Hello,
People, who wins for best phone in these 3?
I´m waiting for a HTC 7 Trophy, but one friend want HTC Evo 4G or HD2...
Regards
Leo all the way!
Almost same specs as newer devices and you can boot WM/Android and soon WP7
For a detailed comparative see here
Nice, i like the trophy, but its a newer phone, and almost nothing to do with it...
Like the leo too, i want it before, but i make a great deal with trophy...
Lets see.
Regards
ok so i have an htc inspire 4g running on at&t and i love it but ive been looking at the htc hd2 for quite sometime now and all of the things you can do with it(wp7,android,etc) so im considering selling my htc inspire to get an hd2 then using the left over money to buy an iphone 3gs for a backup and for games is this a good idea
an HD2 is a great buy! However, asking about buying an iPhone on XDA is bound to get a predictable answer
So I've been eyeing this phone for a while since I first heard about it but I don't have the money to just buy it right now. Ever since my first Android phone I've been a fan of HTC phones. I started off with the mytouch 3g 1.2 and then progress to the mytouch 4g. Now I'm considering the Sensation as my next phone but I'm not sure about it because I have yet to play with the phone in person.
My personal choice of dual core phones right now are either the Samsung Galaxy S II or the HTC Sensation and honestly I would rather have the Sensation because of the Notification LED and because I like HTC phones. However those aren't the only reasons I would choose the Sensation.
I was wondering what you guys thought of the phone? Is the phone worth it? Is there anything that's bad about the phone? What about good things?

There are plenty of threads like this already. I'm sure if you search through them you will find that because you asked this in a sensation forum most people are going to say yes the sensation is better. Htc's build quality is far better Imo. I would rather have the qhd screen instead of that super colorful screen that the gs2 has. It makes things look fake to me. Plus somebody just mentioned that CM7 is getting "sensational" =D

I had a Nexus One last year....
Got a G2X this year and HATED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.
I got this phone and the only complaints I have are: I don't like HTC Sense, and boot-loader is locked. I'd much rather have vanilla Android. Build quality is far superior to the other phones listed.
I have to say hat the Sensation is a very nice phone, especially compared to the g2x, which I traded for it. And I too, am a big fan of HTC phones. But I have to say that outta all of the HTC phones I've had... G1, MyTouch 3g, Nexus 1, HD2, and G2... the Sensation is both the best AND the worst out of them all. I actually use my G2 more than the Sensation. I'm only keeping it because like the HD2, I'm sure that later on down the line as development progresses it'll be an awesome device. But as of the time being, it really does nothing that I can't do on my G2.(.02¢)

now i have a HTC HD2 but i think about an update so i cant decide which phone i should buy
which would you buy : 1. HTC Sensation
2. HTC EVO 3D
3. HTC DESIRE S
4. Nexus S
?
HTC Sensation!
The EVO 3D is bulky, the 3D is a work-in-progress, and it's a tad ugly.
The Desire S is single-core, less powerful, no Sense 3.0, lesser camera.
The Nexus is soon to be replaced, vanilla Android, and lacking Sense.
The only gripe about the Sensation is battery life. A cheap Anker battery (which fits inside existing case) easily sorts that out.

This was not one of your choices but...none of them. As a former HD2 user, I like the new slimmer 4.3 version of the Sensation but i love/miss how the slightly wider hd2 fit in my hand. There are a lot of little things too, but i am not posting to bash the Sensation. HTC is having a show on the 20th to announce new phones. If you can hold out, wait two more months. Your selection and specs will be much better. just my .02.
Im getting a sensation monday as my replacment for my pos g2x looking forward to it

Hi, I'm also coming from HD2, and I gatta tell you.. nothing now and the near future can compare to the HD2, that said, the Sensation its the best choice, I thought about the Evo 3D but when I looked at it and its "3D" pictures... made my eyes and head go crazy and hurts! (for me and my wife) that was a no go for both of us, after reading here about the Sensation and all, we got 2 of them, however the speed of the phone sucked a$$... now I have MIUI and it gives me about 435 MB of RAM FREE!!!! (stock) that is FAST!!!
I'm gonna kind of echo Tech-N9ne here. I often miss my HD2(and I still use it sometimes) just because of the in-hand feel & big screen(despite the 4.3" screen on the sensation, it's still clearly smaller than the HD2's) but the Sensation is the best choice of the three you listed. The 3d camera on the evo is really just a gimmick, can you say migraine? Lol... the Sensation has a much better camera & once you slap a custom rom on it it really flies. It's a great little phone. It all depends on what's most important to you in a phone though & what service is best in your area.
That said, I AM thinking about selling it in a couple months & putting the money toward either a Hercules or a Samsung Galaxy Note when it comes out. I like my Sensation, but I am an unapologetic screen-size whore. The bigger the better xD
my opinion is the sensation the best one... i have it
buy Sensation
i hope you enjoy your new Sensation best choise you made

Thanks me too
I already have the Sensation and thinking of buying the Sensation XE.
I was wondering if I can S-Off it with Alpharevx's tool or is Sensation XE shipped already S-OFF by HTC ?

Hi,
You would not want it to be done by HTC,because you could not then remove it.
However, Revolutioary works fine on XE phones, and if you want to reverse it ,you can.
Check my sig for s-off guide.
Anyway, why would you want XE if you already have a Sensation.
They are the same phone.
I had to S-OFF mine

Thanks for the info...
I don't like to hang on to a phone more than 4-5 months , I have had my Sensation since April and I am kind of bored with it I think a RED Colour improvement could be fine Otherwise my Sensation is working perfectly well .
It just that I am bored and now I am itching to buy a new phone and unfortunately HTC did not come up with another alternative.
Until HTC come up with a new model, I thought of buying the SGS II or iPhone 4S , but I don't know why I am allergic to all "iPhone" and all "i" family and I don't like the Samsung phones. So I think the best choice is the Sensation XE
What about Evo 3D , should I buy the XE or Evo 3D ? What do you guys think ?

Sensation and the XE is about the same with the exception of a higher cpu frequency and beats audio tech... so aint much of a diff... if you're dying to change your phone why not wait awhile for the galaxy nexus?

I like the "SENSE 3.0/3.5" and HTC itself .
Since my first HTC, HTC Touch Pro in 2008 , I did not buy any other brands apart from HTC ...

I can respect that... well if thats the case then the 3d is the way to go... if you want to get the XE you could just flash one of the roms... that way you have best of both i guess...
Hi , just saw your message.
I was going to buy the Evo 3D earlier , but according to the tests I reviewed out of the 3 phones ( Sensation, Sensation XE, Evo 3D) Evo 3D seems like the slowest . So I decided to not to buy the Evo 3D
Anyway, yesterday I bought the Sensation XE already , seems a little slower than my Sensation somehow.

You where told correct, maybe try flashing custom kernel to get more speed, I recommend bricked 1.6 beta 6 as the most stable
