No, but the dev is a douche. He provided a new market entry and abandoned the old version of PSX4DROID. Basically he screwed everyone who bought his "old" app for $5!!! And a lot of the recent updates would be completely shoddy and break the most popular PSX games. Very, very sloppy.
Sent him a couple messages and got some cocky responses. I'm definitely venting now and sound like a douche bag myself, but when I'm not I talk eloquently, politely and describe the bugs via email instead of ranting in the Comments section. Didn't like his smug attitude one bit.
I have a Game Gripper for my Desire Z in the mail coming soon and it should be in any day. I'll purchase this app and leave a review once I have the motivation lol

Wow good point! i did see his or her's PSX4DROID then a PSX4DROID V2. Now i can say i totally understand were the hate is coming from and with good reason.

As far as performance goes: its amazing...you even have the option to enable frame skipping....
I mean, I have a 600mhz CPU and I am playing digimon world at full speed (some text is missing tough) and I can even play ridge racer which was impossible with psx4droid.
However, it sometimes randomly crashes on my phone...but since this has just been released it has great potential. Plus, the developer is very active in his forum and asks for feedback. He has already released three updates

dude this is the best playstation emulator. it has more smoother fps which is all you want really. overall a much better performance from fpse than from psx4droid in all games ive tested. (bought both versions of that lame emulator) amazing work.
was running castlevania sympthony of the night (favourite ps game) on my sgs with out any slow downs last night. keep up the good work.

I mean where are all the games? galaxy on fire 3 looks cool but got pushed back from april to may and well may is 2/3rds the way over... Man I didn't expect games to be pumping out but this is sloooooooooooow... Galaxy on fire 2 needs to be released..

I've actually purchased a few of the tegra games that are out now (including backbreaker). I had backbreaker for free when they gave it away on the amazon market a while ago.. so it made sense that when I updated to the g2x.. i'd just buy the tegra version. I am a football fan after all. It all comes down to preference people. Opinions aren't law... they're opinions.
Like the OP i'm waiting anxiously for more tegra supported games.. and ESPECIALLY for GoF2. Let's be objective though.. let's remember that tegra devices and honeycomb were announced in JANUARY.. it really hasn't been that long. I think we're all used to the ultra-high pace of the mobile industry and probably expect devs to move just as fast, but they need to wait on adoption. Bear in mind there are only 2 tegra based PHONES on the market.. and the only tegra tablet on the market was the xoom.. which came out 2 months ago... we've seen lots of announcments.. but no product in dev hands.. but now that I/O has happened (chuckle) give it another few months.. we're at the tip of the spear here guys.

They seem overly expensive. Which is why they wont sell much. If they were cheaper I think people would be all over them!

agreed.. some of them are a few bucks more than they're standard variety versions... it's a premium vs regular thing I guess.

Like i said.. there aren't may tegra devices and the reason the regular versions are so low is because theres a bigger market so they sell way more. maybe we'll see the prices come down as more people get tegra tablets and phones eh?

I definitely agree with the OP. I travel a lot for business and mostly international, so having something to kill time on layovers etc is priceless. So far the tegra zone games are decent at best, and when compared to iOS their pretty weak. Even gameloft games play significantly better on iOS, maybe because the game was just a crappy port. But still with our phones able to pump out 2x the fps, there's no excuse imo.

Like i said.i don't expect tons, but when galaxy on fire 2 has been it on ios for 2 years now and its being pushed back for android on a gaming cpu is crap, especially since developers are supposed to be developing for it...
So, lets hope when the dx and a few other tegra devices are released then maybe things will get rolling more... I mean 1 game came out in the month I've owned this device and one got pulled, and another got pushed back...
When we have a gaming device I expect more.the tegra should have done killer games. Honestly though nothing out in the zone at this moment is any better than gameloft... At least release galaxy on fire 2 on time ya know.. I just figured there would be a few more..
Edit: noticed my first train set was 10+ a few days ago now its 5 bucks...lol thats good.

Tegra games smedra games! ...I don't really care for the "Made for" such and such device type of games as long I get great titles that run fine on my device. Which I have yet to have an issue with the MANY pirated games I have I am not at a loss at all.
Enjoy what you have and the phone has only been out for a month.... learn to wait. Also OP....why so mad bra?

Riptide is sick and I like being able to open tegra zone and find all the nvidia specific apps.

So far I have took the refund on every single game I have downloaded from tegra zone. Really the only game that looks like a real winner is Galaxy on Fire as someone mentioned before.

Hey guys I saw no slickdeals that the price of the HP Touchpad is dropping 300 bucks tomorrow cause they dropped it! I called to confirm and its true, I bought 3 for the full price and they 100% guaranteed that I would be given credit when the price adjust tomorrow at 7AM EST.

I don't know about the hackability but I'll tell you this tab handles flash like a boss. Its the only one I've seen that can do 1080p youtube without a hitch. And I dunno, they are killing off the touchpad itself but they want to keep webOS alive, I don't really know what that means for webOS on the tab.

Uh, I've heard that someone is making progress with ubuntu but I've seen nothing on android. And its probably not gonna happen for all I know cause isn't honeycomb based on tegra?

So I can just buy this to just surf the internet? If so, I am ready to buy a couple.

Target and amazon both had it but they sold out in minutes. I don't know but maybe bestbuy might have it tomorrow, I say this because Bestbuy Canada had the $100 price online.

Honeycomb has been ported to the galaxy s line, galaxy tab and evo... Probably more too, I think Nook. So... Maybe it's possible?

I'm DEFINITELY buying one and I'm sure ICS can be ported to it when the time comes since the source will be released for it. This is a SNAPDRAGON QUALCOMM CPU and GPU and HTC uses that for their CPU/GPUs so I don't see why it's not possible, someone would have to write a kernel from scratch though to make it smoother, just like how the HD2 has Android, but it's not perfect since it's not using it's own kernel. If someone actually takes the time to unlock the bootloader(if it isn't already unlocked) and write up a kernel for it and port ICS to it, this tablet can be badass ;D $99 Android Tablet with ICS pl0x.

Im really hoping for an android port. The specs on this tab are actually quite good. Im probably going to end up keeping it regardless. I'll probably just end up using it for bedside web-browsing, movies, and music.
There's a killing to be made by porting android to this thing. thousands of people just picked up this thing on slickdeals (there are literally over 11k browsing right now). I know tons are willing to donate (im good for 10$-20$ myself depending on quality and progress)

Basically what it says. Im getting a newer samsung device and im wondering if my family of infusers would help me out. Ive heard theres not much performance difference other than the quad core. And i can get a note for cheap new (like 200-300 dollars) the screen size doesnt matter as i love big phones (first android was dell streak 5) and the ics with no bluetooth i cant do for much longer. So have at the discussing haha

I can see why there so cheap in china, someone probably gets truck loads for free the they sell them at a low price to sell them quickly. You should look into it. Choose Note....its awesome.... combination of the phone features and that of the tablet, plus the high speed.
Its best upgrade ever.But make sure you dont have problem with such big size of phone.

Haha, i don't at all, i came from the dell streak 5 and anything smaller than my infuse upgrade would have left a bad taste in my mouth. Can't wait till my note comes in.

I would go for the Note. There is not much difference between the two and the Note may be older, but it is cheaper.

I completely understand where everyone is coming from about the Note.. It's the biggest and relatively slimmest phone out there, however, there is just something about the New GalaxyS3 that is just sexy to me, the HDAMOLED screen everything, not to mention you know it'll be the phone they don't throw away after a couple of months of it being out.. "Cough" Infuse "Cough" lol... j/k.. but really, it's like having someone ask you, "Would you rather sleep with a Victoria Secret Model 'A' or Victoria Secret Model 'B'." lol.. It doesn't really matter, they're both Victoria Secret Models so they're both obviously sexy, so it just comes down to personal preference, Blondes, Brunettes or Gingers.. lol.. General Android News: Jellybean 4.1 and Nexus Tablet

Google’s $199 “Nexus tablet“, that we first reported on back in March, appeared online this week in Rightware’s Basemark ES 2.0 Taiji benchmark test. Most of the details revealed in the benchmark match up with what was previous reported. sounds like a sweet tablet for $200. id take this over a Kindle fire anyday! they found a benchmark that shows its specs. Also shows a version number JRN51B showing the J for Jellybean
What’s new in this benchmark result is the Android version 4.1. Rightware tells us this is the only device they have ever seen to include Android 4.1. The device also featured a software build number JRN51B, which is important because J represents Jelly Bean.
Some of us had speculated that Jelly Bean would be a major release and become Android 5.0, but this new evidence suggest it will be more of a minor update and be labeled Android 4.1. 7 is fine, man. my 7 inch evo view rocks, especially for reading. 10 inch tablets are WAY too big, IMO

yeah im not complaining. i have a nook color somewhere and its 7". its great but my touchpad is better

7" would be fine since it is roughly 16:9. My iPad is what, 9.7" I think at 4:3 so there is a ton of black bar space when watching video.

7 inch is way better honestly. I sold my transformer for this flyer, don't miss it at all, aside from all the development. If that nexus tablet really will be 200, I'll sell this thing for around the same price and just pick up a brand new nexus. I'm hoping for huge development. Plus, its confirmed this flyer will never see official HTC ics, and aosp doesn't seem like a very big potential. I love HTC build quality, 10x better than Asus, but I think with the specs and nexus name it'll be worth it.

i like HTC but i wouldnt say 10x better. the prime looks REALLY good. if i had the money, id already own one. i may sell my touchpad for like $100 and pony up the rest for this. 10" is a bit big.

A nexus tablet ? Im sure the development will be insane, game changing hopefully.

as long as asus gives us the right tools to start with. a good open source community and the ability to FULLY unlock and none of this s-on/s-off stuff.

as long as asus gives us the right tools to start with. a good open source community and the ability to FULLY unlock and none of this s-on/s-off stuff.

Asus is a lot different when it comes to the boot loader stuff, and there really isn't an s on, or s off thing. Its really weird to get used to after being around HTC for so long. All I know, is that when I rooted my transformer, it just took a few adb commands. No rebooting over and over, or anything, like with the Inc, or wire stuff with this phone. But as for quality, at least with the original tf101, the quality was honestly terrible. It creaked on every side, because of the plastic cover, and because of the ips screen, there was light bleed with almost every model of it produced. It sucks when you see it for the first time, because after that you can never unsee it. I mean, its only on black screens, but it just gets on my nerves. It seems like they're doing much better with the tf201, and tf300 now though. Let's just hope Google kicked them straight and put enough strain on them to produce way better quality than they usually do.

What I want to know is how they can sell this kind of hardware unsubsidized for $200, but any off contract smartphone with lower specs will still cost $600.
