The only time i get audio is with Bluetooth, nothing from speakers of 3.5mm jack. Any thoughts?
Interesting, I only get audio through speakers or headphones, but not through bluetooth..
this is crazy
So a factory data reset fixed it.

Me too.
Once I thought I met cases the same with title, but finally I found out that the device I used is headset instead of A2DP. Maybe in jimbo2412's case, the bluetooth device is not A2DP bug headset or hand free ?

So I can get the headset to pair up just fine. But call quality is nil. Anybody else seeing the same thing? Crappy Bluetooth stack?

BT works great for me in both my car (Clarion CZ-509) as well as my BT headset (Nokia BH-600). Volume and clarity have been excellent for both.

Sometime wifi interferes badly with bluetooth, is that on?
I have a Motorola H15, H17, Plantronics 855 and BB903. All work awesome. Only my Sennheiser VMX-100 has given me muted call problems.
Does the Transformer work with stereo Bluetooth headsets? I watch a lot of videos and the wired headsets are getting really annoying.
It works with the bluetooth earphones I bought years ago.
Not tested if the Mic works though

Thanks. The mic isn't important to me. I just want to be able to watch my videos without wires.
Music works fine but but I can't get google Talk or Sip client to route audio via BT

i have Sony DR-BT21G which pair for both phone and media playback, but i cannot get my Sennheiser PX 210 BT to pair with media. They pair with phone which is kind of useless since they don't have a mic, but i cannot get them to pair for music playback. The Sennheisers worked great on my Nokia N900. Gingerbread is supposed to tweak Bluetooth so i am waiting for OTA update from my carrier (Wind) before i experiment with ROMs.
SOLVED found an options menu for the headset, unchecked use for phone, checked, use for media, and it works GREAT!
UPDATE: Sennheiser remote controls do not work. No NEXT TRACK, PAUSE/PLAY etc.
No problem staying connected to my blueant v1 or my car. What ROM are you on?
Works well with my Moto S9-HD and 8xxPlantronics headsets, both for phone use and music. Didn't notice any difference after gb update from stock.
Has anyone lost sound out of the headphone jack.
works for me running prime 1.7

any ideas what to try?
Works fine for me (running stock).
Try pulling the headphone out slowly while listening for sound. Also have you tried different headphones/speakers?
3.2 stock, headphones working perfectly fine!
isn't muted, right?

Can you get sound out of the built in speakers? are you running stock 3.2? Do you have root?
Working fine for me on my stock unit.
Working fine for me too. I'd suspect you're either muted, or the headphone jack / headphones themselves are physically damaged.
+1 for headphones & speakers working fine one Stock 3.2. As with what everyone else is saying, try to troubleshoot and make sure all of your settings are correct: known working pair of headphones, volume turned up, headphones plugged in correctly, nothing inside the headphone jack (like dust bunny), sound works through regular speakers, etc.
Then if headphones still don't work through your headphone jack, probably something coincidentally went bad around the same time as your update to 3.2.
Good luck and let us know if all goes well or if you have to RMA it..
I can play music from the speakers but when I plug in headphones I hear sound for one second then nothing, this happens with all my headphone that work on other devices.

Sounds like your speaker jack might be bunk. But have you tried to wiggle it while the headphones are plugged into the jack? Maybe the headphone jack has a broken solder joint and if you wiggle it, you can make a connection. If this works, then you know the headphone jack inside is broken.
Then I'd called Asus and have them issue an RMA.

Do you get an indication in your notification area that headphones are plugged in? It should pop up in the lower right the moment you plug in your headphones saying 'Audio jack connected- audio jack is plugged in'.
Bestbuy replaced it for me, YEA no wait.
I did not see this listed here so I though I would let you all know about a nice device that will let you stream music and voice to your car using your aux port. I set this up in my car and love this device. I now have hand free voice calls in my car thanks to this device.
Voice - when you get a call the audio will come through your car speakers. The mic picks up your voice very will.
Sounds - The music quality sound great using this a phone with apt x support. I now only use my phone for all my music in may car. You an also use any app in your car. Google Music, Pandora .. ext.. will work in your car.
Just wanted to share this with you all. Best 40 bucks I have very spent.

Thanks for your input
I didnt have a bluetooth capable radio until now so I actually dont know how it works. Does this mean I wont be able to answer calls and listen to music simply by pairing the two devices through bluetooth?
Cheers

I think you can still use this just for audio and your raido for your bt calls. I know i cant be set like what for cars that have bt built into them. You may want to try out it. The audio quality for music is great. A lot better then just using standard bt
This accessory thing is awesome. I replaced my FM transmitter after I got a new car with an AUX port. Sound quality is infinitely better and best yet, this thing is very discrete, you can hide it on the dash behind the steering wheel so that it's in conspicuous. It matches my dash so it blends in

One question: if the car radio has a Aux In port why dont you just connect the S4 headphone jack to it, instead of using that device?

Because this thing isn't just a transmitter, it also has a mic so you can take calls. It's a handsfree device as well.

If you have a bluetooth enabled car, there is no reason for you to get this. But not all cars with AUX also have bluetooth. My car doesn't.

My car has Bluetooth for calls. And aux in which I use for music via the headphones jack. But this device is good because it means I can get rid of the headphones cable and use Bluetooth instead. Much tidier. And good quality audio too.

You still need a cable. There is a cable that is directly connected to the receiver. It's pretty long too, I had to wind it up.

Also remember that his is apt x support. even if you car has bt built in, your audio quality will not sound a good as this. I use this set up everyday now.
