Hello all, I was going through my contact list on my EVO and thought what a great idea it would be to save multiple images to a single contact. This would be especially helpful when you travel a good deal. I meet new people all the time and if i could have multiple pictures of that particular person saved to one contact it would make it much easier to remember the acquittance.
Another use, someone asks who are you talking to. You show the contact and scroll through the images.
What do you all think, it shouldn't be too hard but then again I am not a developer.
its terrible that Google hasnt incorporated this into the standard contacts
5 years later and we can still only put 1 pic per contact?

I think I know the answer to this already, and if I'm right, it's a bit pap!
The Favourites tab in Manila 2.5 allows you to add contacts there, as per previous versions of Manila. The problem I have is that you can't just add a person. You have to add a contact method for a person.
For example, I add my mate Chris, but I sometimes call him, sometimes text him, and sometimes email him. In order to create a shortcut where I can do these things, I need to create one for each of them, and therefore have 3 shortcuts for 1 person.
I've really looked round to see if there are any settings that could change this crappy behaviour, but as far as I can see, it's just poo.
Anyone got any words of wisdom on this matter?
I'm not a fan of this little feature either, but the way I get deal with it is by tapping the NAME of the contact, not the contact picture. this will take you to the contact's info (i.e. the unified communications screen you normally get after selecting a contact) from there you'll be able to email/call/text them
Well I am an Android migrant as of last week and I am loving the overall experience, especially the large community of savvy developers.
Now regarding Sense and it's pesky contact book sync issues.
First issue is, I don't want any of my Google contacts syncing with my phonebook or any part of my phone for that matter as I don't maintain that address book. Second of all when I pull up the Phone application the entire list is populated with every one of my Facebook friends who has ever entered a contact number (including 1800suckmyballs).
I am looking for a solution to remedy this situation but also still be able to associate individual contacts with a Facebook profile. Anyone out there that knows the ins-and-outs of Sense better? Can you give me a hand?
Regards, Dom
If you are anywhere near as immature as my friends and I are, then you might find this helpful. This is a simple app to send very large numbers of text messages to a number of your choice. There is basic contact integration and the choice to send either five or twenty five messages at a time. You can also choose what the message says. I put this app together because it is always funny when your friends phone is going off over a thousand times. (especially in class...) I highly recommend having an unlimited texting plan if you use this, and probably make sure the person you are spamming is a friend that wont freak out too much.
These are known as SMS bombers They used to be on the market but were pulled..
Well, tested on myself and it works Thanks.
I've been using Google contacts and email for some time now and am surprised that there is not a more robust contact management solution from a sales perspective. Most people I think, have a need today to make good searchable notes about the people the they meet, and add reminders to follow-up with certain ones or groups of them.
I was reminded again today how horrible this contact management situation still is today, when I added a contact that I met at a Chumber of Commerce lunch. I remembered "Mark J" which is meaningless to me so I entitled the contact with a two letter code identifying the restaurant where we met, as much of the name I could remember, and relavant details. The title was Db Mark J Owner Limo Svc.
Now what I like about that, is that no longer are you forced to split the name into separate fields because that wouldn't fit.
What I don't like is that when I did a search immediately after adding the name for the word "limo' which is, for crying out loud, in the title of the contact, it did not come up! It wasn't even in the notes or some other field which should also be searchable?
How do others handle this? I know about SalesForce.com and others but monthly commitments are a small business owner's worst nightmare. Is there any way to improve this?
I'd like to at least be able to find a Google contact with a search.
I'd also like to add reminders to follow up on various groups or search matches.
I'd also like to be able let an email campaign interact with them without creating separate lists.
Assistance is greatly appreciated in helping me to get more out of contact management.
Learn java. Create new contacts app.
Or contact Google..
No one from Google will see your issues here.

I have a bit of a strange question - searched but couldn't find any info.
I have an S21 Ultra on Android 11, however I believe this isn't phone-specific and effects older versions of Android as well.
When you want to share something on Android, you click the share button in whatever app or item you're looking to share. A sharing menu appears, and gives suggestions on both apps to share with, and also contacts to share directly with.
My issue is that my main contacts are NEVER suggested.
As an example, I message 2 people multiple times per day using Signal (much more than any other contacts), and every time I want to share anything with them, I get suggestions for various other contacts on Signal, but never the 2 I actually want. I then have to choose Signal, then chose the specific contact(s) to share.
I've attached a screenshot of what I mean.. It shows the menu that appears directly after hitting share. In this case I've picked a photo, clicked share, and on the top line it's suggested 2 x Signal contacts and 2 x Whatsapp contacts. And none of the 4 suggested are regular contacts.
Is there anyway to enforce certain suggestions for sharing?
TIA
