I have recently lost my ring lock screen on my Sensation.The phone is not rooted so it is just running android 2.3.4 and sense 3.0. I would like to get the screen back as the lock is a safeguard for preventing the phone from constantly becoming active in my pocket. Any ideas what might have happened and how to get the lock screen function back
Do a factory reset and I bet you will get it all back.

Is there anyway to put a shortcut into that vacant middle spot in the rotary lock screen that comes with S7 for the Infuse?

How come the notification bar is accessible while the phone is on the lock screen? Is this part of ICS or something HTC did? I am using stock lock screen with no password. Any way to disable this?
The notification pane is available when the phone is locked, but not while it is locked and secured. If you want to stop this, put a pin/pattern lock on (which you should have anyway...)
This is a feature of ICS.
This is about the 12th Android phone I have had.. the other 11 did not allow pulling down of the notification pane when on the lock screen, whether there was a security pin or not.

A nice feature, at that. Recently noticed it myself. Running ICS AOKP on my old old Evo. Will be getting a one x variant (Evo 4g lte on sprint) in about 2wks (release day).

It's an ICS feature.
Can this "feature" be diabled. My phone keeps on getting unlocked and changing settings while in my pocket but I don't want to have a pin?

Has this Question been answered. I am having the same problem. I do not want a PIN or Dots, only the "Swipe" while locked. And while Docked, the Volume Buttons, and the Notification Bar can be dealt with, which allows accidental settings to be changed on the Lock screen.
I have found "Volume Locker" to control the volume, to always have it set to High no matter the volume keys inputs, and now am looking to disable the notification bar while on the Lock Screen.
Any help would be great, how is this not an option inside of Sense.
Hello I am not sure at all what cause this problem but no matter what I do I cannot get my phone to have a lock screen. In fact I can't even to get it to slide in the beginning it just boots into my home screen and if I turn the screen on and off it goes straight back to the homescreen without me having to unlock anything. I've gone into the settings and made multiple types of passwords but none of them show up when I turn my screen on then off. I'm running paranoid android and any help would be nice

bumpity bump bump bump. I need to know how to disable slide unlock and keep the pattern lock. it's driving me insane
Some phones have a setting to "show unlock screen before/after pin screen" It sounds like you don't have this setting though
I would suggest flashing to a custom rom? which will either not have the same issue, or have a setting to switch slide screen off
Is there an exact reason as to WHY he would want that...? It probably wastes .5 seconds of his life to slide the slider across
