Hi, I was recently looking for an email client that supported folders when using Pop3 email. Maildroid just released their latest update and now has this feature. The client works very nicely. I have been looking for this feature since I got my Droidx last summer and someone finally did it. Enjoy.
$17.99 is way too high for an email client IMHO.
There is a free version too. Just missing a few features. Nothing I miss.

Thanks for the heads up on this, it is great! Great enough that I have uninstalled the Gmail app and am now using this exclusively for all of my email needs.

Hey does anyone know any good email applications for the x10.
My experiences with K9 do not seem to be good. I dont know it doesnt work for me. My emails dont get updated, it something freezes. BUT it does have good features.
I tried maildroid but it doesnt save the emails for offline reading. Still waiting on developers response.
The stock email app is okay but lacks MAJOR SIMPLE features. Like "select all" "delete from server"
Are there any other good Email Apps??
re:
Did you email me? I respond to every email, so you should have seen something. In any event, offline cache is just set for pop3 right now. I will be supporting offline cache for IMAP in the next version which will be released next week.
lol the world is small
yeh thanks
I find maildroid to be rather awesome, would be nice if I somebody could me figure out how to access an exchange server which isnt running on port 80 for ex. http://exchange.myserver.com:8093/exchange
i have been using TouchDown from Nitrodesk. This is so far the best mail client for accessing exchange mail and it support HTML.
I find that the one that comes with the phoneisn't so bad, but it's the best looking of them all

the default email app in the tab is good enough. i don't know about k9 mail. you're trying to which email provider?
Moxier Mail or Touchdown are the best for exchange on android. They're not free though.
Never did work for me either. The only reason I wanted a replacement of the native Email client was the inability of the native client to word wrap the long lines properly (or none at all). So all those branded company emails eventually appear so tiny and unreadable unless you zoom them in. K-9 never worked because our company server has Exchange 2010. I'm going to try Moxier Mail, and let's see if that works ( or works better)
Moxier mail wraps text perfectly on my phone. Haven't tried it with the Tab but I'm sure it'll be fine.
Well, I end up using Touchdown..so far, it has been good, at least I can copy and paste...thanks to all the input..

Sorry to revive a slightly old thread, but this is relevant
K-9 is real close to having exchange 2010 functionality. (I'm to new to post a link to the google code repository for proof)
I enjoy Enhanced Email. Its real good.
You should really REALLY try the default email app on Gingerbread. Judging by your signature, you are still using your tab on Froyo.
The eMail client that comes with Gingerbread on the tab is far superior to the initial one that came with the tab. To be specific, inline images load faster, you can respond to meeting requests and it feels a lot more responsive.
The zoom problem is not fixed, but in my experience it happens less than it used to. This is subjective as I may receive far fewer messages that cause this behavior, but I'm just saying... give it a try, it won't hurt.
Cheers,
C.
But it doesn't show html emails.
Mine does show all emails, HTML and plain text alike, including embedded interactive objects such as flash. It actually uses the same browser webkit as Chrome, though it has some performance issues in this respect (not as smooth as the browser IMHO).
PS: inline images cannot be placed inside plain text emails (I make references to such objects in my previous post) :-D

Anyone know if K-9 is now real real close to having exchange 2010 functionality? K-9 seems to be the 'defacto' email support option for smartwatches, so I might use it just to grab emails for a smartwatch.

Hi, guys
I'm looking for a good Mail App that is clean and simple.
GMail: GMail is quite good. But I don't like the fact, that I can't deactivate to group the E-Mails. If I have more E-mails, I want them seperatly and not grouped like in Gmail.
Stock Android E-mail: This is an app I'm looking for. Simple and clean interface. Only problem is, that I can't push Mail to other folders.
An app I like is k-9. But it takes a long time to configurate it. Does anybody know an app that is in between the stock e-mail app and K-9? Would be great if I could add more than one account and switch between. (like HTCMail)

(thereĀ“s no other app like k9 )
Enhanced E-mail is excellent!push notification is what makes it rule out k-9

+2 Enhanced Email is a great app, works with hotmail accounts to.
I'm going to have to agree with those suggesting Enhanced Email...just switched from K9 recently and it's great so far. A big plus is that the dev is often in the chat/forums on EE's site helping figure out any problems and working on requested features.

Thanks everyone! The support for my app Enhanced Email has been incredible. I continue to give back to the community here on XDA and via Twitter just as a show of gratitude. Not sure how many people know I got my start here with my Email app which eventually made it on to the market.
Enhanced Email
Anyone knows wad is the settings for exchange hotmail & live accounts? How to set up?
Seven emaiil client is one of the best, auto setup for Hotmail, gmail, yahoo. and only real yahoo push mail client(third party), Home screen widget support too.
Now a days removed from market, you can find it from XDA too,
I can update here, but as new user i am not eligible to paste outside link
What email client is everyone using?
Stock email client
I'm using stock. Seems to be fine for my IMAP accounts.
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
I like the way the stock client feels, I can't find a search function which really bothers me. I just wish it had more features. The problem is that email programs like k-9 mail or enhanced mail are not optimized for the tablet screen so they look kinda of stupid. I guess I just have to wait for soemthing better?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I wish it had a "select all" feature; its a pain selecting emails one at a time to delete..
I like the stock email.. works fine with my exchange server and the features that it is supposedly lacking are features that I dont really use, so I dont notice. The widget is just awesome and I love that I can easily access recent emails from my homescreen. I find myself more and more using the tablet for email while I use my laptop for the heavier work. Its great being able to have the email open on my tablet so I can read detailed instructions or long lists while I work on a project. So all I'm looking for in an email client is: works with my exchange, displays my emails on my tablet (wow! I'm needy), and has some sort of search. The widget's just an added bonus.
I'm using stock, gmail, and touchdown lol.
I think I've had enough with the stock e-mail app for getting my work e-mails. It dims the entire phone every time I open it, it flickers when I scrolls, etc. This is on multiple ROMs with multiple versions of Jelly Bean. I'm convinced the app just plain sucks.
Anyone use any revolutionary third-party apps that they want to share? I checked out TouchDown and Moxier... but $20? No thanks. K-9 seems just OK.
thanks!

We're on Exchange via Office 365 cloud
Touchdown is great, but expensive. Keep an eye out for sales, I got it for $2 about 2 years ago
You can try the AOSP client, I believe beans has it in his roms. You can also use enhanced email but I stopped using it since I got my S3, the app was acting weird...

I'm trying out Aqua Mail right now. It is only SMTP at this point. No direct Exchange connectivity (ActiveSync)... YET. I e-mailed the dev and he is considering getting a license from M$ to add it to his app.
Other than that I love it. It's free but appends a watermark of sorts at the end of email drafts. $5 to unlock pro version.

Well... found my solution. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33402676&postcount=5
It's an inverted AOSP email flashable zip. It's just plain sexy. It doesn't have any of the issues the default JB e-mail app has.
If you're interested....
-Nandroid
-Delete the SecEmail and SecExchange apk's from /System/App with a root file manager
-Flash the zip in link above
-Go into app manager and force stop/delete data on email AND exchange. I had to do this to get it to work. Not optional.
-Profit.

Another vote for Enhanced Email. It handles multiple accounts, including Gmail, well enough that I had it as my main email app for a while.

The problem with using an alternate email client is you lose the new notification features of jelly bean. I was a long time user of Enhanced Email, but given the issues using it in jelly bean, and losing out on some improved notification functions I opted to use the stock app. I do miss the custom led notifications though

I've used them all. Enhanced Email, Touchdown, Mail droid, K-9, Kaiten, etc... All are good but all do not have it "all" for functionality. I did like enhanced email on my phone but hated it on tablet due to not having the preview pane option. Touchdown is super powerful but only allows exchange email. Mail droid has great features but does not yet support calendars. K-9 was great until my company changed to exchange server 2010 which K-9 does not support.
I feel like I am on a lifelong search for a do it all email client.

I forked over $20 and bought Touchdown. Great layout. Love it. Done.
I just wish touchdown did more than 1 account.
