This may sound like a stupid question but its really aggravating me. I rebooted my xoom yesterday and when it started back up I now have a new icon next to my clock. Its a small green battery that when clicked it tells me the level temp and voltage of my battery. I don't need this icon nor do I remember ever getting it. I've been through all of my apps that could possibly have this setting and I can't find it. I don't even have a runnin process for a program that would have that notification. Can any one after any light on this situation, I'm I just over looking something? Help please

weird, sounds like battery indicator (the app)... Screenshot?
It appears that both LG and T-mobile are putting a LOT on the hope that this update has indeed fixed all of the problems plagued with the G2X. But to be honest with you, I only notice 2 differences with the update...gps and data speed.
Problems I'm still having:
Random reboots
Lock-ups when switching from USB storage on to off
Sleep of death (try to wake the screen with the power button, and you can see some kind of slight light behind the black screen, but requires a battery pull)
Camera is dark, dark, dark
MP3 Ringtone at max volume when call is coming in is distorted
I will edit this if I think of more, but I have to go handle some business en el bano.
Please reply if you are having these issues, not having these issues, or if you have other issues.

So basically this update has fixed nothing?
I had no problems before update except for some minor black light bleed. After update I had a few sleep of death issues happened 4 time in the few days running the update. Yesterday I flashed the rooted update and have had No problems yet.

It fixed my wifi, it's like night and day now. Battery has very slightly improved. LG camera is gone. Overall though, I'm happy.
I was happy but just had a random shutdown. First one hopefully last. That is with the update

I really HATE the new buttons on the keyboard...as well as the fact that double hitting spacebar no longer equals a period. I know they're petty, but they annoy the f*** out of me.

Should be a setting under the keyboard settings to re-enable the double tap period shortcut.

I know right? Since I updated my phone still won't help me make an army of tiny, laser toting robot minions. Stoopid LG.

My problems got worse. GPS won't lock on now, and when it does, it's like 30 miles off.
Getting more freezes and reboots.
Finally decided to try a warranty replacement!
The update fixxed all the reboot problems for me, however my GPS still takes forever to get a fix, and once when checking for a text message i was expecting, i would turn the screen on and off every 15 seconds or so for about 2 minutes, which eventually led to the screen getting stuck. Everything seemed to work (slight vibrate when using the unlock slider, able to feel buttons being touched through the vibration), just the screen was frozen. Weird bug, was fixxed with a battery pull and a restart though.
for those wanting the lg camera app on gingerbread, couldnt you just make a backup of the application with titanium backup and restore? Or is it not compatible on gingerbread?

I have the following issues:
1. Phone turned off while charging overnight
2. During calls, it cuts in and out almost constantly (or every several seconds)
3. Battery life hit the crapper (due to Juicedefender not turning off radio and bloatware present again since I'm not rooted anymore)
I haven't gotten any reboots or lockups, yet
Wifi is pretty solid now
Somewhat better performance, although it lags a bit when woken up

Regarding GPS, just curious if you have wireless networks enabled under Settings > Location and Security

Just got the OTA this morning and I've noticed much faster GPS lock and vastly improved call quality (no more drop outs!). Only been a few hours though so this is just my initial impressions. Would love it if the battery life improves but I'll have to wait and see.
My phone is way faster now and I even got a quadrant score above 3000 but it's locked up and rebooted 3 times today so I have mixed feelings.

My Quadrant speeds are the same as before... Around 2800.
I've had several random reboots today and only had maybe 4 over the last 3 months with Froyo. Trying out some different ROMs, xboarders tweaked, to see if that corrects some of the problem.
I bought a used b40 model dock. I just got it literally 5 minutes ago. I really don't know how to use it, but that's beside the ppoint. My question is, what is the gripe about the b40 docks? I remember reading that people have had problems with the older docks and TF's for that matter. What exactly is the beef with them? I just want to know what to be on the lookout for. Thanks

The issue is battery drain, you will see it drop off significantly.
Battery drain occurs on all of these docks prior to b60 models.
I RMA'd mine and it was fixed. Seems thewy went to a different revised microcontroller that shuts off the charging on the dock when tablet turned off and slows drain on stdby.
I hope I can get mine fixed then. I doubt it though because I bought it off of Shift of Teamwin and not a store. I did register it on Asus.com though. Did you have to send your dock to the store you bought it from or to Asus? If you did send it to Asus, did you have to provide a receipt?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
A B4O dock just has a slightly different "battery control chipset" or something in those lines. basically if your setting has the mobile dock saving battery mode on, when u click on the home button when your screen is turn off, the transformer will turn back on. by sending it to Asus for a chipset replacement, where they change the chipset inside, when in mobile dock saving battery mode, pressing on any keys or touchpad with the latest dock firmware doesnt turn on the tablet while its in standby mode. So it literally saves the battery by switching the whole entire dock off, instead of putting the dock in standby where battery drain is slightly more.
So every once in awhile my phone will start scrolling in-app. At first I thought maybe it was just oils on the skin, like some hp laptop touchpads, but after a while I disproved this. Now the real weird thing is that if I shut the screen off the come back to the app it stops. I'm thinking maybe something to do with sudden changes in ambient temps. Any thoughts?

I have the same issue, was really bad this weekend when it was near 0 and I was outside. same thing where I shut screen off and back on and then it seems OK.

Same here has done it since day one not very often but out of the blue screen acts up. I have watched it move icons on homescreens around before. But turning screen off then on stops it
Sent from my XT897 using Tapatalk 2
Sometimes happens on mine, but only when using a high amperage charger or there are water drops on the screen (from rain).
Sent from my XT897 using Tapatalk 2
Add me to the list. Mine has done it a handfull of times but turning the screen off then right back on has always corrected it.
Very odd.

Happens to me a lot when it's freezing outside. On/Off cycle fixes it
So my question now being, if we can assume its temp related, could this be solved by a patch to adjust based on ambient temps, or is that in the proprietary driver for the touch panel?

I notice it happens to me if I get the screen wet at all.
As stated, turning the screen off/on fixes it.
Well this is weird. This morning I woke up and grabbed my G from next to my bed and the touch screen is being all slow and not responsive. I can't swipe left or right without doing it very slowly and deliberately. Same thing with bringing down my notification drawer.
Its making the phone near unusable. Even to type this all out I couldn't use Google keyboards swipe typing feature and have to hit each individual button really slowly.
Anyone know what could be causing this?

Install this and see how it behaves https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=multitouchpro.tests&hl=es
Thanks for that useful little app. It registers all my fingers fine, and its good if I swipe slowly, but if I swipe too fast it loses my finger for a second, which I guess is why I have a problem swiping.
I have no idea what's causing this still though since its been working fine for the past month.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Do you by any chance have the charger plugged in while doing this? (My nexus 4 screen acts that way when I connect the wall charger)
Have you tried resetting it?
It's not plugged in, I did try rebooting it but not a reset. I'll have to give that a try now.

Same here, part of the screen is unresponsive, except if you move your finger very slowly.
I have the problem described by OP if I am charging with a high ampere charger. It is solved by me by turning the screen off and on after unplugging it.
I forgot to update. The problem just kind of fixed itself over a few hours. I took it to work and it was still having the problem, and then I took it out of my pocket a few hours into my shift to check a text and it was working like usual.
I dunno. Magic I guess.

Could be that the cpu got underclocked for a while?
Using any cpu overclocking apps?

Guy who did a waterproof test on the Moto G encountered the same issues you described. As the phone dried out the screen slowly came back to life and became responsive again.
I suspect that you have moisture egress into the device, it could cause a strange capacitance differential affecting the digitiser, or even just a short.
Have you used the phone, in shower room, in pocket while exercising. In rain. Taken it from cold outdoors, into very warm indoors. All these things can cause moisture to condense inside the device.
If it happens, the symptoms will reduce as the phone completely dries out...

Facing Same Issue
Hello, I am also facing same issue only when my Moto G is connected to Wall Charger [Be it switched Off or On]. Can any body please help me resolve this issue? Or Do we actually have a solution for the problem stated?

I'm also in the same boat..

I made the multitouch test and all works fine, it seems like is a software problem but i don't know wich one is failing. I hide the navbar with gravitybox, could this be the cause of the problem ?
definitely your charger I had the same problem when using a generic charger... try a different charger

this behavior happens to me with stock keyboard in whatsapp, after star typing and pressing the "a" key in loop, press the home button and start multitouch test (YAMT) and the screen area that is not responding is where the "a" key is located....
after a while the screen start to response in a normal way...
i tried swift keyboard and guess what.... the same issue again....
this is weird...
note: try to remove the grip shell
Solved,
Okay so I had this issue just now and i got worried, but there is nothing to worry about. The problem is in the charger, use a different charger
my 2 have done this a couple times and I think they were charging at the time. I unplugged the charger but no change. Then I removed the silicone cover I put on and it immediately worked fine both times I did it. I did not turn phone off or reboot. It did not start this trick until I put the covers on. Covers barely touch the screen on the sides. When I replaced cover it still worked until the next time it became unhappy with the cover. Anybody else...................
Update-just checked my other phone. I removed cover w/o unplugging and it did not restore it. Unplugged charger and it was fine. Almost seems like both are contributing to it. more research necessary..........
Maybe the phone just wants to be fondled???????
