[Q] Bricked Xoom by USB cable? - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so i just made a usb host cable.
connected red/red, white/white, green/green & black/black-brown
I tried connecting my DSLR (T2i) didn't get anything.
I connecting the SD card through a card reader, didn't get anything.
I tried connecting my wireless usb mouse, didn't get anything.
left the mouse usb signal plugged in while trying to figure out what is going on. (do i have a bad cable or am i just plain not doing something right..)
well, after not finding anything i useful, i disconnected the usb host cable and tried to wake up my xoom....
nothing. tried holding the power button to turn it on... nothing. plugged in the charger.... nothing.
so i'm hopping i'm missing something here, or did i just royally screw up my xoom with my home made usb cable?
PLEASE HELP!

Fuze not being recognized by Computer

My Fuze all of a sudden, when I plug it into my computer via USB, doesn't launch the USB to PC connection manager, and my computer doesn't recognize my device. My Fuze still draws power and charges through the USB cable, but I cannot Active sync it or put it into Disk drive mode. I've tried it on three seperate computers with the same result. Is something wrong with my Fuze? I've tried flashing several different ROMs with the same result. I've tried it through my headphone adapter and my TV out cable with the same result. Please Help, this is very frustrating.
Please can someone help. This is incredibly frustrating. Even if I can warranty exchange the phone, I can't flash back to standard SPL, because I can't sync to my computer to flash it.

That is really strange. Have you tried looking at the setting in: Start - Settings - Connections tab - USB to PC?
Yeah, its all normal. I have it set to ActiveSync(Synce withOutlook)
I have Enable advanced Network checked(even unchecked it doesn't work)
and I have it to ask me about connection type when connected. The connection type never pops up when I plug in though.
Solved
The two USB cables I was using were broken or something, because now with a third USB cable I tried it works fine.
might be too simplistic, but i've made a similar mistake before...
are you checking the screen that appears on your fuze when you connect the usb cable? is the 'use as modem' option checked by accident?
EDIT: nevermind, didn't read your entire last post.
The weird part is that the USB cable that came with the Fuze no longer works. Maybe its the ROM I'm running?
Had the same problem. The fix for me was to open Active Sync on the phone and manually click sync. After that, all was good.

[Q] USB OTG Does not work anymore

Hello Gents,
I purchased a USB OTG for my 7+ last week, all was working. the USB drives works, mouse works.
But this morning, when I tried to use the same mouse/usb drives. The tab does not seem to recognized the USB, I can see the LED on the USB blinks for a few moment and then turn off. Like it's getting power but then stop.
I tried the following.
1. reboot the tab. power on , power off. No go.
2. reboot from factory default ( yes it drives me nuts, but I did it anyway) Power Volume Up. Factory reset, data wipe. No go.
3. tried a new OTG USB cable, still does not work.
I had the Tab root before, but after the system reset, it gone back to stock firmware. The only thing I can think of is I did the latest Samsung Patch after my initial test.
When I look at the "dmesg"
s5p-ehci: detected XactErr len 0/8 retry
tspdrv: ImmVibeSPI_ForceOut_AmpEnable (1)
ImmVibeSPI_ForceOut_AMpDisable...
Does anyone have solution for this problem?
Thank
P.S. these are not the OEM Samsung USB cable. But they were working before.
Also, when I plug in an portable external HDD, it does say, High power device not supported.
hi,,,
try to connect all tools to usb otg hub first before you conect it to GTab. i mean if you want to connect a flash disk or a mouse, connect them to the usb otg hub first before connect it to GTab.
for hdd, you have to connect a power supply to usb otg to make it readable on GTab. i use my old nokia charger to power the usb otg hub device.
hope it help and sorry for my bad english.
dan
edit : i use this device as usb otg hub

I have the same error.

How to connect an Android TV stick to a computer?

How do I connect my Android TV stick to my laptop? It has no reset or power on button. Just a microsd slot and two USB ports: a regular one and a mini usb one.
Hi can you tell us a little more about your device what make brand ect ect also some photos would really help
yes model number would help a lot.
usually it is going to be connected via the regular USB connector to the PC. Then you should see the internal and/or external SD cards as part of your computers resources.
Power on and off is by plugging in the power source, which sounds like it is micro-usb. Then remove to power off.
additional tips...
Some additional tips; I hope they can help...
In the OS settings, under "Device", subheading "USB", make certain that "connect to PC" is checked.
Also, if you use a microUSB-to-USB cable to connect the dongle to your PC, make certain you use a cable that you know has all four wires internally connected.
- I was going nuts one time, trying to figure out why I could not get the stick PC to connect over USB, and it turned out I was using a cheap microUSB-to-USB cable that was intended for power ONLY. (it had only the two power wires in the cable, and not the two data wires). Swapping the cable out solved that dilemma.
Cheers!

Nexus 5 OTG help needed

Dear,
I am trying to connect my logitech F310 via USB OTG.
When I plug it in, the power light on the controller is still off. However, when plugged in to the PC, it turns on.
Whenever I plug in a keyboard, it works fine. USB flashdrive power light is on but I can't read data from it.
My OTG cable is only powered via the phone, is it a possible solution for me to solder two extra wires for some extra power?
Thanks in advance!
~Luca

T95Z Plus - 3GB - 32GB - Won't boot, disconnects when I plug into PC...

Hi all, I have an Android T95Z Plus box - It's not working basically.
When connected to TV, nothing apart from the lights changing colors.
I have tried connecting it to the PC so I can maybe re-flash the box, but when I plug it in, the PC makes the sound of something being plugged in then around 10 seconds later, makes the sound of it being unplugged.
I also have tried plugging a USB card reader into the PC with a Micro SD inside, PC recognizes it as a mass storage device, but cannot do anything with it, it also doesn't show up in 'MY Computer'
Does anyone have any ideas or advice?
Thanks,
Chris.
If anyone else has this issue - I forgot to post how I sorted it. It works now for me by plugging in a USB cable into it and plugging that into a USB plug (phone charger plug)
Hope it helps if anyone else has the issue.
I have the same issue can you give solution
