Can anybody make this Home Launcher work on X10 - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

I did a system dump of the New Casio Commando for Verizon in the USA. I have pulled out alot of the apks and they work flawlessly on the X10.
The launcher installs but force closes on start. I tried to find a video of it running and all the unboxing videos barely show off the launcher and custom lockscreen.

http://www.androidcentral.com/casio-gzone-commando-rom-ripped-apart-forums

it's built with a minsdkversion of 8 and minandroidversion of 8, which is 2.2.1 or higher recommended. i cannot get this to install on 2.1 even with decompiling and changing the min-required versions to 3 (1.6 and up). it may work on wolf's or j's 2.2 roms if it's placed in system/app and the permissions changed.

What should the permissions be. I tried to install on xat cm6. Did not put in system

Tried it on trip miui iris. Moved to system and edited permissions. Force close. This thing is sweet. I hope somebody can figure it out.

Pushed in system/app and copied permissions of stock ARC launcher but still FC on Wolf CM v06, Maybe need to add a few mods in build.prop (just a guess)

i doubt any changes to build.prop would help. would have to change the app itself.

Mhm, you need to adb push the MMS.apk from a stock build.
I think i should make a nandroid backup and mess with it.

Yeah, always nandroid first.
Either take the MMS.apk from a AOSP one or find one attached on the forums and place it in your /tools directory of the sdk and push it
Or try out Handcent SMS
Attached is the AOSP Mms.apk for 2.1
I'm using it and it is indeed faster than the stock HTC one. Also, I recommend trying out ChompSMS or Handcent, as they are equally as fast and provide more features/customizability..
I'm using the AOSP Mms.apk and the lag while typing is completely gone.
I thought it was a problem with the 2.1 ROMs, but it's really just HTC's Mms.apk in their 2.1 release.
how did you guys do this? i am using fresh 2.1.1 and i just tried to do this but it didn't work. i removed the original fresh 2.1.1 mms.apk and adb pushed the mms.apk i found on one of the posts above. i saw the aosp vanilla messaging app but when i tried to open it, it was force closing on me each and every time. so i had to revert and push the original fresh 2.1.1 mms.apk back in there and everything is working fine again. am i missing something here? are any of you using fresh 2.1.1? or are you guys using something like darchdroid 2.7?
EDIT: i removed both Mms.apk and Mms.odex via SDK and adb pushed the Mms.apk grabbed from a few posts above and everything is working great now! thanks folks
thanks guys, i got it, i really appreciate the help.
Is there a way to change the black theme on the conversations list to a white theme? I like the white theme in threaded sms view, but I dont like how the page before that is a black theme.
And also, is there a way to get the SenseUI style SMS preview underneath the lockscreen arc with this? That is the only thing that has been keeping me on the SenseUI Messages app...
I'm running nfinite's stock deodexed ROM.

Default messaging app

Anyone know where I can get this? I was running cde aosp and I'm going to switch to the latest cog for a bit... I like the default android messaging app...if anyone knows where to get it and how to install it that would be great

You can replace the one in the Cognition Zip with one from the ASOP ROM before installing.
I attached the one from the ASOP_froyo_cm6 ROM.
If you've already installed cognition, just delete /system/app/Mms.apk then place the aosp Mms.apk in /system/app/ and reboot. I was successful using those steps.

[Q] Does pre-installed Swype APK work on CM7/9 ROMS?

I'm just asking because since rooting and trying out CM7 and EB 2.3.7 last fall I have been using the Swype beta as mentioned.
Now that I've learned a bit more about how these devices and their ROMS work, I was just curious if anyone knows if the preinstalled Swype will work on a CM7-based ROM.
The reason I ask is that I'm getting sick of the bar for word suggestions in the Swype beta always staying there even after you've selected a word. I have all word-suggestion related settings disabled but it doesn't go away and the original version didn't leave it up.
Guess worst-case I could just use Titanium backup to backup and delete the beta, then pull the original version off my first backup of the OTA 2.3.3 update ROM and install it on EB 2.3.7 right?
not sure if the original will work but ive been using swype from here.. V5 beta not for galaxy nexus... some pretty cool ones and ive had no problems with it.

Theres a swipe restore apk out there that will install the original Swipe as long as you have your original backup on your phone

Yes, you just need the original .apk and the libSwypeCore.so file

just in case anyone was wondering - this works just fine in ICS - yay no more bloody suggestion bar!

system/app from Galaxy Nexus (AOKP ROM)

I still have my Galaxy Nexus for a little while so I figured I'll upload the system/app folder from it.
I'm running AOKP rom on it so I'm not sure if that causes any issue or if it affects the system apps
https://www.box.com/s/8fe8698b7cc74dbbd1b6
EDIT: I'm posting this because I see lots of people asking for stock ICS apps...
??
I think he's posting it in case some people want to try swapping out some sense apps for aosp ics ones.
I miss AOKP

Hi thanks man i have installed some off the apps from this but not all off them work..
Like >.
1. Contacts
2. Calculator
i copied and pasted them in to /system/app/
and know i copied and pasted them in to /system/app/app and see what it dose ill update this post in few
i pushed Calendar.apk (renamed it to Calendar1.apk so it wouldn't overwrite the stock version), GoogleCalendar.apk, GoogleDeskClock.apk, Email.apk and Exchange.apk to /system/app. i also made sure the permissions were set as rw-r--r--. all were accessible after reboot. unfortunately, i couldn't edit/modify all of my calendar events with the ASOP calendar versions. email and Desk Clock worked on my device without issue.
How can we install the stock ics phone app?
Is it possible to have ICS folder instead of this HTC customized one?
The folders are built in to the sense framework. The only way to change them is using a different launcher.
Yes,I suppose So.
Has anyone tried the email and exchange apps from this?
