[Q] Wi-Fi Channel 13 - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My wi-fi is running on channel 13, because I have big interference on most of the other channels i've tested so far...
no problem, my laptop runs fine, my droid 2 runs fine...
my transformer doesnt even find my wi-fi....
does anyone know a way to make the transformer also use channel 13?

I always thought wifi had only channels 1-11 available. Most standard routers only give those options. If you have a more advanced router that lets you choose 13, then awesome (that's new information for me); I wonder if some devices would have trouble with a frequency that far out of range?
I do know that how ever you set the frequency in the router, the device picks that up automatically. The two don't need matching frequency settings. And most newer routers have the option for auto-channel determining the least interference and changing dynamically.
All that said, I went to the wireless settings in my TF101 and the advanced is greyed out without the ability to modify any frequency.

Depends what country you live in The IEEE specifies up to 14 channels, only 11 are allowed the U.S. (FCC limit)
So technically you are not supposed to but the FCC inst going to do much about it, they are actually more after people with cell phone jamers nowadays
Usually routers with 3rd party firmware such as DD-WRT or Tomatoe allow you to use extra channels

Most standard routers, supplied in North America!
In Europe at least, we go to 13 channels.
That being said, yours must be best because "this one goes to 11!"
Regards,
Dave

Channel 13 seems to be the best for my house, at least according to wifi analyser. Has anyone sussed out how to get the TF101 to use it (in the UK), or is it just not possible?

Same problem here, even with the 3.1 update.
There's already an opened issue @ google : 16609 (can't post outside links yet)
Hope they'll fix it soon...

You won't because it only scans to IEEE 802.11 frequencies upto and including 2.462GHz (channels 1-11 center frequency band)
12=2.467
13=2.472

Its done on purpose, FCC mandates only channels 1-11 according to IEEE, so for a device to get approved by the FCC and to abide by laws by default it cant give you options to use anything above 11
Only bypass is someone implements it in a custom rom or (Cant verify) you use a European update which could brick your device but not sure

I had the same issue in the Netherlands. My TF101 only found channels 1-11 out of the box. I found a fix in an iconia thread, and applied it as soon as I rooted my TF101 (a must for this fix...).

Now I'm back to channel 13 and not bothered by my neighbours wifis anymore. Yay.

I tried it the other way :
the problem is bin\sqlite3 /system/bindoesn't exist, so how did you do?
I'm running now on Prime V1.5 (same as you)

We already discussed this problem in detail HERE.
It's a firmware issue ... Asus made a mistake with the WW firmware being identical to the US firmware regarding WiFi ... they should have implemented in the WiFi of the german firmware in the WW.
I highly recommend contacting Asus about this faux pas ... THEY need to correct the WW firmware and that ASAP !!!
My german TF works fine on chanels 1-13 ... channel 14 is forbidden in nearly all countries.

Thanks for pointing out this link. I used the fix_wifichannel_EU.bat file in the zip and now my wifi works on Channel 13.
Thanks again.

Finally, my downloaded files where corrupted. retried successfully with new download :
So I confirm : this patch works on EEE pad as well as on Acer.

EasyTether beta - a new free replacement for PDANet

I've just posted a thread in the Themes/Apps (non CDMA) forum about this new app that is apparently an awesome USB tethering solution.
Unfortunately, TMobile pulled a rather **** move and has blocked the download of this app in the US app market.
In the other Hero thread, I've asked someone from the UK market to download and send the APK through PM, and I hope that it will work.
My situation, like others in the CDMA Hero forum, sucks because my work blocks Adhoc Wireless so I can't use wifi tether for root users on my work laptop, and PDANet sucks because it replaces the HTC Usb Drivers, which breaks ADB and my development on my android apps.
This would be HUGE for us, and DAMN TMobile for doing that to the entire US. Here's a link to that thread, and info about the app.

***EDIT*** still available in the Sprint market (see below) So grab it while it's still there!
Sprint is not blocking this app. I still find that this app keeps a connection well but has really low speeds.

Can you clarify?
You have the option of keeping your USB driver on install, so it shouldn't interfere with your normal usage of ADB. The reason I asked you to clarify, however, was to see if you meant will it ADB while tethered. If THAT is your question, then I'm not sure, haven't tested that one.

I was referring to usage of adb in general. I don't know if both working simultaneously would add much value to me. You answered my question. Thank you.
Meh.. the 64-bit drivers are unsigned. This will only work on Win-7 64-bit if you manually disable running signed drivers each time you start.
I bought this app. Didn't download it from the market, but from their web page. They send a link to your phone to download the software, so even if the vendor blocks it in the market you can get the app. Not sure how you update it though bc I can't find the apk on their site.
Easytether gets good dl speeds, I average 1.5mb in downtown chicago, and I'm running vista ultimate 64bit (no Linux support, but my home network I just use ics and connectify), but there are still bugs with this software. The DNS resolves domain names, and web browsing works great, but other Apps like hava and slingplayer. Don't work at all. Apt can't find the repositories for installing software on debian which led me to the discovery that trying to ping any domain returns a timeout. Somehow the DNS only works for web browsing. Strange, but I'm pretty sure this is why my other Apps don't work. Ps3 connects up nicely with ics and I can play online games even With the udp support turned off.
All in all, nice software that has delayed me rooting yet again, but still a bit glitchy. Hoping they iron out he wrinkles soon. Oh, all my testing on the Droid btw
damn... dsl speeds are 1.5 mbs??
I guess I'm spoiled here at UMiami lol

I am using the Full, paid version (That I paid for of course *cough*) LOL And it is AMAZING!!! Let me say that it is the BEST i have EVER seen! Blows PDANet out of the competition!
1st. It works along side with the HTC Sync drivers (adb dev drivers) where as PDANet replaces them
2. WAY faster than PDANet
3. Cheaper
I was PMing Devs and asking them if they were going to enable MNS (Mobile Network Sharing) so I wouldn't have to worry about it, but now that EasyTether has showed up I don't even need MNS! When using PDANet, it would be a LOT slower than MNS, and EasyTether is just a TAD BIT slower, if it even is slower. Anyways, Definitely recommended!
Can someone post a link to the developers website. I'm a little confused because there are two 'EasyTether' apps in the Sprint Market and it's not clear which one I should be getting. Thanks!!!

Does anyone else's phone get hot while using this? It didn't get hot before...It always got hot with wireless tether. But never wired. I think my battery is fried.
I love the fact that I just plug the phone into usb and it starts working without dicking around with any settings. I was using the "1x race" workaround for MNS before upgrading to dc1.0. What a pain in the ass that was.
Seems just as fast as MNS was. I don't notice any speed difference. Also, my hero does not get hot using easy tether.

Ok, here comes the version 0.3 of my Ganbarou (頑張ろう [gambaroo] = Japanese for "Try your best!!") ROM.
This ROM is made for tablets like pov Mobii, Viewpad 10s, Smartsurfer 360 MN10U, that have an internal 3G modem and GPS. Of course it works on similar tablets like the Advent Vega, XVision, ...
My main goal is to get a ROM that gives full support to 3G and GPS and be as stable and fast as possible.
Download link:
Ganbarou ROM V0.3
Screenshots, changelog and tips:
Ganbarou (頑張ろう = Japanese for "Try your best!!") ROM V0.3
Changelog V0.3b
Added NTFS automount (Again many thanks to the_corvus for the scripts)
Changelog V0.3a
Fixed small bug with TPUtility. It crashed due to some wrong libraries.
Changelog V0.3
New kernel - CorvusKernel 0.2 (Many thanks to the_corvus for compiling a stock version of his very fast kernel)
Bluetooth problem solved
Changed file manager from Astro to standard Android file manager (taken from CM7 ROM).
Removed NI keyboard (can be downloaded and installed from here)
Name spelling corrected
Overclocking [source]:
Method 1:
Get SetCPU from the market (or here from XDA) and select autodetect on the first start (if you have started earlier, must press menu and press the left button "device"). Then you can move the slide to 1500000 (or whatever speed you want). You can define profiles as well. Seems to work on my ROM.
Method 2:
Download CPU Meter from market. It must detect the freqs and let you use them. Don't change any other parameter, use at your own risk.
USB host mode [source]:
Press power button, once display get power (you will see the difference), press back button and hold until finish booting.
Have fun and give me feedback.
And as usual: You use this ROM on your own risk. I am not responsible if you break your device, loose warranty, get into a fight with your wife or loose important company data from your SDcard.
THIS ROM RUNS BY DEFAULT ON 1.5GHZ OVERCLOCKING. GET SETCPU OR CPU METER FROM THE MARKET TO REGULATE THE SPEED. PERMANENT OVERCLOCKING MIGHT DAMAGE YOUR TABLET. YOU GOT THIS WARNING HERE AND I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF YOUR TABLET ENDS UP BURNING.

Thank you for this great Rom.
It is very fast and stable, without tweak.
But I have a problem: I would like to use my Huawei E1750 Dongle. Unfortunately it is not supported.
I have worked with him a AT-command. (AT^U2DIAG=0)
I can not create a new APN. The APN can not be stored.
3G and GPS I can enable.
I hope you can help.
In the German forum (http://www.android-hilfe.de/pov-mobii-tegra-tablet-10-2-advent-vega-forum/),
many would appreciate a Huawei Ünterstützung.

Hallo nach Deutschland!
Unfortunately there is not much I can do, either a specific dongle is supported by the included drivers or not.
But it seems there are people who got the E1750 working on the tablet.
Check T-Mobile Dongle for Advent vega.
Make sure you have the tablet in USB host mode by rebooting and pressing the back button from the moment the tablet starts booting until you see the lock-screen or launcher again. To check if you are in host mode you can use the gridhostmodeindicator.apk from ptbw.
Are the lights on the dongle going on and into a stable condition?
You can change and save an APN only if the connection to a provider is set. What provider are you using? Most German providers should be in the APN list already. You can check apns-conf.xml file in /system/etc to see if your provider is in with the correct settings.
Have to say, i have flashed just about every rom on the net for the Vega and this is the best yet. Flash is flawless and iplayer works just as it should. Have my Vega oc to 1.4ghz and all is good.
What plans do you have for future improvements?
Thanks, Dave.

Improvements will be more for users with internal 3G/GPS modem. Plan to have the 3G active automatically after boot and GPS selectable in the settings (which is greyed out today).
I am not really a cook, I just mod ROMs to my personal needs and sometimes other people like them as well.
There are a few bugs (like 216MHz hang, battery load hang) that I cannot fix, as I have no idea how to compile a kernel or a ROM.

The problem is definitely the E1750.
I've ordered a Huawei E172. Come back tomorrow.

I constantly had to suspend it.
Also, gallery won't allow you to set a wallpaper. This causes a forced close.

The first custom ROM for the Epic is now live! See this thread for details.
So a friend of mine got his hands on one of these, and since he asked me about flashing Gapps into the device, I was wondering if any one of you guys have been doing something just as "epic" for this children's tablet. And yes, I started this thread as a sort-of sequel/follow-up to the VTech Innotab Max thread I posted a year ago.

Much to my disappointment, LeapFrog didn't equip the tablet with a GPS module, and despite the potential privacy issues that may arise with including one, it could be legitimately used for certain applications like tracking the device or your son or daughter in case he/she gets lost. The usual backdoor leading to Developer Options is also disabled for some reason, though it can still be accessed through third-party utilities such as this. And maybe it's just my modded Epic, but beaming stuff from another device to an Epic using ShareIT appears to suffer from connection issues, i.e. the device is detected but the sender is unable to connect to it; a workaround for this would be sending a file or two from the Epic and then having the sender do the same from his/her device.
APKs from outside sources can be installed either through ADB or by downloading it on your device and installing as usual, not to mention that there's a semi-hidden feature (tucked away under the Parental Controls panel) that allows for the Amazon AppStore to be loaded. As for rooting, Kingoroot should do the trick from what I've read here, but you can manually install SuperSU on it if you prefer the more established root access app. ADB-wise, the latest debug and fastboot binaries should work on the device from what I can attest.

The above ZIPs are incremental patches used to update an existing system to a newer build; I couldn't seem to dig up a full system image, let alone a scatter file, for a bricked or bootlooping Epic to be restored back to factory condition though, but still I'm keeping this as a reference in case any one of you guys is interested in downloading them manually. Apparently "KOT49H.user.1.1.99.20150807.173011" is unique to demo units, hence why there weren't any updates available for my device when I ran the OTA utility.

The modifications to the way locale is set means that Bluetooth HID like keyboards can pair but cannot work since it cannot be set to be used for input (the options to change or add keyboard layouts is disabled in the Android settings screen and instead is selected from LeapFrog's own screen which divides the world into 7 regions- US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Other. When you pick Other it forces the UK keyboard and locale on you, which is ridiculous since some countries uses varying combinations of either (for example, Philippines uses US English 100%, while Malaysia uses UK English but US Keyboard). However bluetooth does work with A2DP devices.
Yeah, the CPU-Z and AnTuTu benchmark are my doing. I am the friend Blake mentioned. I should add that the device ran the Project Anarchy demo in AnTuTu somewhat well, averaging at 15fps.
MTK's spec sheet mentions that the SoC also has GPS and FM Radio, but I suspect that both are disconnected on the device since Android doesn't detect them.
The option to enable installation of packages from untrusted sources is still in the android security screen in settings tho, and you will be instructed to turn it on as part of the steps to install the Amazon AppStore.
I actually emailed LeapFrog as to whether they can release a tarball to the MTK kernel sources they used, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed but since they had a history of doing so in compliance with the GPL (c.f. the links to Didj/Leapster sources on eLinux provided by none other than LF themselves), I have high hopes for custom ROM development or at least some mods for the device.
Well, my only problem with the device is that the input method and locale selection is locked down and selected by the "Device Locale" screen, instead of allowing the much more granular selection allowed from the Android settings screen itself. I have determined that the same lockdown prevents bluetooth keyboards from pairing properly with the device. Also, several apps defaulted to downloading videos from UK servers instead (ie BabyFirst TV, Fisher-Price Puppy Player and Little People Player) and thus have what I perceive as "wrong voices".
I'm still waiting for LeapFrog's reply concerning the kernel sources, and if all goes well we'll be golden.
Good luck.
Well, drat. Leapfrog's asking me for a mailing address so they can send me the source CDs. Problem is I am wary of the postal servce here at my place, so is there anyone who's willing to get the sources?
So I bought one of these leap pad epics. Got it at toys r us. It was a return so open box. They gave it to me for $70 (they retail for $169.99+tax) because the last person who owned it left their passcode on it. I can't figure out how to get it off. Any ideas??
Hang in there. I've contacted Leapfrog via Facebook and am awaiting a reply.

Wouldn't doing the standard factory reset procedure be enough for that (as with those who ended up flinging way too many patterns on their device), or is there anything special that's needed to be done?
Okay, got a reply. Go into the parent screen to bring up the pin entry, then enter 4 1 9. Now, when your cursor is in the last textbox, hit the backspace and enter 2 7. Apparently this is a hidden backdoor that Leapfrog puts into the system for cases like these (ie improper returns).
I've tested it, entering 4 1 2 7 upfront doesn't work. It has to be 4 1 9 <backspace> 2 7.
As for doing a factory reset, well, It's a catch 22 situation- to get into the settings screen, you need to enter the password first - they actually modified the settings app. If you don't have the password, well, you're SOL unless you call Leapfrog support, who will probably give you this code anyway. If the ADB interface is up, you could probably do it from there, but I'm not sure if it is.
Hmm, now I'm wondering if there's someone who's up to doing an SP Flash Tool dump of the device.
Good news: RAMChYLD just got his hands on the source tarball, and as such he gave me a link to the ISO containing the kernel sources, ripped off the disc LeapFrog mailed to him recently:
Said link to the sources can be found on the first post, in case you guys are interested.
Actually, Blake did the bulk of the work, talking to Leapfrog and arranging the CD to be sent to me. But yeah.

Yup, pretty much. Though to tell you one thing, I was a bit worried that the sources either wouldn't arrive in time or not at all.

You can factory reset by holding down Power + Volume Up at boot.
Is any one of you guys here interested?

If you could provide an SP Flash Tool dump of the stock ROM it'll be golden., along with a TWRP/Clockwork recovery image. I really wish that I could get my hands on one, but the local Toys R Us here sells it for like twice the price even though it's just some glorified MediaTek device made with children in mind.

Does that work? They even went as far as to disable the ability to screenshot with power + volume down until I installed an app to re-enable it.

+1. The Asian importers for the device are charging way more for it over here than the device sell for in the US. It's going for an insane RM1000 at Toys R Us and Hamleys here. Which imo is ridiculous given that there are vendors selling (malware-laden) Chinese tablets for less than a fifth of that.

Introduction:
AdClear is a non-root ad blocker for Android devices. There's only one version of the app, and it's free. We released it at the end of December and are looking for feedback and help in making AdClear the best it can be.
Features:
Blocks encrypted ads
Works with Wi-Fi and cell data
Blocks ads in apps
Selective app filtering
Support for multiple browsers
Non-root
Log of blocked ads
Saves bandwidth and battery
Increases loading speeds online
How Does It Work?
AdClear is non-root, but it works on rooted phones just the same. AdClear creates a VPN on your device to filter out ad traffic before it reaches you on the web or in apps. The SSL certificate gets in the way of encrypted ads and filters them in the same way. This means the ad blocker can run in the background while you browse in whatever browser or app you want to use.
Who Are We?
SEVEN Networks actually has a pretty storied history on the mobile market--just in the background. We became pioneers in mobile messaging by inventing push-notified e-mail in the early '00s. We sold this feature to carriers and companies like Blackberry to put on their phones. In the same vein, we deployed e-mail to more than 550 devices in a time when OS platforms varied from phone to phone. As Android and iOS became the two primary platforms, we switched gears by creating Open Channel, which improved mobile network traffic by eliminating the need for constant syncing. We sold this technology to multiple carriers and even released a version on the Play store.
Recently, we've obviously taken sight of the developing market for ad blockers, and we realized we have some unique tools to bring to the table. Open Channel's fantastic resources gave us the ability to block encrypted ads and a huge data pool with which to build AdClear. We released AdClear on December 28, 2015, and we've been updating and upgrading it ever since.
"How Do You Make Money?"
The truth is, we don't right now. What we are doing is creating a source of analytics from our users in order to fix bugs and improve the app. This includes your device, android version, battery life, and app usage. You are assigned a UUID that completely separates you from your device and data, and there is no feasible way for us to personally identify you. If you'd like, uninstalling and reinstalling the app will give you a completely new UUID that cannot be connected to the previous one. We only use this to rapidly analyze and change our product.
In the future we may sell anonymized data to carriers, but that's one idea of many. That's part of what we want to know from you. This is a unique business plan for the ad blocking market. Would you be more inclined toward an acceptable ads or freemium model (premium being opting out of analytics)? Our main priority is to provide a high quality experience based on user suggestions to YOU at a high development pace. After a post we made on reddit got a bit of traction, we added a log, selectable app filter, and on/off switch based off of suggestions within the next few days. We want to get that type of feedback, that help, from XDA, and we're excited about the DEVDB platform. We've included the feature request and bug report sections and we hope that they are used! Either way, we're excited to have address these things with you in the comments.

working great on huawei p8. thanks

Ok, I have installed and uninstalled this three times. Each time, I get that it is installed properly. But, I keep getting a triangle warning in my status bar that says "network may be monitored by an unknown third party" . I have checked the ok to have it as a trusted credential. But, I don't think it is showing up in the trusted credentials in my security setting.
I don't see the C O credential. Why is it not installing the credentials? The ad blocking does seem to be working.
I am rooted, with Verizon's xt1254 phone using resurrection remix rom right now.
I also use the "mother of all adblocking" script (right word?).

The credential should be in the user tab under your security credentials. The third party notification is something we can't fix unfortunately. I believe it has something to do with the VPN being on. As far as your ROM, we have no real testing done on how we work with ROMs, so that may be an issue. That's something we want to have enough info on in the future to address. Please let us know to what extent the app is working and we'll see what we can do.

That's awesome to hear! We welcome any feedback you may have!
On screen off, vpn disconnects and doesn't reconnect on screen on. Adguard works fine though.
I have this on my Huawei P8 and I also get the occasional notification that vpn disconnected when screen is off. No mention of reconnecting but ads are still being blocked after this happened so I guess it's still working.
Is this apps work like adaway?

Hello, thanks for installing.
The notification is, at this time, normal because of the way Android handles the certs. It can be removed with root optionally but we can not do it on our end.

Thanks for the feedback,
I am very interested in this and have not seen this behavior before. We have attempted to replicate the issue but are unable. We currently do not have a Huawei P8 to test on but any more info on the phone would be greatly appreciated as well as steps to replicate. Replying with Android version, phone model, network you used (wifi or 4g, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the question,
If by like AdAway you mean both block ads then yes we are similar.
Where we differ is we do not require root to block the ads. This means we can not modify host files like AdAway does. Instead we block with and on-device VPN than filters all traffic through it and removes the ads before they are in your apps and browsers.

EDIT: seems my colleague got to it first!
There's no steps to replicate. I installed the app through Amazone app store.
I just put the phone down and after some time I notice a notification which states that vpn is disconnected. I can see this notification on my laptop as I have Airdroid installed which mirrors all android notifications to the laptop. So far all notifications came in while on home wifi.
Huawei P8 GRA-L09 android 5.0.1 on wifi. Haven't seen it happen yet while using 4g.
Vpn disconnects with screen off. And I meant adguard which uses the same vpn principle as adclear but their vpn doesn't keep shutting down. Which is why I've reverted to using it instead of adclear.

Our ticketing server is down right now, but we do know we've had issues with a Huawei phone running on 5.0.1 and its being worked on. We could possibly have a fix in our next update. I'll update you further when that server comes back online.

That's unfortunate. Could you give us your os version?
One thing you can try is to uninstall adclear and delete the certificate (if you installed it), then reboot and install again. I'm not sure if you tried to install multiple times, but that sometimes causes issues with the VPN.
Edit: Also, did this happen on wifi or lte/4g?

"It seems that burning Generic System Image (GSI) was mainstream until a while ago,
but GSI did not deal with notice LEDs, covers with magnets etc,
recently it only finally released Xiaomi kernel source , I decided to build it
for AICP-mordiford support myself, for example because MoKee 81.0 was released
and maintainers released the source . ROM is common to 8 inch version and 10 inch version (Plus).
Since we started publishing while waiting for Unlock, we have already received reports
of problems and defects from some users. Because there was a change on the side of MoKee,
there might be something like this, so it was saved. "
I tried to contact lindwurm without success . The information about this project is very hard to detect , because it does not exist in english language. I decided to create this thread as the information of existence this ROM exclusive for Mi Pad 4/Mi Pad 4 Plus. It is the best custom rom for this device because it is created by owner of this hardware. It includes fixes for hardware specific problems not existed on other devices . Because the roots of AICP are LOS , this ROM has many (maybe all) features good known in LOS .
I am using this ROM for a month on my Mi Pad 4 (WiFi only) and I am yet to find any bugs. Great job from Hota and the team.

thank you for a responce. When you will release next build, could you public release notes? It will be nice, but the rom seems to be finished and bug free. I am not able to report any problems. I have to check if lte modem and gps working, when I will cut my micro gsm card.
I read about problem with battery leaks by lte applications (LOS) in wifi only model. I have lte models only , but maybe someone else will write if this problem exists or not.
It is interesting, I used gsi aicp previously and I have problem with autorotation after some time of use. Your non-gsi seems to not have this problem.
Pie - nice to read it. Personally I will use Oreo as long as we will have working version of xposed for Pie.
Today I tested my mi pad 4 lte in antutu bench. The result was 90000 in last release of this rom (L Speed set to battery optimalisation).

How long does the table stay in standby mode with this rom ? It seem's that other roms suffer from standby mode not working properly.

At "balanced" it should be about 140k.

I have a card for use in new tablet. It does not work. My gsm operator does not use B20 at all, this can not be a problem. I am able to list possible to use operators , I select mine and I have information it is not avialable . The APN I have defined ok. Is it a problem of this rom ? Is someone using LTE without problem ? ( I tried with WiFi enabled and disabled and firewall disabled )

Can you give me some advice over how you optimize it? I would love to keep mine from getting buggy after awhile.
What to do?
1. I use automagic for automate interfaces managing.
I turn off wifi and mobile data on smartfons and wifi and gsm modem on tablets in the script. Additional IT turns off nfc, bluetooth... on every lcd lock. Turn it on, on lcd unlock and use only wifi if it is available.
2. L Speed lets me use device with battery optimalisation.
3. Use Greenify for restricted hibernation all not needed apps. You have to use it with xposed. (My email I synchronize manual in script after network back. If you see app was stopped change hibernation in it from normal to not deep.)
4. Wakelock Detector will monitor for detect problematic apps and hibernate it in Greenify. It worked for me some time in mordiford and stopped. Today I use BetterBattery for it.
5. Use AppOps or os build-in functions to set privilages for your apps. Cut auto start with system an do not let system sleep for all apps you know they do not need it.
6. If something autostarted after cut this privilage, uninstall it or use MyAndroidTolls[Xposed] for fight wit it without uninstall.
7. Use Netguard or other firewall for cut intertnet for apps like flashlight... which do not need it.
8. I suggest to use too the XPrivacyLua if yor privacy has any value. If you disable access to some info, you will be able to limit some activity too.
Like you see, you can do everything if you have root and xposed. I am sorry, but android pie(9) is useless today.
Edit.
I measured power consumption by mi pad 4.
1. Stand by : 14 mA
2. wifi off, lte off : 230 mA
3. wifi on, lte off: 250-350 mA
4. wifi off, lte on: 240 mA
5. wifi on, lte on: 290 mA
6. wifi on, lte off, youtube: 410 mA
7. wifi off, lte on, youtube: 420 mA
8. wifi on, lte on, youtube: 420 mA
It looks like normal use of the tablet consumes a lot of power. It does not look good. It is bad.

This is proffesional provider Plus with contract card and big limit. Pad 4 is not able to register to it's network.
I cut my old card to nano size. It is semi professional provider Aero2 and card is free with free internet with small limit. This card works at once without any problem. I have had to change prefered network type from global to lte/wcdma.
Does this rom have read/write speed slow problem. Is it better than mokee or MiUi rom?

that's weird, I only got these score, I don't use any modification and the tablet seem pretty laggy now. I'll try to clean flash the rom again.
I have very good battery life on the aicp_clover_o-13.1-mordiford-20181220 on my mipad4:
12 h SOT in 2 weeks standby. Best ever on my mipad. Good work!
A new build is available.
New build is up, and ...

Tasting a piece of pie... ?
We're working on Pie, and we "rebrand" it to FlokoROM. It is our fork of AICP-p, basically our works are same as mordiford...
