IS it possible to have the SGS phone interface (GSM or 3G) Video Call for our Nexus S??
I'm not interested on Gtalk Video Call... I want 3G Video Call

OoVoo in the market. Its free. I just downloaded and used it. My friend only had a rear facing cam, so I only saw what was on that cam, but he said my pic was clear.
It used 3g, I have my wifi off.

The voice wasn't working for me. The video was but I could only see their video, they couldn't see mine.
EDIT: Scratch that. Voice works both ways. Video still only works one way and I still don't appear to the user to have voice/video capability, but I can call them.
It installs okay for me. Running superaosp v6.2, but the voice chat options are grayed out. Maybe because of my rom?
Edit: okay now it's working. Weird.

If you have a 2.3 rom on it, it might. It seems 2.3.4 might be required for it to work 100% though. If you are running 2.2.x or lower, it won't work since it uses the new camera API in Gingerbread.
Does this enable me to dial to any phone number using my Google Voice account (ie no cell phone minutes) similar to the function in Gmail on a PC?
I think it works only on WIFI. If I try calling someone on mobile data, it asks for WIFI connection. Anybody else having this issue. Sorry if I am missing something very basic here ( CM 7.0.2)

I'm using it and work well with 3G

No voice nexus one
Tried several versions on my nexus one:
gtalk1.3.nowifi.ffc-signed.zip
JVQ_Talk2_v1_2.zip
talk1.3.nowifi.v2-signed.zip
used adb to install
All claim to be talk1.3
But I don't see any voice icon, and in a chat, selecting 'more' shows voice chat is grayed out.
I DID enable voice/video.
Only thing I can think of is I'm on 3g, not wifi ATM. But several of these versions should allow voice on 3g, right?
U guys know any? I've tried skype, fring, yahoo messenger, and none of those can use the front facing camera. I didn't try qik cuz I think it's for android only. Tango looks weird, I don't have a screen name and don't know how to add a friend, so I don't know if it works or not.

'Qik Video Plus' is free for a limited time on iOS.. just successfully made a call from G2x to iPad 2..

check the last post. Tango has a beta for G2x which allows us to use our FFC. I just made a call with my gf's iphone and it works.
Fring and Qik
Qik works, I didn't know it's available for iphone too. It's kinda slow though, even if both phones r on wifi. Fring didn't detect the front facing camera.

Tango works fine between my G2X and my wife's iPhone 4.
I like Tango over some of the others because it doesn't require setting a username and password. It's based on your phone number. Makes it easier to manage imo.

Tango's front cam doesnt work properly, it shows it sideways and zoomed.
I'm looking for something that would work with my google talk contacts.
"Vtok" does that, and video works, but there are 2 problems:
- Low quality sound and video, no way to change that
- Doesn't recognize front camera on Infuse.

if you've actually tried Tango on the Infuse then you would know that the orientation of the screen is wrong.
Use Qik Video Connect.
So Qik is the only option? Does that work for video chat to a computer or iphone?

The fring developer asked me for some of the files from my Infuse and I emailed them to him, so hopefully, this will be fixed shortly.

Lol tabngo If you use front face camera, your face is side ways on not end of the party, no working video call for infuse yet, I hate android fragmented apps and handset grrr

I wish that was in English, I'm pretty sure there was something important in it somewhere.
Just tested Qik. Called my friend who was using an Atrix 4g. The call was great. It used the right camera on the Infuse 4g. Love the app now.
Im basically the odd one out in family using non iphone4. They using fring flawlessly but i just cant get the feont cam to work, otherwise the sound and back camera is great quality. Just d/loaded qip and hope it'll work.

Thanks mate! I thought that the function is integrated within HTC dialer.
It would be nice to see a way to make regular 3G video calls. I mean these video calls every non-smartphone device with a front camera can do over 3G. The only known android phone that implements this is the Galaxy S.

I downloaded Skype and I haven't figured out how to make a video call yet (just voice). I'm guessing I have to use the Qik app that came with the phone...problem is not many of my friends use Qik...they use Skype. Kinda disappointing

As stated above, Skype does not support video calls for mobile yet. I heard they are working on it, but who knows how long it will take with Microsoft taking over. It'll show up on WP7 before we see it at this point.

I tried Tango for calls with my friends MT4G and he sees me upside down???? Is this an app issue?same thing on Fring.

You sure he doesn't have a custom Rom on his mt4g? Cause tango for me works perfect.

If you go to Skype's website it says that mobile video calling will be available for Verizon's LTE 4g network soon. I hope it's not exclusive just to Verizon users.

I tried the Skype version linked above and on wifi, it worked great. Haven't tried it yet on 3G.

Skype work great for chat/calls, but video chat uses only the back camera for now till GB is out
If your going from mobile to mobile use Tango, it works flawlessly, and works with both cameras
Also qik video didn't fail me either

G talk works but the front facing camera sends your video feed horizontal when our should be verticle.
Qik seems to work the best for me although the speaker volume is low. I use my ear buds and the volume is usable.
