Saw this on the TV this morning , thought it was an amazing idea especially if you do any commerce where you would love the option to take a credit card, personally might be nice if you sell stuff on craigslist, flea markets etc
Designed by 1 of the founders of twitter!
Free for the card reader and to sign up , they do get you for 2.75 -3.5% plus 15cents per transaction.
But im sure it would add options for people to pay and create more sales?

** app worked well on my tab and evo awaiting the card reader
Excellent stuff. Though i hope they launch it here in th UK sometime soon.

Been out a while, have asked them numerous times via email, twitter etc if it's coming out in the UK but never had a single response!
Maff, from my Tab
Been using it for a couple months now... It's pretty frickin epic! I wish the doe would go directly into my paypal account... but hey...
Hi
Is there anyway to sell in market from non supported country?
anyone?
10char
Its convoluted. Essentially you offer up a free app that becomes crippleware after so long. Then you have to have a site that can take payments to create a full product via a registration system. I would just keep bugging google or market through outside merchant.

I just got one from this site. It totaled to $68.48 shipped (with coupon code that is good until May 16th I think).
(can't post link yet, but go to puremobile[dot]com and search for the media link)
Edit: the coupon code is on the page for the item.

reseller ratings arent so great for this seller
I already have a tracking number from them about 2 hours after I placed the order. I'll update once I get it in the mail in two days.
I have a Samsung MHL adapter that does the same thing and i paid $18 on ebay for it.
Is there any difference?
Just ordered mine from AT&T with free 2 day shipping.

I just used an old discount code for 50% and it took it! We'll see if I actually get it of course. LOL. With that in mind, I went through PayPal just in case.

HAHA WIN! Please do a review once you guys get your hands on them!
Great to see our coupon being spread around, it is in fact available until May 16th.
In some cases, we lose money - like the HTC Media Link, with the discount it is below our cost. Why do we offer it? We're doing a little benchmark.
In Canada we're #1 in Telecommunication accessories. We're the largest distributor and often have exclusive rights to some products / pricing.
In USA we're part of the Top 5 in accessories.
Our website uses minimum 128-bit encryption, so you can be rest assured that it is secure. If you want the extra security, simply checkout with PayPal and get the Buyer Protection from PayPal.

In response to resellerratings.com - this website is not a great source for the real reviews. Why? Because this website allows anyone to register and submit a review. If you read them, a lot of them are around the same time with the slightly altered writing. I will say we've caught a few of our competitors trying to slander our name, and we've confirmed many of submissions were in fact submitted by them.
If you want the real deal - check out the reviews from ACTUAL customers.
Visit our website and check out our ratings from; Amazon, Shopping.com and PriceGrabber. (located at the bottom of every page)
You'll see we range between 4 and 5 stars. Average rating of 4.75.
Rest assured we're here to offering the best products, the best pricing and most of all a personalized customer experience.
Best part? Spend $100, you get $10 back for more accessories as part of our loyalty program. Also get additional points for reviews, inviting friends and more.
Thanks for taking the time to hear us out for what we really are.
If I got this straight this will allow you to mirror you phone via wireless on any tv that has an HDMI port. Is this correct? If it is than this is awesome. You can turn any tv with an HDMI port into an android system

Will you be carrying the HTC Car StereoClip anytime soon ?
Thx
I got mine and just finished testing it out. So far this is what it's like:
-The feature to be able to still use the phone be able to lock it during video playback only applies to when you're viewing videos and photos through the gallery app or streaming video through htc's media hub.
-When watching videos saved locally on the device it seems to run totally smooth.
-When streaming, the video is smooth, but the audio quality is off. Whenever someone talks it sounds like they took a lung full of helium. I tried this on netflix, youtube (app and browser), as well as some other video sites.
-The thing that'll probably be a problem for me the most is that during video playback, I experienced popping noises from the audio (both streaming videos from the internet and watching locally stored videos). Hopefully this can fix this with a software update.
Besides those points above, setting up was insanely easy. Just plug it in, push the button to turn on and swipe three fingers up on the phone. That's it!
Edit: Just tested netflix again and now everything is perfectly fine. Sound is perfect with no odd sounding voices and no popping. Totally perfect!

I know things have changed since back in the day, but does this now mean XDA-Developers in now fully legit?

It does not surprise me really
We have been always a reference, since 2003
it just shows how poor their capability of handling customer concerns.
thumps up for xda though for being able to provide what we need.

OmniBeam playstore link (United States only)
If any of you have talked to Dave Beebe about his Mobeam technology and partnership with Samsung to include it in the Galaxy S4, you probably also got this E-mail today:
I’m pleased to announce that OmniBeam, the first app to include mobeam’s patented beaming technology, is now available for free download from Google Play..
Discover coupons from the brands you love and store all of your loyalty, membership and gift cards in your Samsung Galaxy S4.
Using mobeam’s patented beaming technology, OmniBeam lets you use your phone to redeem coupons, provide your loyalty/membership details –even pay for your purchase using a gift card, – regardless of what type of scanner your favorite retailer uses. OmniBeam uses a light on your phone to “beam” the black-and-white pattern of a barcode directly into the scanner. Simply select your card, push the Beam button and point your phone’s screen at the scanner. Now you really can leave all those plastic cards and key tags at home!
Save money on your groceries too! OmniBeam includes SavingStar’s digital grocery coupons from top brands – redeemable at over 24,000 locations around the US. Simply “clip” the coupons in OmniBeam, then watch the savings add up when you use your loyalty card. The money you save can be deposited directly to your bank account, added to a PayPal account, or sent to you as an Amazon gift card.
Welcome to mobeam!

I'm going to download it when I get back home and try it out. I'd love to see some other people post results of using it while shopping or adding membership/gift cards.

Hi folks,
I thought I'd clear the air a bit about why some S4 users are unable to download and use the app. Unfortunately, due to restrictions surrounding the the coupon content included in the app, we must limit distribution to the US only. That said, we are working diligently on an app without the coupon content (at least initially), that will be available for worldwide use. We hope to have that app available in the coming weeks!
We appreciate your input and look forward to counting you all among the growing number of happy beamers.

Thanks for clearing that up and keeping us up to the date. I've also just tried out the app today, and it's been fantastic as far as adding some physical cards I have. I'll try it at the store tomorrow and play with it a bit more and then give a review.
