Has anyone tried freezing this with TB? Is this the same app that runs if you don't flash Paul's patch?
The app shows up as "LG Debug 1.0.4" in TB.
I'm interested in this answer too...
Same here.

I just froze it and rebooted the phone. All is well thus far. Browsing, email, etc. It may be the service that tells you an app has locked up and asks you to force close or wait. Idk.. just a guess.

I've been messing with my rooted Sanyo Zio, and I removed some system application, and it causes Google Applications to crash frequently. And now I cannot download things from the Market, as it hangs at "Starting Download". Hard reset failed, and I'm lost right now.
Try clearing your recent downloads. How is the zio?

And it's pretty good so far . First android phone, rooted
Google talk services and other google talk stuff, not the actual app, are needed for market and google products to work. Maybe you deleted these?

Think I did, actually. Do you know how I could fix it?
I have been having the same problem with my non-rooted EVO.
I read someplace else others were experiencing the same issue. I just cancel the download and redownload it and then it seems to work.

I had to reset my phone because it was making random phone calls and now has spammed all my Gmail contacts. I have like 3 apps. They are automatically restored. Should I remove all apps? Also, is there anyway to scan my phone and confirm malware removed?
just flash a clean ROM into the phone with fastboot, or nandroid, or odin
You could do the factory oem lock and unlock to clean the system. This will fully erase the system and sdcard.
not if it's a hacked ROM with Warez build in

could you answer my pm-s please?
Seems like he's not running any custom roms.
Just resetting/wipe from the privacy menu in settings.
When your phone boots back up, SKIP the gmail login. That will prevent market apps to auto reinstall.
Now when it's some booting, go to menu/settings/accounts and add your Gmail.
You can install Lookout Mobile from the market, it is a very good malware scanning app. Anytime you download and install an app it will scan it and tell u if it's ok or not.

Can you advice how to do this, I have the app superuser install through the root process, it will not go away, even through the settings and hold volume and power button, second menu won't do the job, and I cannot find a full stock rom using build gri40 to flash my ns, I would very grateful if anyone can direct me to a how to flash guide using a root ns through fastboot, and full stock rom.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the thread hijacking.

Thank's a ton. I appreciate it.
I use antivirus free, but most anti virus, or security app will do the job.
If your phone is making random calls, try updating to the latest gingerbread.
Also I read on other android forums regarding other phones where someone had similar issues with their phones randomly dialing. It turns out to be a bluetooth headset issue for them. My mom's Nexus S had the same issue too. I got her a new headset and she hasn't complained about it since. I've also updated her phone to 2.3.3 as well, so may want to try those 2 options.
This is a noobish question. We have a htc inspire 4G that's been stuck in a loop trying to update Adobe flash 10.3 and is using up data like crazy. There seems to be no way to stop it. Any suggestions?
Have you tried uninstalling it then reinstalling 10.2?

So you're saying that in market, you see that striped green progress bar indicating it's downloading/updating and it never seems to start doing anything/ finish?
If that's the case, I've solved that one by unchecking "update automatically," cancelling the download, back out a couple of screens, then to the apps page in market and push update.
That usually gets the download to actually start downloading, and finish.
I don't know if this will work in your situation. Please be as specific as possible when describing issues you are having. It makes troubleshooting much easier to do.
Thanks for your replies. We have tried uninstalling it, in both cases we get a progress bar that never ends. In the case of an uninstall it only allows us to uninstall the updates and says it is a system app as why.
It will not let us stop the download. We have tried stopping data connections and then uninstalling the updates, but to no avail. Even when the device is offline, the uninstall progress bar keeps going as if stuck in a loop just as happens with the install from market.
For the record, this is a completely unmodded device.
this happened to me also. i went to menu/settings/aplications/manage aplications/found the market app and then cleared cache and data. then opened app back up and proceded with the download. it worked for me

You'll need to stop the process on that screen first before you clear the cache. I've had to do this with several apps so it's a good workaround to be familiar with.
Thanks for the tips. This is what I did:
1. Put the device in airplane mode to stop the download.
2. Rebooted.
3. Went into settings/applications/manage applications and cleared the cache and data
4. Rebooted again
5. Returned to settings/applications/ manage applications and selected uninstall updates
Same result. It was stuck trying to uninstall.
Edit. Actually, it is worse than i thought. As a control i tried downloading an update from a different app after i stopped the Adobe flash update. - same result. Then i tried to download a random free app. - it won't download. Then i tried to uninstall an app. - it got stuck on the progress bar. So, the problem seems to be system wide.
Anyone ever heard of something like this?
I did a factory reset on my phone and somehow I lost my market app. Can anyone provide any help as to how to get it back. Thanks!

You can try to paste the market app you just downloaded to the system/app folder of your phone, and then I reboot. That method worked on my epic and charge.
Have you tried to do a reset again, and what rom are you using?
I rebooted a few times and it stopped Force Closing. Now I'm getting an Authentication Login Error, saying that I need to Log in to my google account.
I'm running rooted EE4 w/Voodoo Lagfix Enabled

The only thing that I can think of is to maybe disable the lagfix, wipe data, reflash the rom, then renable lagfix
But I would say the easiest way to fix this is find a rom to odin over it, maybe ep1f humble or gummy if you want GB, both are good

Finally got it working. Just waited on the screen where it asks me for authentication... then after a minute or two, it started working... weird. Thanks for the link to the new Market!

Glad to hear, weird that happened haven't heard that.
So for a while I was soft bricked waiting for the FXZ for 12.15.15, obviously it was released and my phone is up and running great but one thing I've noticed is when I try to install a 3rd party app I am not able to click install (I have unknown source's enabled duh) but it's so weird... I click the app, it opens and when I try to click install it just doesn't register period. I can click the cancel button but not install...I tried installing the latest safe strap to make a back up but am unable...I also tried installing the Google Search Launcher I extracted from a 4.4 ROM and the same issue occurs...any idea what this is? Or what I can do?...I may try restoring stock again cause this has never happened before, ever. Any insight would be great.

I've seen this before and for my device it was because I was running the app Lux, which is an autodimming screen effect. The way Lux worked was shooting a semi-transparent image over the whole screen. Android has a built-in feature that prevents apps from auto-clicking the install button by preventing apps that are "above" the install screen from disallowing them to auto-install things. Do you have any apps that are running in some sort of overlay?
Thank you Sir, I am actually running greenified which is just like this lux app your talking about, good look.... I had a feeling it was something I had installed, I'll uninstall and see if it works
