Did you make a backup like I suggested? You aren't bricked btw, just need a quick fix. Nothing big.

So, wait, you're trying to flash i9000 themes and ROMs to your sch-i500 USCC Mesmerize? If this is the case, you are lucky that you didn't jack your phone up. I thought you were trying to flash the Galassia partial port FOR the Mesmerize.
Just to be clear, but not trying to be mean, DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING TO YOUR PHONE THAT ISN'T FOR YOUR PHONE!
Oh LOL man now that is dumb lol I guess I was just to busying looking how cool I looked lol
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Also, when you reflash to stock it will remove the clockworkmod recovery, you'll have to redo the process of installing CWM.
Well I wanted the gala rom but like I said the way I did it was everything that said I'm the walk through and it just gave mu phone a black screen I don't know what I am doing wrong there (yea I reinstalled cwm to)

ok got it all working now flashed my phone with the Super clean rom and then put the GaLaSSiA theme on here and everything is going well =) (didnt know those were for the I9000 i was thinking all galaxy phones were the same besides looks and a flash on your cam) so i am still learning lol
I'm on CM7 #83
I guess I'm asking is there a way to get it back or do i need to delete it and redo everything as in delete cm7 totally from my device/unroot/reroot??
or do I just abandon this amazing rom...
This is how it happened>>
I flashed CM7 nitey #81 had it for the day and was loving it, installed a couple themes for the t-mobile theme app and played around with those at work. Then all the sudden I went to click on market to download more app's ..... Nothing happened the market flash on the screen for .2 milli seconds and then vanished into the droid lol not lol I'm pissed I loved this ROM so much ... so after doing this 10 times I looked online to seek for a solution, nothing turned out except, for one thing to uninstall updates so I did and it was forever deleted..
HELP ME PLEASE
try reflashing the ROM again...
I am very new at this, but I think that you should be able to pull an .apk for the market in the rom .zip file. After some quick research it might be called vending.apk. Like I said I am very new at this so take my advice with a grain of salt
Every time I have had this issue it has been because I didn't flash google apps with CM. No aosp rom comes with market built in and they all need a separate file to be flashed. Try downloading the google apps for your phone (posted on the cyanogen website) and flashing them from recovery and I guess your market should work.

Flash Gapps from ROM Manager or copy it to SD and flash from Recovery.
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip (Select CM7, 'Latest')
I think there's a 5/3 version of gapps.

This is pretty much the only rom I haven't tried yet. I read about 10 pages on the dev page but Im just not 100% sure how to flash this rom. I'm currently running miui with blue recovery, so I'm good there. I've already downloaded the latest build according to the dev page, but I have no idea what gapps or whatever is. I read that I can download them in rom manager, I checked it out but there's like 10 versions. Do I flash the Google app then cm7?

With blue CWM recovery you should be able to flash CM7 with a normal flash in CWM. If you boot loop, pull battery and reflash. The gapps is all the google apps you need, Cyanogen can't include google apps in the Rom. If you download gapps through rom manager, pick the latest one. I actually downloaded gapps from the Cm7 wiki. (the link for it is in the OP for Cm7 Rom) Flash the rom first THEN gapps and you should be good.

I'm sure ill need to wipe data and such since I'm currently running miui, but I think I read that I need to format system or something within cwm, any truth to that...I don't like formatting anything unless I know for sure.

Ya thats what I meant by normal flash lol. I know when flashing from red you need to format but, I can't remember if I did so when flashing from CM7 to MIUI or if its needed. You can try it without, and if it doesn't work then format, just make a backup before you do. I just remember the format system part is before you flash the zip a second time after a battery pull.

I did a normal flash and it worked fine but the latest version of Google apps doesnt match the latest cm7 build. I tried it anyways but I did work, no Google apps appreared, so I went back to miui.us. I guess ill have to wait for an update.

MIUI comes with the market which is really all you need ( you can download the rest from the market) CM7 is what needs gapps, best way to get these is from the rom thread, he's got a link in the OP somewhere.

Did you flash gapps through rom manager or cwm? I had to mess with that for a while and could only get it to work when flashing through cwm (blue). Worth the effort though. This is my favorite rom and I'm pretty sure I've tried them all. A lot of them anyways.

The gapps work bruh......your either not flashing the right gapps. or just missing steps.
really as long as the market loads you can find the rest of the apps on the market.
why use rom manager the link in the OP has the latest gapps
I had issues going from miui to cm7 so I just returned to stock with Odin rerooted etc and everything worked really well
No issues yet. Dont miss all those Chinese ccharacters on miui

Ya I've never had much luck with gapps on Rom Manager, that's why I referenced the link for the gapps in the CM7 thread, usually when someone on here tells you "the best way to do something is this"...we are trying to save you a headache lol. Just download gapps for "Cyanogenmod7" from the table, there is only one DL link and then a mirror.

Dude! You took my thought! I would love to know this as well. I have seen the touch recovery.... maybe someone deserves a challange....????
I would suggest you post questions in the Q&A section. I thought this was the touch version for our phone.
Nothing better than Nvflash. Rom Manager can get you in trouble if a flash goes wrong. It has been known that some backup made with Rom Manager glitch with Nvflash.
I've tried thar option. It just says its not available for my device.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
I just like rom manager for making my backups is all. I figured it wouldn't really flash it anyway but I was just curious if it was compatible. Since I'm in the middle of moving it's not really a good time to be playing with my recovery anyway...
And the only problem I've had with rom manager backups is renaming with a space in between. Stupid rom manager...

Well got another question lol I know I'm a noob to the whole rooting Droid phone's but I changed my rom to euroskank cm9 was wondering why there is a few things in settings I can't get into or there is nothing there, do I have to update the rom, and was wondering about themes for it. Thanks in advance
I was just wondering what the certain things are that you can't get into/select?
When I go into system settings I can't open dock or icon settings but the rom is a great looking rom . There is a few other options that are blank nothing important stuff like themes

time for you to do some reading, if all your using is ROM manager, then you need to read up on NVFlash. without NVFlashing your phone, if you get stuck in a bootloop, you cant access recovery.
as for changing the ROM, just check these forums from time to time. I wouldnt reccomend automatic updates anyway because most updates in roms introduce new quirks and issues, and if you look at the thread in the forum before flashing it youll get a better idea of what those issues are.
I have flashed a new recovery have had one rom boot loop but have tried a couple like the cm9 but missing a few features I would like to have that are not in it, there so much stuff that's possible trying to find a set up I like lol

Read read read and read some more. A little reading goes a long way! You nvflased your phone right? I don't even use rom manager. I boot into recovery each and every time I want to switch roms. As for updates just go to the Site or check out rootzwiki. That is where my buddy dj posts the roms. Here is euroskank Site http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/
Hopefully I don't get heat for this lol
