Lost root after install rom - HTC Inspire 4G

I just rooted my phone. So i decided to try this rom out
[ROM][3-15-2011]TPC Inspire 4g Stock ROM Optimized v2|OC|HSUPA|No Bloat
After installing it I have lost my root, don't know how.. Anyone else have this happen to them? Is there easy fix or do I need to start over?
Thanks,
Mike

You lost root or super user isn't working? Try booting into recovery and go to advanced and fix permissions.

how do i boot into recovery and do this?
i used root checker to see if i still had root and i didn't. tried using rom manager it even says i don't have root anymore.. not sure what happen.
thanks,
mike

Sounds like you had temp root and not perm root. You need to rerun the hack kit.

clockworkmod is not available

I have an inspire that I got T-mobile working on it and after I rooted the phone i didn't flash it to a custom rom. So now I want to get ClearDroid in it, but when I tried to go to ROM manager there wasn't a pop-up saying there's an update for clockworkmod recovery.
Now I don't know how to get clockworkmod installed. I've tried looking in the forums for solutions but still no luck. I also want to know if I did something wrong with the rooting.
I would really appreciate the help.
Wel can you tell me what the first entry is in your rom manager? Mine is flash clockwork recovery. Give that a go and see if it works for you.
What root method did you use? I used ACE HACK KIT and if I recall it put a clockwork recovery on my device.
Spark is correct...hack kit does add a clockwork recovery. Start adb and type adb reboot recovery to boot into it. Or, install Droid explorer on your pc and click tools, install custom ROM.

I used Bubby's simple root program. It's weird tho because I first used it on another inspire and I was able to root it and flash it to another ROM. The second time I rooted on a different inspire(the one with the T-mobile) I can't flash it to a different ROM.
I've confirmed with root checker that the phone is rooted and I was thinking if it's advisable if I should root it again.
One more thing when I tried to go into boot mode and there was an orange blinking light. I just took out the battery and got it working again. What I heard is that it could be a sign of semi-bricking the phone.
Might be best to flash back to stock using the RUU in Bubby's one click, however, you may lose the ability to use T-mobile. I'll think about it after I get some sleep.

I was also thinking about flashing back into stock and after that just try to root everything again to work with T-Mobile

Can't seem to find an answer to this root question. Little help please

I rooted my wife's Inspire 4g using SuperOneClick and all went well...busybox and Superuser were installed on the phone. I enabled non-market apps and even installed a few but today I dl'd Titanium backup and attempted to backup her stuff so I could proceed with modded roms and the root permission was denied and Superuser is missing. I dl's root checker and there is no root or busybox now....any help would be appreciated
Thank you !!!
P.S. Can I just use SOC again to try and re-root the phone or is there something else that im missing going on?
Not sure if this will work, but it's worth a shot. Use ROM Manager to download and install the latest Super User (Download ROM>>Extras). If ROM Manager doesn't work either, you can just download the latest SU from my dropbox here. It's a .zip file that you flash in recovery mode.

OP, once you get Su on there, you may be able to get busybox on by way of titanium backup. It's my assumption that the two are separate entities... Getting Su doesn't automatically give you busybox, I don't think, but TiBU has an option for installing a "known working busybox," after you push its "problems" button, but you need to get Su on there first, I would think.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't SuperOneClick only provide temporary root? Once you reboot root is gone. Use acehack kit or bubbys simple one click for permanent root

You are correct. SOC on;y provides temp root. No S-Off is attained so no rom can be flashed...

I can confirm this 100%. Before I rooted my phone with the ace hack kit, I used soc to enable installing from unknown sources. It temp rooted my phone, also installing busybox and su. Once I rebooted my phone, it was as stock as can be again, with bb and su gone. This is normal for soc op, since it doesn't have the ability to perma root the phone.

just use hack kit or flash rooted rom after one click. hack kit is much better with more options and so easy now with 11

[Q] is it possible to Root without CWM (using stock boot loader unlocker)

Hi,
Is it possible to root the sensation after unlocking the Bootloader using the HTCDev method? without installing the CWM and custom Recovery.
I had to run the RUU and lost all my data recently when i was unable to revert back to stock recovery using the Guide on the forums and would like to avoid custom recovery if rooting is possible without
Don't do the HTCDev method, that's gonna like void your warranty, and it doesn't even do the job. Just go and try the step by step again, and maybe you'll get a better result
But I've already done that, don't think there's a way to revert (yet).

I don't think so.
To install root, you'd need to get a root prompt in shell, then mount /system rewrite, then copy over an app and a half binary, then make a symlink with that binary, which is a lot of work when flashing cwm then a su install zip will accomplish this with much more ease.

[Q] ICS 4.0.3 ROM Manager Problem

I followed the guide on General forum to flash ICS 4.0.3 stock but my ROM Manager Premium isn't working properly.
Flash ClockworkMod, Reboot into Recovery works fine. It seems like everything else works too........
BUT Fix Permission. When I try to run it, it says 'An error occured while attemping to run privileged commands!'
Titanium Back Pro has green check marks on everything including Root access.
SuperUser and other apps that needs root access seems to work fine.
I downloaded Root Checker Basic and it says that my Nexus S is rooted.
Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper has all check marked as well.
Fix permission works fine on CWM recovery and I see CWM recovery when I reboot in recovery, not stock recovery.
Could anyone help me out with this problem... Thank you!
Just tried and same thing....not sure rom manager might need to be updated

Hopefully that is the cause of the problem. I will try contact the developer.

[Q] Lost root access after installing supersu

I rooted my phone and installed jellyBAM rom, I later tried to install supersu from the app store and completely lost root access. Now i tried flashing supersu but i still cannot get root again. I removed supersu and tried flashing superuser but im still missing root. Is their any-way that I can regain my root access with your app because I would prefer to not have to do a factory reset. I know that jellyBAM has a built in superuser that's build into the settings.apk, Im assuming that this is the problem.

It is in fact a 4.3 rom, do you have any ideas on where the setting may be?
It originally worked with its built in superuser. That superuser has practically no settings.
It just started working randomly.... I did not change anything so i do not understand it so thanks anyways, i guess we will never know what made it misbehave...
In setting -> developer option ->root access ->checked (Apps+Adb) then try again..
I hope this will help..
