Maybe this one is more interesting than the quite dissapointing (chinese) Desire HD Gingerbread leak.

i thought as Ace works with Inspire 4G, Desire S is only different in Camera, and whatnot more or less the same, but i could be wrong ofc

Capy, are the fonts small like the desire HD or are they huge?
regarding the radio i been messing about learning how to extract rom.zip ( just for knowledge and learning more ) will when i went to flash the latest release radio from 2.3.3 i accidently moved the wrong radio and flashed the one from this rom

Wouldn't this be part of HTC removing the patents they lost against apple? HTC are ment to be releasing new updates for all phones.
And then again.. Why would they release a new update of froyo when Gingerbread was released?

in fact it makes sense kinda cos they never did release ota ginger. the last official for the desire its still the froyo and the ginger ruu was only for developers and not officialy supported.

yes im sure. if u remember when u installed the gb from htc you were reminded that "this is only for developer use" and htc will not offer support for the users of desire gb phones. and it was clear for everyone that htc will not spend more man hours on updating our lovely but old device

No, I don't remember seeing that as I didn't run that ruu. But - I do remember reading the License agreement which clearly states this:

My Desire is rooted, S-Off and HBOOT is changed. If I install RUU, can it reset everything including S-Off and HBOOT ?

1. "Downgrade protection, these HBOOTs cannot be overwritten by an OTA or RUU, unless you flash a downgrader HBOOT first."
2. "Will my phone stay S-OFF forever?
Yes and no. As soon as you decide to flash a stock RUU that has a HBOOT update in it, this hacked HBOOT will be overwritten."

Ok thanks. When I flashed HBOOT, there was no downgrader on website. Maybe I don't need downgrade. But I will do anyway as you suggested.
I have Galaxy Note now, I want to sell this. That's why I need stock.

Like my title, whose Sensation / XE already receive ICS FOTA ?because i saw some forum post the HTC official Europe ICS RUU for public download, i suspect that is fake official RUU.
The posted RUUs are leaked. They were built by HTC.

That's old news (beta). I think they were talking about a new stable official RUU.
Just seen someone comment about a new ota earlier on Google+. Could happen.

There is a finished ICS, and some HTC employees are using it, I seen a Sensation XE running the final version today (see my other post in general)....now hopefully one of the devs contacts can get hold of a copy of it, well, we will be laughing

That can be found with the search button but iirc:
If you update the update will be downloaded but not installed
Then you have to boot in recovery and install updaet yourself
nothing new from HTC sources?

OTA stands for O.ver T.he A.ir and yes, it does have to do with software. Sometimes when you have a smartphone, like a Sensation there are updates to your phone which consists of installing software via the OTA.

theres a beta test program called HTC elevate which is a closed group of 300 or so people, they registered their phones and got the OTA update that way, so its not a leaked RUU, its a final beta rom update before the main public ota release but you can bet its gonna be pretty much like this for final release..
