[Q] Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Stereo Headset - MW-600 / AVRCP 1.3 / Darky Rom 10 - Galaxy S I9000 Accessories

Hi,
I bought myself a Sony Ericsson MW-600 bluetooth stereo headset and it arrived today. I read that people had problems getting the track id display to come up on Android phones, but the media buttons worked.
I read that it worked fine on Gingerbread 2.3. I connected it to my phone and the media buttons work fine but the track display doesn't display. I have tried stock player, Songbird and MIUI Music players.
How can I verify the AVRCP protocol version in use on this ROM and does anyone know how to get 1.3 / 1.4 to work?
Darky Rom 10RC5.3, Darkcore 2.1, Lagfix On.
Thanks,
Burmo

Pretty sure the track display only works on SE phones. The protocol is probably not open source.
knowledge is Power. Guard it well.

Display does not work on X10 family either, not sure about Xperia Arc

Hi,
I have since found out that the Bluez Bluetooth stack, which is what Android uses, does not have support for AVRCP 1.3... so no Android phone has support for the track-id display...

Go here:

Click the star icon.
Wait patiently and say prayers

I have a defy, with 4.5.1-134 on Android 2.3.4 and the track id display works great. By the way the avrcp does nothing I would be happy with a change.

SMS and car handsfree

Hello,
I drive a BMW with car audio handsfree.
It works really nice with this device and all audio funtionalities are fully compatible.
I know that using a Sony Ericsson device is possible to see SMS received on the screen of the car handsfree.
I tried also with Nokia devices but this is not possible.
What Sony Ericsson does more than the other? And obviously is possible to understand what is missing in HTC HD2 bluetooth stack implementation to do the same?

[Q] Problem about AVRCP in N1

My phone is HD2 and installed the rom New Nexus One Android 2.2 Build FRG33 [ mccm v1.5](8.9.2010)
I found that i just couldn't use the buttoms on my bluetooth headset when im enjoying music.
what should i do with this problem?
thx for ur help!
I get this problem occasionally when I link my N1 w/ my car stereo. The controls don't work etc and it's not in audio streaming mode (ie. it's probably only using the Phone bluetooth profile and not the stereo audio profile as well). What I usually do is go into bluetooth settings, long click the device, and uncheck the bluetooth profiles. Then I recheck those profiles and reconnect the device. This usually fixes it. Of course, your problem could also be related to this HD2/Android hackery...

Bluetooth connection problem with sony Bluetooth headphone DR-BT50

Hi to all
Before I had nokia n97 and a sony DR-BT50 Bluetooth headphone which could connect to n97 and my laptop so easy.
after I buy samsung galaxy s I tried to connect the headphone but no way. the phone can not discover the bluetooth headphone
Before i was on Eclair and try it but could not, after I update to Froyo I had hope to make it work but the problem persists.
here are the bluetooth headphone specifications:
Bluetooth® Technology : Bluetooth Version 2.0
Diaphragm : PET
Function : A2DP, AVRCP, HFP (1.0), HSP (Ver. 1.1, Vol. 2, Part K:6)
Interface : A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP
I was wondering if this is a hardware matter or could connect phone to Bt headset by applying some update.
Anyone have any idea?
Hello! I have dr-bt50 and shw-m110s (korean galaxy). Before froyo i was able to pair devices and translate media to headset. No luck with voice calls though. After froyo pairing is successful too. But when i turn headset off, android forgets about a2dp profile associated with dr-bt50. So i have to unpair device, then pair it again EVERY TIME i want to listen to music or watch a video using headset. This is really sick.

I have a MW600 with SGS I9000, I never had any problems (Eclair included).
I'm currently on Froyo 2.2.1 XWJS5. But I have installed all leaked ROMs with no issues too.
I hope to help you.

Hi, MW600 works well on my SGS since Éclair. Are you pairing it correctly?
here are the instructions from the user guide:
Pairing the headset with another device
1)Make sure the headset is turned off.
2)Turn on the Bluetooth function in the other device
3)Place the other device within 20 cm (8 inches) of the headset.
4)Press and hold down the power on the headset for about 5 seconds until the pairing indicator appears on the display.
5)In the other device: Search for and add a new device.
6)If a passcode is required, enter 0000.
To reset your MW600
1)Make sure the headset is turned off.
2)Press and hold down the power until the pairing indication appears.
3)Simultaneously press and hold down power & call until the headset turns off.

Yes, all of the buttons and touch sensitive volume works. Did you try to reset the MW600?
MW600 can pair with 3 devices, maybe during the time that you tested it, your SGS was set as the "calling device" coz usually the first one if it is a phone or mp3 player will be set as the "music source".
You can either reset or manually set your SGS as the "music source" by long pressing the play button and selecting your SGS.

Thx
Problem solved by uninstalling 3trd party music player, must using the default player...
Oh yeah, is it safe to charge with the galaxy s charger ?

You don't have to reset the MW600 just to pair with another devise, you just need to power off and long press the power, I posted this, 3 posts above.
I tested this with PowerAMP music player and all the controls work.
I've charged mine using SGS charger and USB but I can't say if it's safe, I'm no expert in that.
I Swyped this on my Galaxy S
It seems that the headset sony DR-BT50 is working on XWJS5 rom but not working on the others such as JVP/JVQ, anyone knows which files are involved for bluetooth so port them from JS5 to JVQ ?

[Q] CM7 and bluetooth

Will bluetooth ever work on any version of cm7? I have had several different phones, xperia play, nexus s, lg optimus 3d, and now the infuse. I really like cm7 but without bluetooth its unusable. Is there any way to fix this or will there be?
Bluetooth works, it just doesn't support audio. This is because AOSP ROM's use an open-source BT 2.1 stack (supports things like Wiimotes), whereas Samsung ROM's use a proprietary BT 3.0 stack.
Free/open software can support BT audio. My kubuntu laptop plays audio just fine on my bt headphones, as does my desktop with a $2 2.1 BT adapter. My infuse was able to transfer files to my laptop at ~150-200 kB/s when it was stock froyo, but now it does 16kB/s, which is much less than a fifth of BT 1.2's peak bandwidth, or much less than 1/15 of BT 2.1+EDR's.
My phone with CM7 can also play audio on my headphones, but it stutters because it doesn't have the bandwidth.

[Q] Bluetooth AVRCP Support?

Got the Nexus 5 streaming music to my 2012 Toyota Camry, however the AVRCP profiles do not appear to be working correctly. No metadata, and no remote functions (car -> phone via BT). Anyone having any luck with this?
I had a Skyrocket before with CM10.0 (Android 4.1.2) that did the AVRCP profiles perfectly. I know the BlueZ change-over occurred directly after that, why I kept that version on my Skyrocket. I rolled back after it stopped working when I upgraded to CM10.1. But now on the Nexus 5 I'm "stuck" with KitKat.
Thought all this BT profile stuff was fixed in 4.3?
Most likely your Camry's radio will need a firmware update. I'm running into this with my 2010 Volkswagen GTI.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
That's the thing, the Camry worked fine with my Skyrocket which used AVRCP 1.3. Emailed Toyota and they said 1.3 is supported in the head unit. If KitKat truly supports AVRCP (even if it's 1.4) shouldn't it be compatible (backward compatible).
