Can integrate a Master Lock logo or Visitor lock on the status bar. That would be much better.
Great apps dude. I love it.

Downloaded this app today and it works like a charm on my HTC Thunderbolt (Root with Liquid Thundersense v1.4)
Thanks for making an awesome and useful app!!!
downloading to try now... thanks man
This is such a great app, I love it. Brilliant concept and a simple design make it perfect.
If I had any suggestion it would be a widget to quickly toggle or an optional icon/toggle in the notification bar. Specific folders in the gallery (or specific folders in general) too as I don't mind people viewing most of my videos or pictures but I'm not all that innocent lol
Maybe if you're feeling really adventurous in the future a way to activate this remotely, either by text or PC would be imressive but now I'm just getting ahead of things.
It's wonderful how it is
Desire HD: Leedroid 3.0.3
This was exactly what i have been wanting for such a long time, thnk you!!!
Very nice app, runs great on Desire CM7
A cool feature to add could be the option to exclude apps from the drawer when in visitor mode, and also to hide/lock specific folders in gallery and SD-card
I've tried a few apps like this, and so far this is the only one that works properly. Thumbs up from O2X / MCR!
Probably the most useful app ever. Visitor/Master mode is rely a good feature that you've got right.
Congrats on a great app!
Awesome thanks! I used another one but it was really iffy, especially when locking the gallery. Sometimes after unlocking it wouldn't show the pictures or allow the camera to function. I love the Visitor/Master mode. Nice work!
Seems to work great!
I do have a question tho, isn't there supposed to be a gesture option to lock/unlock, Im only seeing the numeric and pattern...am I missing something? Either way seems to work really good so far, well done!
Great app!
I've had friends post embarrassing status updates on my Facebook page before. This should stop that from happening again.
My suggestion is changing the Master/Visitor icon a little bit, because it doesn't line up well with other icons.
Other than that, great work!
Great app - bought the app from the Market
Love it! Thanks!
Maybe I''m misunderstanding the setting, but 'permanently locked' and 'single locked' seem to be mixed up? Single makes us enter the password in each time using the app. Not a huge problem tho, awesome app.
Excellent App, this is what I had been looking for these days .. Thanks for the app
Very good, love it!
just found this app via xoomforums.com. ive got App Lock Free installed on my Xoom and i think i found a bug. it works great, i have the widget on my home screen and anytime i try and access of of the locked apps, i have to put in my pattern. the problems comes when i put my xoom on standby. when i pull it out of standby, the widget still says visitor mode, but when i press on one of the locked apps, it opens right away, no pattern needed. however, if i press on the app lock widget, the pattern request pops up. if i hit cancel, and then try to open one of the locked apps, the pattern request reappears. it seems the app is not activating when the xoom comes back from being on standby until you press the widget. did that make sense?
my xoom is unlocked and rooted with cybertronics 1.4 p8 kernel if that makes any difference.

Really works and it does so fast, clean and easy. I think it's the only app available on the Play Store that actually does this WITHOUT breaking the apps.
GREAT JOB!
Wish the UI was cleaner, based on ICS design elements.
Thanks!

Works great. Just one thing, when I tried to hide SIM Toolkit, it makes my phone lose the signal n when it got the signal back, SIM Toolkit appear again on my app drawer.

Guess I must be doing something wrong...?
Great idea, this app!
However, I don't get the option to "hide" a particular item...
All it offers for me - when long-pressing an app - is "Clear data", "Freeze" or "Uninstall"...
What am I doing wrong/missing?

The freeze option would allow you to hide all icons and completely disable an app but this probably isn't what you want...
Short press the app to transition into the "Details" view at which point you'll see a list of icons associated with the application. Short press the icons you want to show/hide to check them and then click the "Show/Hide Icon(s)" button to process the operation.
After hiding/showing icons some launchers will require you to reboot before they actually show/hide.
I've installed it and when I run it, It asks for root permissions, which I click allow, but then the app just sits there with the spinning circle and "Asking for root permissions" It's been like that for about 10min so I think it's stuck

Haven't seen/heard of this before. My first suggestion would be to exit out and retry. If that doesn't work you can PM me here or email [email protected] (better option since it dings my phone ) and I'll try and help you resolve it.

I had the same problem here. I restartet the Device and it works now.
this is awesome, i've been looking for something like this since ditching non-stock launchers. Question, will uninstalling undo anything I hid? or do i need to do this before uninstalling to prevent apps from permanently being hidden? I also noticed that hiding the icons this way prevents them from showing up when searching on the Evo.

This application modifies system settings to hide the icons or freeze applications. They will continue to be hidden/frozen after uninstalling so you should unhide them first or reinstall the application when you need to restore them.
I installed this because it sounded like it would hide the icons but still let me use the apps. I spent about 10 minutes going through my apps and hiding them.
I hid my Apex launcher and after I exited the app the system freaked the **** out going to a few other apps and then finally the default CM9 launcher when I hit the home key.
Also it doesn't highlight everything I check to be hidden in blue. So I had to go through and unhide everything just to be safe, taking another 10 minutes to sort through my app list trying to remember what I ticked off. Around 500 apps, not fun.

Technically it disables the Activity associated with the icon which does in fact make it unusable while hidden. Beyond a launcher with the capability to hide icons this is the only way to do it.

For most launchers this would be fine as separate Activities are created for the "Settings" and "Launcher" functionalities. Unfortunately this is not the case with Apex launcher and I sent them an email a while back suggesting a change.
In general care should be taken while hiding launchers and system apps (titles in red). Maybe I should do something more than just the red text to indicate caution should be taken. Maybe a warning prompt with an option to disable it for those that like to live dangerously ;-)

Hmm I haven't heard of this issue but will definitely look into it. The Activities (icon rows) are not cached and are loaded when you enter the details screen so they should represent the current state (ie: blue = hidden).
In the next few days I'll be putting out an updated release that will contain filtering which would have made it easier to locate what you hid. Sorry for your troubles.
Just uploaded version 1.0.5. Only change is to filter Apex Launcher from the list of available applications since it doesn't like being hidden. As always shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll be more than happy to help.
I assume that pretty much any launcher is going to react the same way if it's the active launcher and you're hiding it.
Anyway thanks for the quick response.
Looking for an app that allows me to hide an app (Lets call it "Q") from the system, maybe in such a way that it doesnt appear to be installed either, is this possible? (i have root).
And I also want to password protect Q, all password protectors i find just popup a screen with a enter password-request whenever Q is opened, but Q is very clearly visible with its contents on the multitasking menu of the Galaxy S5, and this isnt good enough.
Its would also be a bonus if the app will not allow itself to be un-installed.
I want real security on this application. Military style. Willing to pay for it.
Does anyone have any tips?
As for app locking, I'd highly recommend AppLocker. Very secure, very reliable, just plain good all around.
As for app hiding, I'm not aware of any apps that do this. However, if you'd like to have it available on your homescreen, many custom launchers (like ADW) offer app shortcut label and icon changing. For example, I use ADW Launcher with the Minimalist theme, and I have my email app password-protected and labelled "Light Bulb" with an illuminated light bulb as the custom icon.
Hope this helps! And if it does, don't forget a thanky!
Get Hide it pro from play store. It has an option to hide apps using root and it won't even show up under Apps in settings.

Unfortunately AppLocker is the first app i tried out. This just pops up a window infront of the screen whenever it notices that Q is open, but it doesnt really help when the recent apps list is up, all the contents are easily visible from the menu :/
When it comes to hiding Q, I was hoping i could make it dissapear from the "Installed applications" list in settings->Applications menu.
If someone steals the phone from me, they are not supposed to be able to find out that this particular app is installed.
Its already hidden from app drawer and is password protected. But if anyone checks the list of actually installed applications, it shows up there, and it also shows up in recent apps list. I want it to vanish
I found this app yesterday, and I love it.
It is like pie controls for your unrooted Note 4.
One hand, one swipe access to recent tasks and people, favorite apps and toggles.
It works flawlessly and looks cool as well. Check it out. It's free.
Lazy swipe, ONE HAND and ONE SWIPE,do whatever you want!
Slide out the "Lazy Swipe" from your screen's left or right bottom corner in any situation, you could:
1. Find and open your most frequently used applications without any settings;
2. Find and open your newly installed or recently used application, no longer need to scrolling in your many application list;
3. Switch on and off the commonly used general settings, such as wifi, bluetooth, flashlight etc...
Since this is my first post, I can't post the link to the Play Store for it, or a review of it that led me to it in the first place, but it's "Lazy Swipe".
Loving it! Thanks!
Nice! Thanks for posting!

Super super slow app
I have tried it on z1 compact running cm12.
They changed the name to Omni Swipe. About to try it now.
EDIT: I'm loving this app. I don't even flip screens much anymore. Very easy to use. Thanks.
you know pie launcher can be ran on stock phones now too
so you dont need to be root just sayin
Has anyone using Omni Swipe been having any network issues when trying to download a theme through the app settings? Lately, every time I try to download my favorite theme, or search for a new one, it keeps telling me there's something wrong with my network when everything else is working fine. All I want to do is reapply the 'Hola Awakens' theme I have on my Tab 3, which is also having the same network issue using the same app, but I can't find the install location for Omni. If I could find it, I could probably just copy the theme there. Anyway, the rest of the app works fine, aside from that pesky network thing. Any thoughts?
Hi gang,
I've got an old android device running CM11 that I'm using mainly as an alarm clock.
I'd like to be able to run only the clock app (Gentle Alarm) .... and then if I want to use any other apps like email or whatever, I'd have to unlock the device.
A lock screen widget doesn't quite cut it, as I'd like the full functionality of the alarm clock app (or actually, *any* app I select, for that matter) available, but as soon as I click the home or back button, I'd be taken to my lock screen.
I could see this feature being useful for lots of reasons... say if I had a tablet as a remote control for the TV/stereo that guests could use, yet i didn't want them running other games or apps.
Is this possible?
Am I off my rocker?
So much easier than I thought..... Using CM12+ (Lollipop) I can "pin" an app which will enable it to be the only app which can run - switching to another app or going home presents the user with the lock screen. Perfect.
I feel like a bit of an idiot not realizing this was a built-in feature of the OS. But hopefully this info will help someone else along the way.........
Note: the app is not under active development anymore.

Please Rate this app on Play store, thanks so much!
If you have suggestion or feedback, please let me know.
Please join this community then folow the link in the sticky post to help me test new feature, thanks!
Some issues:
Accessibility service can cause lag on some device when use Chrome, this happen to all application that use accessibility service as you can see in this thread . If the lag is too extreme please disable the Swiftly switch accessibilty service, all feature still available except the navigation (home, back).
If you return to home screen and then launch an app, it won't be launched until about 5 seconds after going home. This is beacause Android do not let any service launch apps before 5 seconds has pass from return to home screen.
Sorry
I just edit the post

Yes, it show list of 6 recent app and let you switch between them.

Thank you for the good app! I noticed several features (out their absence), which hold me on Switchr instead moving to your app.
1. I could put Switchr a not higher, 1/3 from the top of my phone. Your app is possible to put only in the center. It's impossible to lift it a bit higher saving the length of a sensitive zone. That is a problem.
2. I have root and prefer to kill app from the switchr if it misbehaves. With your app I cannot.
3. In switchr I could see actively running apps and recent apps which are not longer in the memory. With your app I cannot see it.
Unlike Switchr your app is quicker, more responsive. I like it. And your idea with favorites is really great. Thank you for the good job and your hard work!

The best way is to implement this opportunity and to explain users in settings under what conditions these features work (root, OS version, XPosed Unrestricted Task module).

Thanks for your feedback. I primarily make this app for non root user, as this app growing I will consider add more function for root user.
About position of the edge you can set to Right-top or Left-top in each edge setting so you can save the centre zone.

Did this app work on Lolipop and above? As I know from lolipop I can't use the same code to get recent app like befor, and that why swichr can't get recent app unless you have Xposed module UnrestictedGetTasks.
I have a nexus 6p and before that Note 4 - neither of which were rooted. So 6 and 5.1.1
With that said, it was just a launcher and didnt access recent apps. I guess you need if for that?

Yes, as I know, from lolipop, I need Usage stat to access recent apps.
My app use that permission only for that, as you can see, it doesn't ask for any internet permission.
Some bugs
Hey love the app.
But noticed a couple of bugs on my Note 4. The show notification does not bring down the notification shade. And back sometimes does not come up. It takes multiple tries it seems like I have to push my finger off the target area to get a haptic feedback and for the back command to register.
Continue the great work.
Nice! Just installed it
lollipop here, it got stuck for me and I had to restart couldnt click any app or dismiss it
Seems like a great idea for large screen phones too where its hard to use with one hand. Will give it a go on my Nexus 6P and report back!
