Does anyone have a scrap of DHD so I could sell the rubber that surrounds the LCD housing? Or suggest a place where I could buy, already tried to see if buying a new frame that rubber would follow, but the sellers say no.

Hi,
I plan on buying case such as gelli case from case-mate but from ebay and I am concerned about the exposed area around the trackball.
I like skins such as BSE and the similar cover that area but I aint keen on using liquids when applying them. Furthermore I currently reside in Australia so shipping from the US will take too long.
Thus I am considering buying an iphone screen protector from a local store and cutting out the shape that matches the exposed area around the trackball. My main concern is, will the adhesive on a screen protector strip the paint/coating on material around the trackball?
Is it possible to change the glass over the screen not the digitizer and other components with most of the screens they sell on ebay, and if so how is the installation?
Checkout repair guide in the general section, seems pretty informative. I think the digitizer and screen address one unit with this device- cannot be replaced separately. There are post in that thread that address this issue; it cautions against purchasing kit on eBay that claim to target digitizer or the screen separately. Please post your findings here in case others may have similar issues.

Well, it's very outdated (4 years now), but I'm posting this for anyone who will google for the instructions of howto change the glass only, like myself.
The protective glass is glued to the digitizer glass.
It's not very strong glue, BUT! The digitizer is much more fragile then the protective glass and any try to separate them (even with thinnest tool) will most probably end up with digitizer broken and cracked.
The only way is to change the whole unit - digitizer, LCD and the glass (usually costs ~50-80$ + shipment).
So the question if to fix it, or just to buy a new phone for 300$ is open.
PS. If I only had the name of that genius Gnusmas engineer who invented this finest idea: to glue up the digitizer and the protective glass... It would have been a good demotivator.

There are many screens on eBay for the galaxy s3.
Just look up "galaxy s3 glass"
Keep it mind, the glass and the LCD is glue onto each other.
Those component are then stuck onto the frame of the GS3 by VERY strong adhesive.
The glass can be changed without purchasing the whole assembly which costs around $250 USD
But the risk of the LCD breaking is very high. The replacement isn't impossible, but just very difficult.
You need a lot of patience and heat to get the broken glass away from the LCD assembly.

I have "succeded" to break the glass around the back camera of my Razr i. Now I'm looking for a replacement. Does anybody knows where I can find an original replacement for the back cover of the Razr i?
I have purchased one from Aliexpress, but its quality is worst than expected: the exterior bezel around the kevlar plate it's made completely out of plastic, instead of metal and there's no shinny glass around the camera.
So guys, avoid buying back cover replacements from Aliexpres.
Hello,
Because my display was broken I search for a cheap front glass replacement, in order to have a good phone for someone in the family.
How about the aliexpress variants of non original front glass? Do you know another cheap model of glass? The original spare part in new conditions is expensive and not worth the price, considering the value of the phone right now.
Depends on what people said in the reviews section
