I recently activated a donations button after a few weeks of going back and forth. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do that, but I'll be very honest that I wouldn't mind grabbing a "dev" unit if I can find one on the cheap, in the Outlet. Having two active mods is definitely tough with one device. So I figured every little bit would help.
I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who's donated, already. I am humbled and flattered and amazed at the generosity here and I really appreciate it. I think even my wife is amazed to the point that she might not bug me as much for being a "tech widow", as she likes to put it.

I'm just reviving my skills as an old skool linux and java developer and hacking away at the Gtab is just what I needed to both get into the Andorid platform, while having fun at same time!! Thanks Roebeet for all the hard work and thank your wife for being the longsuffering "tech widow".
BTW: Also ordering the dock to get the pinouts to build a better docking station (HDMI + built in USB hub) -- so looking forward to giving back a little in the near future!
I have had the gtab since Friday Dec. 24. I bought it when I saw it while out Christmas shopping but Sears only had a cardboard display. After booting it up, downloading the 3389 update and playing with it I was pretty disappointed and had decided to return it.
rothnic helped me do my first rom replacement and it was a much better machine after that. Since then I have rom'ed it a couple of times to try out the various roms and am now on Vegan 5.1beta.
Without the great devs here at xda, this machine would have been returned and I would still be looking for something. Thanks to all your first rate work and hours of time I have a well runnig, usuable and fun machine.
Kudos to all who have put in so much effort and time on behalf of the not so gifted in this community. I just wanted to post publicly how much your efforts are appreciated by myself and so many others here.

Just a heads up to everyone, as I get a lot of PM's (which I don't mind, normally). The job that feeds my family just dumped a new project on me and I have to do 2 months worth of work in the next 7 days. You can imagine how happy I am about that. This is going to kill my days / nights and even my weekend.
I am going to release 4.1.0 today / tonight, and after that I will only be checking the site in the evenings, most likely. After this project stabilizes, I'll hopefully go back to my usual access / response time.

I thought about that, but it was already in flight so I wanted to get it out. That one thread, and my PM's, will be the things I will consider "high priority" items to look at at least once a day.
Well if viewsonic would just give you the $M you deserve for improving user experience you could just coast

roebeet - you've done as much for this community as anybody, if not more. No need to feel bad about taking care of your real job and, in turn, your family, for the next few weeks. We appreciate all the time you've devoted to making the G Tab a great device.
Not to mention but while your gone.... You have all of us to answer ALL the questions! We will hook you right up! In just a matter of days we will have everyone thinking TnTLite is what controls the Space Shuttle, and there car. The market will work and it will all be free, and the G Tablet will have GPS and actually know where it is!...

Thanks everyone for the donations. I went and got the phone this morning before work. I was away all weekend, so I wasn't able to keep updating my signature as people donated as I don't have a laptop, and editing my signature from my phone would have been painful at best. Hopefully, I can get things working easier now.

Had my Skyrocket for nearly 8 months, and only last month rooted and used Sean's custom ROMs for the awesome battery life in preparation for our summer vacation at the amusement parks. Wow, I'm now hooked; don't know why I waited so long. Not much of a poster, though I do keep up with all the posts. Thanks for the dedication and commitment to the skyrocket forum.
