I have been looking around and have not been able to find an app that will make my phone into a wireless headset. I dont just mean for music but any and all sounds the pc makes. If anyone has any ideas please post!
I always use this, perfect for Remote viewing and Audio ...there's a lite version too for testing first.
Hope its a start anyway

hey guy,
I'm having problems getting this thing to work properly, i've searched and searched and can't seem to find anyone else with this problem:
Device pairs fine and seems to function perfectly as a handsfree, however, using media player the audio comes out of the phone even as the 'click' sound effects are coming out the headset! Can't seem to get any audio from media player or core player to come out the headset, the 'htc streaming media player' uses the headset but you can't open files etc using that.
I've tried with WM5 and WM6, same results.
Anyone faced this problem before?
Hi
I've just purchased this headset last week and am thoroughly impressed by it so far. There's not much info on it out there but theres a few characteristics I've found out about this headset; i wonder if you can help me confirm them.
- It seems like when you take the headset off your head it automatically turns off? at first I thought mine was faulty but this behaviour was quite consistent and I figured it was just a power saving feature.
- seems like it likes to turn by itself if idle quite fast.
- need to manually set the device as hands free for it to actually work as a hands free
- unable to use the mic when connecting to pc. I wanted to use it for my sip client on the pc but alas the microphone function doesn't register? What should I be doing to make this work?
In regards to your problem; I'll outline the steps I take to use mine.
1. turn on headset
2. turn on trinity bluetooth from comm manager
3. go to bluetooth settings from settings
4. touch and hold down the nokia bh501 item until the drop down menu appears ,then select "set as wireless audio" or similar
--> you should hear a sound, if you can hear this then it will work, if theres nothing
--> alternatively, select hands free if you want to use it as hands free!
5. open your favorite mp3's and it should work fine.
Does this work for you? Btw im using Mun's TE wm6 rom. What rom are u using?
Eureka!
Your post made me realise I had only tried the headset with AAC files and not MP3 and guess what? The headset only works with MP3 files! Although this is probably a limitation of the trinity.
I can also confirm it doesn't work with nerodigital video files.
I'm using the GPS enabled WM5 Ship ROM.
I'll do some more tests on different media files, it would be a real shame if we're limited to only MP3s...
EDIT: Wow the sound quality is amazing and the bass is fantastic!
I haven't tried playing AAC files because I haven't got any...I specifically converted all my formats so I could use GS player. I'm pretty sure the headset can play WMA as well..I haven't really tested...
The next thing I notice is this constant high pitch ringing or hissing sound...It's very uncomfortable.
I've seen reports of this all over the forum in regards to the Triity, let's hope there is a fix available soon.
wma file work.
i have wm6 and a motorola ht820 and it works great. the only thing is that the perfomance of the trinity decrease while i'm using the bluetooth-headset.

Ive been searching around but can't seem to find any apps that would do this. seems to me like it would be quite simple to do. anyone know o something similar to able to quickly put something together?
Main reason at the moment is that i currently have a long wire diagonaly across my room to connect my laptop to my speakers. I just thorght it would be realy good if i could plug my phone into my speakers and then send music to it via bluetooth. Im sure other people have been in this situation where an audio cable has not quite been long enough. I have also discovered that many people have TVs supporting bluetooth headsets who would love to be able to listen through their phone.
there is wifi option: twonkys media server. or xmbc which i have been pointed to however I have discovered I am unable to connect to the wireless due to security issues. battery life would also suffer more.
any thorghts on this?
Been a while, but did you have any luck?
I'm looking for a way to deploy my WinMo phone as a Bluetooth Audio Sink, i.e. receiving stereo music on it & relaying that through either its speaker or connected headphone.
Hi All,
Is there a way to make my Android phone (whatever it is) as an bluetooth headphone/headset?
I'll try to explain it in other words. I want for example route all my PC AUDIO STREAM (IN/OUT) to my Android via Bluetooth and manage it from Android.
So the end configuration would be an Android as an headset able to stream the audio from Android's Mic to my PC and to receive an audio from PC.
Same thing as between two Android Phones.
I mean, when i'm receiving a call, it would be nice to forward that call to another Android phone via bluetooth because the other Android phone will be like a Bluetooth headset.
I'll really appreciate all kind of suggestions.
Thanks
Francesco
i was actually thinking of the same idea last night..but i couldnt find any app that could stream audio from my pc to the phone..
may be i didnt searched enough?
I am also searching for something like this.
Did you find an app that could do it?
I did some searching both online and in the market myself and couldn't find anything related to these purposes. I would like an app for this so that I can lay in bed and watch a movie without disturbing others with the audio. I could just listen to headphones through my Droid X.
The most likely software developer to develop something like this, and has yet to make any smartphone appearances is Soundflower. I love Soundflower on my mac and it makes so much sense that they would develop an app for something like this.
i'm looking for app that will enable my phone to call(and make conversations) trough other phone via bluetooth.did anybody come across such app?
Hi, digging up, I was looking for this kind of feature to watch movies fullscreen VLC on my desktop computer from my bed, without having to buy meters of extra headphone cable or a wireless headphones.
I came accross Jamcast which uses wifi network instead, but it's much too complicated, laggy, and expensive shareware.
Bluetooth is the way to go, but we need to be able to use android as a bluetooth headset.
Anyone got news ?
I'm also interested with doing this. Found any app for this purpose?
I've searched for a while, and found none.
BUMP. this could save me from buying expensive headset which can't even last 1 day!!!
Someone custom-implemented the needed Bluetooth role
It looks like some Android device has custom implementations of both A2DP sink role and HFP hands free unit role. I can't post links yet. Google this:

I cant find any info on successfully accessing the audio hidden menu.
I have a problem that when I use a 3rd party music player and google navigation at the same time (i play the sound through the car stereo) then the volume of the navigation directions is reduced to almost zero when a headset/lead to car stereo is plugged into the headphone socket.
I've had a really goof look around and the fix mentioned in post 8 here looks to be the most educated and likely fix that I cant try as I cant find out how to access the hidden menu which leads to the audio tuning menu mentioned.
Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated

Bump.
I'm having this problem too. The only way I know that I'm coming up to a turn is that the music goes quiet for a few seconds.
This problem seems well documented across most phone platforms but fixes are few and far between, with most either waiting for an android or navigation update to fix the problem.
From my testing it shows that the problem only occurs when the 3.5mm head phone jack is being used so it seems sensible to try and access the volume control to control how the phone outputs audio to the jack for different apps.
Trouble is I cant - does anyone know how to access these hidden menus or perhaps just edit a config file or suchlike with the phone?
Thanks

This problem also occurs over bluetooth audio. I've tested it on the BT Audio in my car and my Jaybird bluetooth headphones.

hi guys, just wanted to share, i had been quite bothered with bugs like these... and have been searching the web for a long time... i found a solution apparently (cant remember the site name... but some official google guys replied or something) said that u need to check ur phone tts (text to speech) settings to make sure google tts is selected
apparently, if u are using things like v-lingo or samsung powerewd by v-lingo, it becomes soft... i tested this out... was very very surprised.. apparently it got way louder.
before this i tried a volume booster which did nothing but waste space on my phone. oddly ppl swear by those apps, all i could do was swear at it...
anyway.. enough rambling... hope this fixes ur issues
I tried to do it my self but i failed, thought i'd put it as a challenge for someone if its possible or maybe if someone has already done it and maybe willing to share?
I've bought Logitech H600 headphones and it comes with microphone and a Bluetooth usb connector.
The problem i ran into is weird but i bet many of us would have gone through it before or probably somewhere been fixed but as i am not aware of where about thus thought to make a thread here to share with all.
Microphone & headphones works with computer and doesn't have any problem in making calls through skype and other apps using computer.
The real problem is with the phone..
1: The headset works perfectly it does connect with Phone and plays MEDIA files through headphones without any problem.
BUT!
2: it doesn't direct calls even though it has microphone, where i dont understand why would it work on PC and not on phone even though it does have headphones and microphone, is it possible to work things out for this like writing small script or an app to fix this issue some how?
I'd love to know if any of you guys have ran into this and have problem with this and dont want to lose the beloved headset...
Cheers in advance for all those who reply and try to resolve this issue.
still looking.
