready For' feature was a good option for Netflix, and Amazon Prime. (For Gaming not so good, very less Game support a joystick...)
I live in Europe ( Germany)
The phone installed automatically 2 or 3 little software update. 20-30 Mb.
Now secondary Display don't supported anymore with Netflix, Prime.
I have installed a old Netflix Apk, but don't help
Maybe problem is a software update.
Can I install a Stock original firmware?
Try a factory reset. Sorry.
You can reflash to firmware that's compatible with the bootloader version.
It's the fifth digit from the end of both numbers (at least on Samsung's) You can't go to firmware version with a lower significant number.
If the update upgraded the boot loader your locked to it.
It wasn't a major update so you probably still can reflash to the original firmware.
Disable updates in the future though... you see why now.

Your going to have to hunt that firmware down.
I'm not familiar with that manufacturer. Get the right version though...
Maybe your carrier (whoever provided the problem update) will help.
Dig through settings, permissions etc.
Generally if you play with it and look for the answer long enough, you'll find it.
My bt went nuts the other day after a network reset. Never did that before. Took me about a hour of playing with the phone to restore it. Still not sure exactly what did... whatever.
Play with it... Androids wuv attention
