Hey guys, first time poster here. I just rooted my phone the other day and am using VirusROM with Gingerbread. I am having trouble getting all my contacts info (i.e. pics, name) to appear in the standard texting app that comes with the OS.
I was wondering if anyone had found a fix for this, or was having the same issues.

hey guys, is anyone else using stock rom having issues with facebook sync not updating properly? I restored my phone back to non-root and all because I thought it was an issue when i reloaded rooted stock rom. I found a thread on FB about people saying theres an issue and HTC is aware of it. Just curious if anyone else is having problems. It adds facebook HTC sense to accounts and sync, but will not load any contacts or pics.
yeah, i'm having the same issues. I'm just using syncmypix for now for the contact pictures.. unfortunately the actual FB syncing is broken
Having the same issue here. None of my Facebook contacts show up. The only thing that's actually synced is my picture and my birth date.
Looks like its not just our device, all HTC Sense devices are having issues sync'ing apparently. I read through some HTC forums and they are working on it. There was a post today on the main page:

So wait the facebook not syncing with my contacts or even being able to link to my contacts is not a result of rooting my phone? I just rooted my phone yesterday and now i have no pictures or any facebook info in my phone book. I also did the OTA like 2 days ago, which is why i rooted in the first place (lost wifi tether) and untill all of this i had no problems with my phone at all.
With using the new leak of 2.2, facebook and everything is syncing just fine!

Yeah after poking around it seems all versions above (i think they said) 2.0 were having the issue for a short period of time. Probably to do some kind of server testing for the launch of froyo for evo or some phone or another. Seems to be working now and i'm going to reroot.
Hi guys i have a problem with tranquility 3.0 with nextheme over it. My contacts wont sync with facebook. so when i add like a new friend it wont update them in my phonebook. i have the contacts ive had since i went to tranq 3.0 awhile ago and all their statuses are from october. any idea why it wont sync and how to get it to sync??? reply with ideas thanks!
Tranquility doesn't have any social syncing capabilities. Anything you have left from October was most likely synced from your previous ROM. I am in the process of flashing a new ROM for this reason.

I bought my nexus s today, and i noticed that Facebook wouldn't sync to my phone! it starts by not asking whether or not to sync contacts when i install the Facebook app and continues by not responding to 'add account' in 'accounts & syncs' in settings.
I really like the option that i can see my fav's pictures.
any ideas what can i do to solve this?
but all and all amazing phone, specially after coming from here, after two years
2.3.3 intentionally disabled facebook syncing. the way to bypass this is to flash a custom ROM such as CM7

Just like what tomm posted. This change was intentional on Google's part.
CM7 modified it to enable syncing in 2.3.3 again. You also gain a lot of extra benefits using CM7
Hey everyone,
So, long story short, I was moving from a Droid X to a Droid Charge, wanted to keep my apps etc, Titanium backup'd the Droid X stuff and restored on my rooted Droid Charge. Some apps were overlapped and issues arose. I sorted them all out except for the Calendar. It wouldn't launch so I thought I had to do what I did with the other overlapped apps and delete it. Welllll...now I can't re-install the Touchwiz calendar. Can anyone help me re-install it? Or any calendar for that matter?

Hey guys, for some days im also in the CM7 club now. Since I prefer the GMail-App which comes with the stock Sensation over the AOSP mail client I recovered it with Titanium Backup. Now I don't get any Mails pushed to my phone anymore, I have to sync manually from the Gmail App all the time.
Anybody got an advice how to fix this? Is the GMail-App also available in the market, so I could try getting it from there and reinstall it?
