http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13099161&postcount=412

Yeah...i was tried this ....but can't download the file...the site there nothing to get...
And i get the stock blurhome.apk, no succes too, don't install, say it "file not installed"...
Idk what can be...
Sent from my A953 using XDA Premium App

what you have to do is to get blurhome.apk, go to system/app, delete launcher.apk and replace it with blurhome.apk, not to install it. Make sure to install another home app like launcherpro or golauncher while you do that.

yeah...i make this..i tried ....but i dont know why doesnt work..i will keep trying...

Done in 1.9, many users could not follow my guide to restore the stock launcher.

Just a question, why restore the stock launcher when its laggy?

LatinIME.apk | Gingerbread 2.3.4 Keyboard MOD | PlayDark

Hey Guys,
I themed a 2.3.4 Gingerbread keyboard for our x10's. It's modified with some nice sexy dark colours. This MOD is only for Gingerbread ROM's, could maybe work on Froyo/Eclair ROM's but I'm not sure. I never used Gingerbread keyboards on Froyo/Eclair, so I'm not sure of it. PLEASE DON'T REPORT IF IT DOESN'T WORK ON FROYO/ECLAIR. It is made FOR GINGERBREAD/CM7.
If you face any graphical issues, report it in this thread. PM's relating to this Mod will not be replied, report/ask everything here in this thread!
To install the Keyboard, put the LatinIME.apk in system/app and set the right permissions. Don't forget to back-up since this is my first .apk!
50% of the credits for this .apk go to pvyParts. He compiled and signed the .apk properly, since I couldn't do it right. Let's hope it works now!
I haven't tested this Keyboard, so give me results, feedback and eventual pictures of it in action!
Best regards,
PlayGunsta
not a tester but....yes, work on froyo. im using it right now =) i dl it someone in the forum =p
EDIT: cant wait to use it =)
Added apk, instead of waiting for pms!

Samsung Keyboard apk

Can someone post the apk for their international version of the Note? I love the fact it has a full dedicated number row but the AT&T version does not have a dedicated number row and I would like to replace it if possible.
Here is the link.
Code:

You wouldnt be able to install it since its a system apk. You will have to replace the apk under system/app using root explorer or similar

Oh yeah, good point. I haven't rooted yet, waiting til there's more features on the AT&T version.
try rooting and replacing samsung keyboard.apk using root explorer
Thats gives a FC error, would be nice to have this keyboard on ICS. I guess we jsut have to wait for the official release.
Ok just a thought. You guys trying to replace the samsung keyboard, are you on a odex or deodex rom?If you are on an odex rom, after replacing keyboard did you delete the odex file of the old keyboard? It is in /system/app and has the same name as the keyboard with type .odex.Did you give to the new keyboard the correct permissions rw-r--r-- and reboot your phone?I am on cm9 ics rom so i can not check it

Thanks, however it seems thats not the issue. It jsut gives a force close once i select it as the input method. What else does the keyboard need? Maybe something to do with touchwiz?
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing.
in order for the axt9ime to work you need also
system/etc/permissions/touchwiz.xml
system/lib/libdhwr.so

facebook home?

What are the chances of.the infuse.getting a working Facebook home apk? Everytime I.try to.install the apk in.the rar file they have it.comes up with a failed parsing problem ... any solutions? Please and thank.you.
Go to the xda main page. There is an article with a link to a thread with a modified apk that works. I had it up and running on my phone earlier. I'm running beanstalk as a ROM. Worked fine but that's just to much Facebook for me. Ha.

i'm guessing here...assuming all else is running correctly:
if you have the facebook home apk on your internal or external sd card, and try to install and you get a parsing error, it is because the app was design to run on a different android platform.
ex: trying to run a apk design for ics or jb on a gb.
ex: if you are on gb, and look for an app on google play and it doesn't show up, it's because it already know your platform is not compatible. side loading will result in error.

Transparent App menu

Hi,
I've seen guides on how to code etc, but tt's not my thing....
Now what I'd want, and hope tt someone can help me with, is the following:
The menu which shows jour installed apks, widgets and favorites has a nasty black background (like the dropdown menu btw). Any easy solution for a no-programmer to have this transparent ?
Thanks for the help,
Cheers

If you're rooted, attach the homescreen.apk and I'll take care of the mod for you. I haven't personally done it since I'm not bothered by the black bg but I'm capable of doing it. All you'll have to do is switch the stock one with the modified one

Here's the Homescreen.apk
Push it to system/apps & fix permissions to match with your current homescreen.apk
