Good evening folks.
I am following this http://www.techofweb.com/technology/root-asus-eee-pad-transformer.html to the letter.
WHen i power off, then power on holding power and volume up it does nothing. doesnt boot to recovery, does nothing. i have the file on the micro sd card, but nothing is happening.
ive rooted 3 other devices and know what im looking for, but this asus trans isnt doing anything.
thanks

You might want to read the OP before actually trying to ridicule someone.

Hold volume up and home buttons and power up to boot to recovery.
I did not discover this, just found it buried in a thread somewhere and thought it should have higher visibility.
Awesome find. Thanks!
Great job

On another note the menu back button is not working for me in cwm. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes, for some reason CWM is not recognizing the button mappings. It is on my TO-DO list

I hold the volume up and home key and then power till the samsung logo comes on, then release power. About 5 sec later I release volume up and home and it boots to CWR.
Hope this helps

If you scroll through the menu 3x it will enable go back. Once you select an option it will show up on the menu
Thanks OP for this info. Was able to test on a friend's Charge and it worked. Scrolling through the menu 3x also enabled the Go Back option in the menu.

*Noob* Honestly have been searching since 10:00am, it's now 5:30.
I was trying to install a rom on my phone and usually odin runs fine for me but it froze and I got p and hit my phone off the wire, now I cannot get it into download mode. I have tried holding the volume up and down for however long and it hasn't worked. I have held the volume buttons and the power button simultaneously but nothing can get it to go to download mode. Does anyone have any ideas?

ok, download for me is
taking battery out
plugging in usb cable
holding both vol up and down only
slapping the battery back in....
That used to work for me too, but now I'm stuck at the phone /!\ computer screen and that doesn't do any thing /: If i hold all buttons down the screen will blink black and that's it
The screen you've described is just an alternate download screen.

This might be too advanced for you, but if you're really desperate, you can try the solution in this thread. Haven't tried it myself but if you just follow the instructions, it might help you resurrect your phone. Good luck!

My case is just like your. I'm starting to think mine is burned something. Tragic.
Have a nearby technician check it up for you just to make sure. It "might" just be a battery problem, who knows. They got the tools to test it
okay i would do that
but the phone is just a year old and i had never problems with the battery :/ maybe my processer overheat or something?? because i overclocked it
Title pretty much sums everything up. Was trying to mod it following the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36348097 and unplugged the cable while in CWM like an idiot. Now the device will not shut down, nor will it be recognized by the computer. Battery pull is not possible with this thing either, unless I want to disassemble it while it's running. Pressing the power down button in CWM does nothing, and none of the other options work as well. Do I just have to wait a day for the battery to die, and will I be able to even use the watch then?

Indeed it did. Having a new issue though. Stuck in a bootloop when I tried the first instructions from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28179638 and can't seem to get out. Above command doesn't work.
EDIT: Fixed by waiting for the battery to drain, allowing me to boot into recovery, and used the adb commands to do the mod.
