Just got my see pad, but cannot figure out how to select traditional handwriting, or find one that works for see pad from market
Look for hanwriting ime in the market. It requires multiling keyboard. Looks to be pretty good, could use a bigger input box though, but that's probably due to my awful handwriting.

Forgive me if this feature already existed on the Eee Pad TF, but I think I accidentally enabled predictive text.
I found out that Swype is running beta keyboards for the Android system so I downloaded a Swype keyboard from the web and installed it to my TF. I then received a notice saying that my screen size is not supported.
However, today I was just swiping across the screen and Swype began to work.
Either way, if the TF doesn't have this native capability, and you would like predictive text technology, go to http://beta.swype.com/ and follow the instructions.
Your android device will say the screen is unsupported, but you may get lucky like me.
Btw, Swype is great and works better than i expected.

Swype like technology is already installed with stock keyboard.
It really sucks at predicting words though. Especially compared to the Swype I have on my Droid X.
I agree the predictive text on the Asus "swype" suck. Not to mention it takes a lot more effort to "swype" a keyboard as wide as the Asus virtual keyboard.

I agree. I am much faster when I type on the virtual keyboard instead of drag ala swype.
I have reset my unit to use the standard Honeycomb keyboard since the Asus keyboard seems to miss key strokes.
I wish the stock android keyboard has numbers like the asus KB. It would speed things up a bit.

I meant to hit quick reply...it's too early in the morning!
Ok, so I use Tablet Keyboard, which can be used as a split keyboard --easier to use if you're holding it as well as a one piece that is almost exactly like a fullsize pc keyboard with numbers/symbols on top. It works great.
I also use flexT9 keyboard from the makers of Dragon Naturally Speaking--you can swipe, draw, speak and tap with this keyboard and its just a keypress to change between the modes. The swipe works especially well but you need to train it a bit for voice and to get your own entries into the dictionary.
I recommend both...there's a free version of Tablet to check out but I use the paid version.
I'm considering the Transformer 3G for my next tablet purchase. The keyboard dock seems like it would be a great addition as well. However, one thing I've noticed is that there is a CBIL keyboard dock that is supposed to simplify making accented characters. Since I sometimes need access to those characters for Portuguese, I was wondering if a CBIL keyboard would be a good idea. I have looked online for images of this CBIL dock and all the images are of the normal one. My question is: how does the CBIL dock simplify accented characters and if anyone could post an image of the dock? Also, I've seen posted that changing a keyboard layout for the dock does not tweak the on screen keyboard as well. Would someone kindly clarify if the CBIL keyboard is necessary for accents or is there a way to at least use a International 101-key keyboard IME or some such along with the keyboard dock to allow for accented characters in much the same way that a laptop allows this.
I'm Spanish, and so is my keyboard dock. However, I often type in English with it. Under HC, it wasn't an issue, I used Asus Keyboard in Spanish, and since word suggestion was disabled while using the keyboard, I lost no functionality. This is important because I need to set the Input Method to Asus Keyboard (Spanish) to get the right key layout for my dock keyboard (It mostly changes where some symbols are, such as the @ symbol, and punctuation, on top of adding dead keys for accented letters)
Come ICS, and everything works exactly the same. However, now ICS includes auto-spellcheck independent of the word suggestions, and uses the language of the keyboard to identify the language of what you typed. This means that while I'm typing, and getting the right keyboard layout via the Asus Keyboard (Spanish), every word gets a wiggly red line underneath (and performance suffers a little). When I change to Asus Keyboard (English), I can use auto-spellcheck, BUT it's cumbersome to type (mainly punctuation and symbols).
If there a way to tell the tablet that it should use the Spanish keyboard layout while using another language for spellcheck? Is there any free or paid Input Method app to help me here? I'm not rooted, but feel free to suggest some root only apps and solutions if it's what it takes.

Same problem here. The only custom ROM which works well with my PT dock is Revolver 4
So I've tried Android Keyboard as well as Samsung's and GO keyboard, but I like Android Keyboard the best. Is there a way to hit a single button (or a button and a choose from a pop-up, either way a "simple method") to use other languages with Android Keyboard? I've been googling this for days and everything I've found was people saying "yeah this works but it's meh." So if anyone knows a language input for Android Keyboard more like what I described above, let me know
I'm looking for Chinese and Japanese in particular.
You try sogou input method
I use slide it. You use the swipe method or touch. I use a dvorak layout for my keyboard which is basically another language. There is a dedicated button for switching back and forth between whichever languages you have installed.
Sogou was 100% in Japanese/Chinese so I have no idea how to use it and the pics didn't look like a keyboard plugin
Swipe is awful imo :/ I prefer to just type. If anyone knows any good swype keyboard that's actually really good, I'll try that too but I just want a Japanese and/or Chinese (Simplified) plugin for Android keyboard
is there any korean too?

Well, there are hands of Chinese/English keyboard developed by Chinese company. Unfortunately few of them offer enough downloading/handling support.
