When I play games or launch an app with sound the volume is super loud. No matter how I adjust the volume it is always at the same level unless I turn it all the way down. Angry Birds for example is the same volume when it is turned all the way up or just one tick from being on silent. It is the same thing for any video, game, etc.
Has anyone else had this problem? I see that some people want a volume boost. I want an option for it to be quieter. Right now it is either silent or full blast.

My TF has the same problem.
I just got my TF yesterday.Everything is fine except this problem.
It happens when playing video, can be fixed after a reboot.Hope it's just a software/OS bug, which can be fixed in future updates.
try a hard shut down (hold power button for 15 seconds) then reboot, if it still occurs, do a factory reset.
When you use a cable connection it can not adjust the volume

Ran into problems where my phone got wet, the volume up button is stuck so it's always try to adjust the ringer and the ringer volume screen keeps appearing. This is annoying because I can't really see my screen and it keeps making that beeping sound. Until I get a replacement (if I can) is there a way to disable the volume up key? My phone is rooted so is there some kind of modification I can make in the system?
anyone?...
could you possibly take the phone apart and unstick the volume button or maybe even without taken the phone apart. you could also find/create an app that takes over for the the stock volume control with an option to disable physical changes to volume

Since water got into it I dont know if it's actually stuck? I just think it got fried somehow because it just randomly adjusted the volume. I was trying to find an app but I was unsuccessful, I wish I knew how to create an app.
I think there is some kind of bug when watching videos. Sometimes when I exit out of a video my ringer volume is changed to silent even though I've only touched the volume of the video I'm watching. Anyone have something happen similar?
I know I've had the notification volume turn itself way up for no apparent reason. Usually scares the crap out of me when it goes off.
Hi!
I have this bug with my OnePlus One. When I press volume up or down, the usual volume panel doesn't appear and requires a reboot to work again. This happens around two times a day. If I press both up and down buttons, I can turn the phone on vibrating mode and back to normal. Really annoys me to have to reboot phone to change volume level.
Anyone having this bug?

I'm having a similar problem with the sound. It doesn't make the beeping sound when I increase or decrease the volume, so it's difficult to know the volume level unless i'm on a call or open the settings. Also the haptic feedback has stopped working even though it's enabled. Still had the same problem after restarting.
this started from yesterday evening, i'm watching youtube and the volume is annoyingly low, i increase the volume by using the volume rocker on the side of the phone but the volume is still the same, i go into settings and change the volume level from there and it suddenly goes into max volume.
then today after i had set the alarm clock i couldn't hear anything because yet again the volume had suddenly gone down again at this point i have no idea what is causing it, i don't have any bluethooth devices connected to it, no headphones, nothing in the headphone jack so i'm clueless as to what is causing it my phone is not rooted either.
this is frustrating me as i use my phone for a alarm clock and i can't rely on it for now due to this issue, no idea where to start with it.
so the volume is low, i increase the volume with the rocker no effect, i then go into settings and adjust the volume from there it goes back to high volume and then after a while it goes back to low volume again without any input from me.
If your device is rooted, I recommend you try Viper and see how it will help react.
I did say I didn't have root from the start.
anyways I'm thinking it may have a link with the latest update that was pushed, it was the October security update, this is when the problem started so it may have effected it.
Hi guys,
I noticed a week ago that while listening to a WhatsApp voice message I was unable to change the volume using the volume rocker.
I thought this very strange. Then while in the car listening to a podcast via Bluetooth I noticed the audio would stop, then maybe 5 minutes later start again by itself, then stop again (sometimes for ages) then start again.
I've now noticed that the audio was switching to in call volume ( active and green) during the times the audio stopped. As soon as it decided I wasn't on a call it would then default back to media volume and things would start playing again.
So my bloody phone thinks either a call is coming through or I'm on a call yet neither of these things are true.
Very very very frustrating!
Has anybody experienced this? What could this be and how can it be fixed?
Thanks
Bump

I am still not able to understand your issue clearly but could it be bad proximity sensor?
Thanks for replying.
My phone has "in call volume" active sometimes even though not on a call. When you press the volume rocker on the side it is active (highlighted in blue) when it shouldn't be.
When active it cuts out all other media.
Then sometimes it's normal where in call volume not showing (not active) when you press the volume rocker so I can play media, (media volume shows active when pressing volume rocker) just the way it should be.
It's totally random.
I'd that clearer?
Thanks!

Do you have smart connect installed? In past I have experience something similar while using smart connect.
Like sometime it acts as if headphone is connected when it's not and you don't hear anything when you play media.
I haven't, and I don't know what smart connect is but my issue isn't it thinking headphone connected, it thinks it's on a phone call
