Anyone tried these? - Fascinate Accessories

the price is right, and you get an external charger. I was reading the Tbolt threads and someone bought one that worked for the thunderbolt from same company and said they worked good.

yes, i've try this. After 3 week light-heavy use with that battery, my Fascinate become, yep, it hot, and my battery life after 3 week is very terrible ( with my stock battery, gaming for 4-5 hours but with this, only 2 hours playing ) I hope you try another items. I'm sure that it's a fake battery ( I mean, fake capacity ) from China.

You might find that you'll have to change to a kernel that supports non oem batteries being used in the fascinate.
good day.

I think Im going to do the Naztech

Inspire 4G Batteries..

Thought I would start a battery thread just to see what everyone thinks. I have noticed the battery is 1230 mah and thats a little small for my taste. I have heard nothing bad about battery life, but thought I would start this thread to throw some options out there on where to buy hi-cap batteries. Also if anyone has experience with a site or certain make of battery, that is made for this phone POST IT UP. I haven't really been able to find anything.....
I guess I'll reply to the earliest thread.
You haven't heard anything bad about the battery? I have heard a whole bunch of bad things about the battery. I have also heard a whole bunch of decent things about the battery which leads me - and I'm sure many other android users - to believe that with SMART management and usage, there is no reason the battery shouldn't last one day.
If there was a proven extended battery greater than 1300mah on the market right now, I would have had one ordered and delivered to my doorstep already. However, because of the hardware design, this may prove difficult for manufacturers.
My plan is to get the phone, set it up, possibly root - and then evaluate if the battery is adequate - as many had said it is. If it is REALLY bad, I mean frustrating, leaving me stranded in a bad part of town with no cell phone... then I will return it.

Thats kind of what I had planned as well. I may also put a rom on it if they start coming out soon enough, because they have obviously shown to drastically improve battery on many many devices. BTW did find a couple batteries on ebay, up to 1600mah but obviously there is no way to tell if they are worth a dang or not.

They're not worth a dang from what I've read. Crap manufacturers label batteries as they'd like - good luck proving them wrong.
I'm looking out for a legitimate battery, not from ebay, that is over 1300mah. Will post if said battery is found.
I saw a review of the seidio "extended" capacity battery for the dhd and results were not very good. The battery is listed as a 1600mah, but it's true capacity was only about 85% of what it was rated. That percentage fluctuated as well and was some times as low as 70%. The HTC batteries while only being 1230mah were close to 95% of it's rated. So it seems that the stock batteries are the best choice.

well, I've read that the desire and inspire are basically the same phone, if that is the case than I know, personally, 4 people who own this battery and have said it adds about 2 hours of life with moderate to heavy usage.

I think you just pay them... it will convert US to pounds.
I ordered a pair of jeans from France this year and you paid as you would anything else... it just converts the euro into US and thats what it takes from your bank.
I would invest in extra chargers. I picked up an inspire today and that battery door is almost impossible to get off. It would be an act in frustration to try to change that battery even once! From what I have seen the battery is holding up pretty well. I crushed the phone for a few hours and downloaded about 20 apps on wifi. The level dropped of course but it held up better than my Nexus one is holding up these days.

^ That is one option I've used with good success. And the extrernal battery is just a USB connection so I can use it for lots of stuff. It recharges the internal battery at the same time, an added bonus.

Anyone bough both the Anker and Chichi batteries for their Sensation?

I don't know which one to get, so based on your experiences, were they worth it?
Has anyone bought both and gotten better performance on one more than the other? Has anyone gotten either of these and actually have had equal or less battery life compared to the stock battery?
thanks for any helpful replies!
I'm wondering about this too. Judging from threads from both brands, alot of people are getting the anker as they are cheaper. But according to some users who have used chichi are saying they last long and have had great experiences with them despite being $20+. Any one else can chime in?

Yeahh. I had a chichi battery for my G2 and it worked wonders so Im leaning more towards it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
I bought both...figure I could use one for a back up if anything but both seem to be getting good reviews..the CHI is on the 2nd cycle, i got 10 1/2 1st one under heavy usage would only get about 8 hr at most under heavy with the stock.
2nd cycle i was at 14 hrs under semi heavy usage, before I feel asleep when I woke up it was dead so not sure how long it actually lasted.
3rd cycle starting today..
The Anker is in the mail so hopefully it will arrive soonL
Having both I would prob go with the Anker since its cheaper and the reviews have been very good as well, I purchased the ChiChi when the Anker was 60 now that its back to $10 I would just go with those
Either way I'll post a comparison when I get both although I don't think there will be a huge noticeable difference, seems like both are excellent batteries
I just won two chichi batteries + charger for $15 at Ebay. what a good deal.
will test once i receive them.

I feel like there won't be much difference either, but I'd still absolutely love it if you could give some side-by-side specs.
Also, one nagging question from the Anker thread, if you have access to a scale, would you be able to compare weights between the stock, Chichitech, and Anker?
subed, also want to find out what the life difference between the 2. But i don't think you can go wrong with either one right? because they both will last longer than the htc one...
Will weigh both ,I have a scale...just not sure if I can find it, didnt come in the mail today hopefully tomorrow or mon which will let me fully cycle the ChiChi ones
My chichitec lasted 25 hours first charge with moderate usage. Not heavy, but definitely not light usage. Moderate till about 6pm then heavy till around 11pm. Then it was in standby the rest of the night. The stock battery would have never come close. I ordered an Anker too since it was only 9.50. Waiting on that and my battery charger dock still. Got the battery and used the phone for a few hours without charging it. Started at 70 got down to around 30. Then I turned my phone off and charged it for about 7 hours. Got up at 6am, unplugged and turned it on. Lasted all day and all night and died around 730 the next morning.charged it for about 3 hours on my laptop at work today till it was full with it on. Going to let it drain completely again on this charge. Stoked.

Anker 1800mah

Had anybody tried the 1800mah batteries made by anker for the epic?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Hard to search from tapatalk, but I posted my experience on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182278
I'm in the process of RMA'ing one of them. The other is good. Seller has been responsive so far.
EDIT: Seller sent the replacement battery quickly and for free. As with the original battery, turned out it was a non-issue. So, all Anker batteries that I received work well. All batteries have 2011-09 timestamps - fresh.
Can this battery be charged in the phone or does it have to be on an external charger?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
it's not that great. their 1500 is better some how.
it does charge in the phone btw, but it take a long time to charge.
The Ankers worked great for me. I got two plus a charger and now they are all I used. I used to carry two spare stock batteries around just in case. Now these two are it. I'd take two of these over three stock batteries any day, even though I know the math does not add up.
They do charge in the phone, but if I actually have to use the spare, then when I get home I charge one in the charger at the same time the phone charges the other. The phone charges faster than the charger, but maybe slower than it charges the stock battery.
I don't have a good way to test how much charge a battery holds though. Is there an app that tracks battery usage so I'd be able to tell how much more charge one battery has than another?
I bought the Anker 1800mAh batteries and charger for $17 on ebay (maybe cheaper, I don't remember). My wife uses it in her Epic and it easily lasts all day long, no issues. I find it to last almost as long as my stock 1800mAh battery does in my Epic Touch.
No issues with either one, recharging time isn't an issue since it'll last all day and it'll recharge overnight while we're sleeping... Plus that leaves us an 1800mAh and the stock 1500mAh batteries as spares...

I got them from amazon, 2 for $20 with the free charger. I've bought other batteries before but now can't imagine why anyone with an epic wouldn't get these.

I'm pretty happy with, Battery Monitor Widget
Ordered from Amazon
I just ordered the 2x1800 mah Anker batteries plus an external charger for about 27 bucks from Amazon. Can't wait to get them and try them out. I think I might've burned through my stock battery a bit faster than usual because it doesn't seem to hold a charge as well as it did, and I was always flashing ROMs and having to re-calibrate the battery every time.
Curiously enough, the stock battery issue seemed to be more pronounced when I went to EI22 and flashed the ACS ICS "F*** it, we'll do it live" v5.5 ROM
hmm....could be just in my head, though. It's a great ROM.
I just got the 2 Anker 1800mAh batteries with the external charger for $20 plus tax (still under $22 with free 2 day shipping using Amazon Prime).
This was a GREAT deal so far, and it's nice to have 2 spare batteries (one extra 1800 and the stock 1500 I've been using for the past year).
This is a bargain and I recommend anyone who has even thought for a sec about getting a spare battery to pick up this deal.
http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Batteri...GXR6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323157418&sr=8-1
The only downside I can see so far is that the battery is SLIGHTLY heavier, so the phone feels a little heavier than with the stock battery. I guess it's just physics.
Makes the phone feel more solid.
I had a 100% charge at noon today and so far with pretty heavy use, 12 hours later, I'm at about 44% which isn't bad. In the past I've had to charge in the middle of the day to avoid phone going dead at night.
Wow!! Anker-licious!
So I finally got my (w)Anker batteries in the mail and charged one up. I installed it, immediately booted to ACS Recovery 5 and wiped battery stats, rebooted, and I've been running the phone uninterrupted ever since. This was very early this morning.
So far so good!! Ten + hours and only at 76% after mostly idling, with some moderate Facebooking, Youtubing, and Bluetooth audio streaming thrown in.
Battery fits perfectly in my Epic and zero issues so far.
I wonder how it will behave after the break-in period of 4 to 5 cycles.
I use the anker 1800 in my wife's epic. It consistently gets 3+ hours over the stock. Well worth the $12 and a real upgrade for us as the stock battery would always give up around the 11hr mark and the same use she gets 14+ hrs w the 1800. Around 3 hour screen on time maybe.
Although in my nexus the anker 1600 seems worse than my stock battery. Worth a try but not an upgrade in a nexus.

Sorry bout that last "post" I was taking the back off my phone lol. Anyway, here's a question:
My wife got the Touch not too long ago. Before, she had what I'm using now, the Epic 4g. When she had the 4g, she was getting such crappy battery life that she bought an xtra one. When I adopted the Epic, she didn't want to give up the battery. (Don't ask me why, she's crazy) But she has been holding onto battery, afraid to put it into her SG2. From reading the posts in here, I'm assuming that she can use her xtra battery (1500mAh) in her SG2. Am I right? I'm sure she wont get nearly as long life as the 1800 that's in her phone now, but she could use the 1500 in a pinch couldn't she? (No matter what the answer is, I'm gonna tell her no so she'll pony up the xtra one lol) But just out of curiosity, would the 1500 work in the SG2?
Thanx,
Ridge

replacement battery

can anyone recommend a uk supplier for a bp6x battery that the milestone 2 recognises? or ideally a seller on ebay as i prefer to use paypal? i tried one that said "genuine motorola battery" when it arrived i plugged it in and the dreaded "?" appeared and the phone refused to recognise it. so it was obviously a fake. almost all the listings ive seen appear to be copies. i dont mind a non original aslong as its recognised by the phone and works... the only original battery seller i can see are second hand ones and id rather have a new one if possible. thanks
im interested to same problem ... so up +1!
Rule of thumb is don't buy batteries off ebay.
I was considering purchasing second hand ones, and even considered getting a droid 2 battery second hand, so at least it might be genuine moto, but thought better of it and feel validated with my choice.
At the end of the day, the battery can potentially fry your entire phone the second you connect it. You can't seem to get them direct from moto, but I'd suggest contacting your service provider and see if they can order genuine parts.
I suggest getting a portable charger for those outings where you know you will need some more battery life. Get a car charger, and if possible, a spare charger for work. Than most of your bases are covered and safer too
I'd purchased 2 from a seller on ebay and both work fine - no ? icon whatsoever, even though they're clearly fakes (no hologram). Will give it a week and see how they're lasting, and ill pass on the seller ID. They're handy to have as they can easily fit into a wallet and do wonders if you're getting tore into the Friday night scene.
ive got two spare chargers, and a car charger DreadpirateDan but my original is getting a bit knackered. itll jump from 80% to 40% in one go. then 40% down to nothing. doesnt last anywhere near aslong as it used too. so definitely time for a replacement. i got my phone on ebay so dont have a service provider to contact.
thanks gogz, let us know how u get on. i picked up one of the genuine second hand ones on ebay and it works fine. but its actually older than the one i originally had lol.

Holy moley that's crazy as, what do battery diagnostics tell you of your battery health etc? (if they even work, lol)
Also, have you tried battery calibration? That issue just sounds crazy, perhaps that might help?
EDIT:
Maybe you should get AnTuTu Tester off the market and run a battery test (will require your phone to be out of action for a few hours rapidly discharging though )
I scored 358 and am placed just above HTC HD2 and below LG Optimus 2X. The Galaxy S2 doesn't seem to have scored much more than me going by the bar graph - I've allways thought my battery to be shocking and potentially damaged health wise. So maybe that could give you an idicator as to how it's holding up, just for curiosity sake.
yeh tried that. the batterys just old thats all. theyre only good for a 1000 charges or something. so charging it couple times a day for over a year soon adds up. as they age the voltage becomes more erratic and it doesnt hold its charge.
I bought 2 original BP7X from ebay (and one bigger cover) and they are perfect.

BP7X is the way forward buddy. Can abuse the phone all day long and have 50% by the end with custom ROM and Juicedefender. I'm sure with light use you could get a week out of the thing.
ms2 is enough busty :F with bp7x and backcover is like to have a notebook in your pants.
i wish a batery that doesn't needs a backcover and works good without any block
This was were I got my batteries from guys. I've tested them both quite extensively over the holiday season and they have lasted well. Has proved to be a good investment actually as I sucked all the juice out of my phone taking 720 video at a gig over NYE and needed the phone to regroup after it. Hope this helps you. I also got one of those docks with the battery slot in the back to charge them up as a wee christmas present to myself too. I'm getting geeky in my auld age.
hey gogoz with that battery can u see how much % of juice remains ? and can u recharge it from your phone?
Yup. No problems on both counts there.
I have to say that I purchased one of those BP7x 1800mAh batteries and I am not impressed at all.
It barely makes 2 days without data connection always on.
Still I am using the phone underclocked at 800 mhz with screen on and everything forced at 300 when the screen is of wit setcpu.
It takes about 3 hours to burn 10% of charge
Well it only adds like 30% (or something?) extra life.. so if your normal life span used to be about 36 hours then 46 (barely 2 days) is just about right.
for replacement battery i would higly recommend "mugen" batteries. their average performance exceeds the OEMs. But if you go for the heavyweight usage, try their 3300mAh [HLI-A855XL] for milestone. not cheap though compared to ebay deals, but worth it quality wise.

hey let them completely discharge 3 times ( after it dies , wait about 5 minutes and power on the phone again let it power off)
don't let the battery charging over night . about a 3 hr and 30 mins to 4 hr will do.
i have a 1500 mA battery . it last me about a 1 with heavy use .( temple run , music , pandora , gps , text , photos , and reading )
Never try to let you batteries run completely dead. This will shorten the life of Li-Ion batteries. And feel free to let your batteries charge over night. When the battery gets charged fully the charging will stop or slow as needed. They will not overcharge. The charging systems of phones have their own regulation. Not sure where previous poster got his info. Guess his phone still uses NiCads.
Yet to see an extended battery for The Inspire with the custom cover. There is a battery pack that attaches to the back of the phone but I can't remember the make. There was big talk when they were released but I hear little about them now.

Not sure where previous poster got his info. Guess his phone still uses NiCads.
Yet to see an extended battery for The Inspire with the custom cover. There is a battery pack that attaches to the back of the phone but I can't remember the make. There was big talk when they were released but I hear little about them now.

that i read , is not good to let the battery over charge , that has happened to me, i have let it over charge overnight , after that the battery life gets reduce, i have an app call current monitor , after the battery reach 4.209 V . if i let sit there charging, the voltage starts to go down . ( maybe is the app)
with a 3 hour charge , i get about a day use out of the cell phone . letting the battery died the first three time you put it in the phone , i was told by th rep of the company that sold me the item , like i said before i get pretty good battery life , even with heavy use , now that temple run is in android . even more fun ..
Not that its a huge improvement over 1850 but the best I've seen for the inspire are 2000mAh, I just kept searching on ebay in 100 mAh increments until I got no results.

Sadly there are no "real" extended batteries for the inspire, they all have exaggerated
ratings, and the Powerskin is an external battery/case and I like my otterbox to much
to use it.

Has anyone tried the monoprice usb battery packs? Thinking of picking one up but need to think of some other stuff to get with it first to justify the shipping.

Be extra careful were you buy your extended life batteries from.. i ordered two and got what i paid for... they were 1850mAh which did last about 4 hours longer then the original but which one my camera didnt work... Said something to the tune of "Cannot use flash in cold weather conditions"... When i saw this for the first time i was like WTF its 80 degrees outside... then i changed batteries again and it worked... obviously something wrong in the battery.
It i probably worth spending a little more money on the battery to get better quality product.
saw this on ebay...2450mah
highest capacity ever for the HTC DESIRE HD or INSPIRE 4G
you can search on ebay for HTC DESIRE HD 2450mah...
not sure about it's performance, since it's made in china.
you are awesome

Probably not.
According to the DHD community the Mugen is the only trustworthy one, and that's at around 1650mah. The ones you see online are rarely what they claim to be.
1800 Andida good
Basically Mugen and Anker are the only good extended batteries it seems, and even then they don't seem to help much. D: I still wanna pick up an extra battery just in case for long trips, etc.
