I am using Google Sync on my device to be able to get push mail and I have set my personal email account to foreword mails to my gmail ID.
I get mails on my Xperia X1 using google sync instantly and also sending is fine.
But I want to change the 'reply to' address so that i can get replies to my personal email address.
Anybody can help?

can anyone help?
Have been using my Captivate since Sunday. I've loaded up some apps and am really liking the unit. However, the email client (not Gmail) does not appear to support inbound or outbound html support. Did I miss something? Is there a better email client for POP3 use?
Hi,
I have a strange setup for my email. My main address is using exchange, all my email from various email accounts get forwarded to the exchange account, then the filters shove everything into the appropriate folders.
I am using Touchdown Exchange for my email.
One of the email accounts I use requires me to reply from a work address (which I can access via Pop3 or Imap). So at this point I use Touchdown for my exchange & if a message from work comes in, I go to the stock (I use CM7) email app & grab the message from Imap & reply from there.
Is there a better than stock email app? I know of enhanced mail (which I tried) & I have heard of K9 but not used it.
I am looking for something that when I flash a new rom, I dont need to re-enter my server information each time.
The stock app & enhanced mail both require me to set everything up from stock. Ti backup doesnt seem to be able to save the data in a restore'able fashion.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rich
I thought it was GB native feature to enable "push" for any IMAP accounts...
Is there a way enable it in default email client?
Hi,
I´m using the inbuild mail app with an POP3-account, Z5 is stock ROM. When I delete an email on the Z5, the mail is also deleted on the server.
But when I delete an email on the server (e.g. via webmail or when I download them with my desktop client), the mails aren´t deleted on the Z5.
Is there any solution or workaround for this?
IMAP is not available, and I don´t want to use another mail app.
Thanks!
Greetings,
Philip
Hi
I don't think there is any work around, it's just how POP3 works.
POP3 is really designed for use on one client, where the client downloads and removes the mail from the server. It then becomes the only device with that email. There is a function that allows the email to be left on the server, so another device could also collect it, but all devices are totally separate.
As you seem to indicate, IMAP sounds like the solution, or activesync, where the email is kept on the server, and you effectively work with a mirrored copy of those emails on your device.
If you are working with your own domain, get Gmail to collect the email, alias your current email address, and then make use of their activesync capabilities.

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
From my HTC I used before I know, that this "feature" worked - so I expected this from the new Xperia
Lets see, maybe there´s a fix in an update...
