hi there,
my xoom suddenly power off, even i press both vol up+ down and power, but still not working...
then i plug in the charger and it can power up, but once i unplug the charger, it shut off immediately....
now i can only power up by plug in the charger, and even so my battery cannot show in charing mode. it looks like the battery is not functional, the power source is only from the charger line. what can I do? I am living in hong kong and my Xoom is from Verizon US
need more details! Can you get into recovery? ADB see your device whatabout RSD?
maybe u can take it to service centre n call them to exchange ur battry?
i can do anything with only the charger plug in...
maybe my Xoom battery really has issue, before this issue to happen, my battery will dropped even i am not using it. (ipad is not like this)

Was the charging light on the tablet on when you plugged it to the charger? What color was the LED? Trying to determine if it was charging.

I try everything press the power boton for 30 seconds, volume down... etc all I read. But one strange thing is that if I connect the usb cable first to my laptop and then to the tablet my laptop restart without reasson.
Are the pins on the power cable or the tablet bent or broken? Maybe try to turn on the tablet when it's plugged into the power cable? Also, you can try to let it sit for 24hours (maybe longer) to see if whatever power is left in the battery completely dies. Then try plugging it in again to power cable and hit power button to see if it powers up.

Cable and pins are ok... I had try to turn on when is pluged... so i´ll do what you mention. Then I will tell you what happen.
Thanks for your help.
You tried to charge it via the USB cable and your laptop? I do not believe your laptop's battery can deliver enough juice to actually charge the 700, so then it wouldn't surprise me the 700's battery is as dead as a dodo. Try the wall charger instead.

It is also possible the wall charger failed. I had this happen when mine was a month old. I could only charge off of my usb 3 on the back of my big pc until I was able to get another.

The problem is that when I pluged it to the wall charger the power light doesn´t turn on. the same happend when I try to charge via USB. I just don´t know what to do.
Thanks
If none of that worked, I would say to call ASUS for a possible hardware RMA.

I forgot to charge my Gear S2 last night so it made it about 37 hours'ish and now after completely dying my charger does not recognize the S2 when being placed on there. No lights on the charger turn on, not able to hold power button to turn watch on... kindof at a loss as to what i can do...
in case this happens to you... try setting the watch down on the charger and if the light turns red holding the power button until it comes on then hit and hold the power button again to turn it off. It made my charger stay on for some reason.
Are you trying with the original USB cable? I once tried with a generic one and didn't work, then I tried a lg USB cable, and didn't work either..
Maybe is just that
Hi

I had a problem with my quark
Charger not charging rightly
Cable and adaptor is original
I connect charger tu phone not charging immediately
I should connect and disconnect adaptor maybe charging was start
I bought a AUKEY charger, support quick charge 2
But i had thats problem with this too
Some times i try 20times to charging
And some times my navigate buttons not working
I should lock and unlock my phone to working
Plz help me
I love my quark but these problems made me crazy
I flash any stock rom, kitkat ,5 and 6 and cm13 snapshot, in every rom a had thats problems
I think this is a hardware issue
It could be the cable. I started to have issues with mine. Thankfully I have another quick charge and supported cable. By switching each one out, I was able to diagnose that the original cable was starting to wear out, and not hold as tight in the charging port of my phone. So when I plugged it in, just the act of placing the phone down loosened the connection to effect charging. So I purchased a new cable, all good now.

Moto Maxx charging Issue
Hi
Try this follow steps for charging issues of Moto Maxx.
- Power the phone down.
- Press and release the power button.
- When you see the Motorola Dual Core screen simultaneously press the up/down volume keys until you see SAFE MODE show on the screen, then release the volume keys and use your device as you normally would.
When you want to exit Safe mode just reboot the phone.
Thanks

i tried this many time ago..
Hi,
My phone recently just switched itself off and won't turn back on, I've tried charging, tried plugging into the computer, tried the volume down + power button reset etc and nothing happens, the phone seems totally dead.
I remember one of my old Samsung's used to work if plugged into the charger without a battery in the phone... does anyone know if disconnect the battery from the A8, would it still power up when connected to the charger?
Hi there.
So i tried to connect my Y700 to my Dell U4320Q to see how the PC mode will look like. All i got is a replica of the display on my big screen, and then it kinda turned off.
Now, it won't turn on again... Pressing the Power button for a very long time doesn't make it turn on again. No reaction at all, not even a vibration.
I maybe fried it with the Power Delivery being too strong?
I plugged the original charger, with an USB power meter, and it did charge with a decent speed. So the power section seems to be alive still.
Not sure what happened, but it's scary. Brand new expensive tablet and dead already just by plugging an external display on the USB C port?
Anyone knows how to eventually factory reset it? Or enter recovery mode?
i'm updating my own thread with an own answer.
So as said before, i plugged my Y700 to my Dell U4320Q using USB-C and this has killed the tablet.
Actually, it did not kill it, but it hanged in such a way that it was impossible to reboot it. Even long press on Power button did not help.
So i hoped that it indeed just hanged (it was still responding to adb commands, but since USB debug was not active, i couldn't do anything with it, not even an adb reboot), so i decided to try to deplete the battery by connecting it to another USB-C display that doesn't have battery or power supply (taking power only from the connected device).
This indeed depleted the battery in two days. Then when i tried to turn it on with power button, it did vibrate and show battery empty logo on screen! First sign of life since i connected to my main display.
So i just charged the battery again, and boom, tablet is back to life!
So happy now
