Ok im on jvb i9000 2.3.3 GR-10. I have flash both kernels xcal and talon. I get the same issue with my accelerometer wont get out of horizontal its stuck. I have to turn off the auto rotation to get it back to portrait.
List of things i have done.
Flashed stock JVB i9000 2.3.3 and rooted-
Flashed GR-10/with stock kernel- No Rotation
Flashed latest Xcal reoriented kernel- No Rotation
Flashed latest Talon kernel- No Rotation
I have calibrated, hard resets, Reflashed ROMs Reflashed kernels
Please help what have i done wrong. Otherwise everything works great.
Have you flashed back to stock to verify that it is not a hardware issue?

I see all these kernels for CM7 and EB and TW ROMs but none for stock ROM. I'm sticking on stock ROM for a while mainly due to the LG camera app which I love and my GPS is fully functional which I use frequently. I'd love to have an OC kernel or just a kernel in general to flash on the stock ROM. Does one exist that I didn't see in the dev section? Thanks!
you should try eaglesblood 1.0.4 froyo because that is pretty much like stock with some optimization. You can flash EB 1.0.4Froyo directly over stock without wipe, then apply the Trinity kernel. That works for sure because I tried it (what I did was stock --> eb 1.0.2 --> eb 1.0.4 froyo --> kernel, all without wiping)
you could also try the Trinity kernel for EB 1.0.4Froyo on your stock rom. (should work; I didn't try so make sure you have a backUP)

Any kernel that works for EB Froyo should work on stock froyo, and any kernel that works for EB Gingerbread should work for the leaked gingerbread. EB is just modified stock.
The main thing you don't want to do is use a kernel build for CM7 on some other rom or the other way around. CM kernel are completely unique and aren't compatible with anything else.
I've used the Trinity kernel for EB froyo with the stock rom and it was very smooth. The only bug I found was that it broke USB mounting.
Thanks for the reply guys, will give EB 1.04 FroYo a shot later on!!

Same reason why i wanted to stay stock when I was running CM7 I read some of the other threads and I'm now running EB froyo with the trinity kernel and I havent thought about going back.
You get to use the stock HD camera and record in HD which matters as well I have gotten better benchmarks averaging around 3200.
I just installed the [Kernel]CM7 [2.6.32.45] on my phone with CM7 already installed. when I turned on the device after the LG logo my screen turns black?!! What coulfd be the issue...I apologize if i come off as a idiot....
You installed what kernel???
From who?
From where?
Cm7 rom has a stock kernel, so you must have flashed a custom kernel, did you check to see if it was compatible with cm7??
Yes its this kernel [Kernel]CM7 [2.6.32.45]. I downloaded from XDA and it says its compatible with CM7. When i rebooted the G2x from CWM the LG logo showed up and then went to a black screen
Just enable USB connection and put a different kernel on ur phone and flash it. Ur phone obviously can't handle the kernel

Also this happened to me when flashing an underclocked kernel from cm7. But then i flashed a different version of it and its now working perfectly i get mad battery.life.

Which CM7 Kernels could the G2x handle fo.....Im new to the whole kernel thing & im tryna get some help & I want to get more power from my phone.
Each kernel is different for speed, battery life, experimental... so on and so on. Every chipset is different in our phones some can't handle certain kernels.

So what kernels would work on any G2x?? Thanks for the tip idk all our chip sets are different.

Don't forget to wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, then flash kernel, then run fix permission, reboot, enjoy

Sounds they are referring to Faux's Kernel...
You have to match them up properly as CM7 just went through a few kernel changes and the Custom Kernel developers have to make them compatible. I think Faux has .44 out which is supposed to work...
Then you also have 4 options from Faux: Pre-OC/UV or Stock Speeds; and CM and DS battery drivers.

Device: LG G2X
Rom: MIUI 1.11.11 (2.3.7)
Issue: Black Screen After Phone Call
Failed Fix Attempts: Turning Off Proximity Sensor, Reflashing Rom
Question: Does anyone know how to fix this issue? The only way to turn the phone back on after some calls is to pull the battery and turn the phone back on. It's starting to get a little frustrating. Any help is appreciated.

Its more a kernel issue than a rom issue.
If your using Trinity kernel than that would be I'm guessing the reason why. I always had the call SOD when using Trinity kernel new or old. Ive used different kernels to see if it would help and that fixes it for me. Currently am running eagle blood with faux's 4.3 kernel and that resolved my call SOD. I could be wrong in your case but for me it worked switching kernels.

That would explain it because I actually was using Trinity. Now I am using Dragon-G2X and its working perfect (so far). Thanks for your input.
i was trying to flash for the first time my samsung infuse with the serendipity VII rom, so i flashed the kernel with sgs flasher and when the phone rebooted it stuck in the samsung screen and it has been that way for like an hour.. i know that it takes time when you flash the kernel but i think something is wrong.. any suggestion or solution?
What kernel did you flash
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk
Did you flash a froyo kernel or a gingerbread kernel.... S7 is a gingerbread rom so therefore you have flash a gb kernel. Use three finger combo...vol up,vol down and power to boot back into recovery and reflash your rom

If D's suggestion doesn't work... odin. You'll find a big long list of important info stickied call super thread in the Dev section.
Anyone try it on skyrocket? Any issues?
Should I still use our cm7 kernel or just flash his rom?
It should work for us but if you use our kernel then you probably won't see all the bug fixes that he's made. If you use his kernel then you won't have working auto rotation.
