I live in the Android world but I still dabble in the WinMo world when I get a chance to be on my windows box. If someone would make a WinMo kitchen for Linux, I would probably still be building for my Touch Pro2 & Touch Pro.

Thats cool....still use my TP2 as a pda basically...havent cooked a winmo rom in months...I wasnt gonna bother cooking at all for the evo, but Im starting to get the itch lol

This should be fairy easy as Desire hd has already been ported in the past.

That's because this is a Test Build for the HTC Desire HD. It didn't need ported, they could just flash the PD98IMG without any modification.

I hope someone is porting this ROM, shouldn't be horrendous, but who knows, since the other DHD ports were 2.2 and we had 2.2 already so i'm sure that made it easier.

Sorry I forgot to keep you guys updated. I got this ported and booting but some things are broken. Once I fix them I will release it. Give me about 1 day. Androidball gave me the base port. Thank him

lol why bother when you have muc better roms here, for example Sense 2.1+2.0 mix from Baadnewz, or RCMix, and coolexe and damo are working on sense 3 ROMs, all of them already have gb 2.3.3 or 2.3.4...
It's my personal opinion, but even if they updated to 2.3.4 I would have a custom ROM on my phone... Why not be original?

Oho, what a surprise
Oh well i'not jealous anyway, Oxygen is good enough, so close to stock that it's probably even better then the buggy port they would have fed us with. The only thing i'd want from google is launcher and a browser rewritten so that they can use our gpu...other than that any update sounds quite pointless to me.
If we're not getting any "revelations" about that coming to ics (and then i SEE it working with my own eyes, because they LIED about 3.0 getting it), then wp7 here i come babe...

For those asking : "Why so interested in the official update ?"
Our great Devs will take it, and then modd it, it'll be SO fast, as like everything is perfect, then a custom kernel, then a DAMN GREAT ROM....

You guys are awesome. I am so happy that people with know-how are still around for heroc. You guys make this phone awesome enough to tide me over until next spring/summer when I can get whatever is the best after April (my 22 months). Thanks again. Any idea on partition sizes yet for firerats? I'm like a kid before Christmas waiting for a new rom to try!

When I get back to my dorm and update the ROM all Hero CDMA users will need to be using the newest radio. The .29 radio. I can link all that stuff when I get back and update.
Edit: Actually I could make it work for the .27 radio too

Well, we are working off a chinese build by idogx for the chinese version of the hero cdma which boots on our phones without any changes. You can port if you want that's no problem with us just also give credit to idogx for the initial booting port.

Don't worry, he will fix it when he has the time, Please don't rush him.

Just had a brief test and the back facing camera had a little problem tho.
The screen is totally black and can't see a thing but front facing one is ok. If I take a snapshot the camera crashes.

ICS code will be completely diffrent from GB. Then while porting cynogen mod of ICS do we still have to face problems that time also (like broken camera)...?

I wouldn't say completely different.
But if i'm not able to get the camera on gingerbread working, i'll not work on ICS for this phone. Waste of time...

Also in all samsung android devices is galaxy I9003 is the most unlucky device or are there some similar examples of devices exists which face unsuccessful camera porting in CM7...?

amit is on vacations.
i'm sure he'll help, but he's a beginner on cm.
if i look at the stuff he has done, it reminds me of my first attempts. ;-)
don't know if there are any devices out. there are not much developers on samsung phones. every phone we've done is running fine, but we never ported a low activity device like i9003.

really samsung has messed with our phone. They have given strong hardware support but bad complex coding has messed everything. Amit has really great knowledge of kernal coding. He also tried alot differents stuffs related to kernal such as overclocking. But he always failed like skin in getting a stable overclock kernal. They are also frustrated because they never come to know what was missing or messed in kernal codes.
I am sure that if Amit give more time for developement to u then ur both effort's will do some magic.

I know someone wanted to create a unofficial update but that failed messirably
Then the only rom I know with even the tinyest hint of update would be g,lorious overdose 4.2 if it gets released..

The only way ICS will end up on the SK4G is when bhundven finishes his work. There is no ETA so do not ask...lol.

To get the secret update, you have to score a million points in SnowBored. Next, use your developer's code and type "I<3RozHo" in the console. Enjoy.

Bhundaven (the only dev working on a true unofficial ginger kernel for this phone that i know of) would have blared a trumpet call to all the SK4G forums if he was done trying to create a GINGERBREAD kernel for a true ginger rom. We're not at ICS yet, but give it time. (as stated above)

As far is I know, CM7 is always multilingual. At least yes, there is Russian language. Но зачем?

More Locale only partially translates standart ROM, that is not a problem, but I would like to see the ROM, which completely support russian language.
